Reviews mention

  • Low-glycemic formula, blood-sugar friendly
  • Soft-baked, chewy cookie texture
  • Colorful, eye-catching packaging
  • High-fiber, portion-controlled packs
  • Occasionally dry, cakey texture
  • Noticeable sweetener aftertaste
  • Small cookie size, scant quantity
  • Inconsistent, muted flavor intensity

Joydays earns largely positive reviews as a low-glycemic, low-sugar cookie that satisfies sweet cravings without spikes, with many comparing the soft-baked texture to Chewy Chips Ahoy and praising colorful packaging, generous chocolate chips, fiber, and portion-controlled packs. Reviews also flag downsides: frequent dryness or “healthy”/aftertaste notes, small cookie size, inconsistent texture, and polarizing flavors (notably peanut butter), making them a better-for-you alternative rather than a true classic cookie replacement.

  • Really enjoyed these cookies as a quick on the go snack! Will be buying in the future - especially the peanut butter or chocolate ones. Love how portable they are and I now keep one in my purse in case i get hungry

  • I had one bite, just awful. I wouldn’t eat if it were free let alone I had to pay a half. This is a long overdue review tho, is the brand still in the market? For those who are looking for sugar free cookies, make your own with swerve, my friends couldn’t tell the difference!

  • Me and family really loved them. It was soo chocolate without any chemical or dryness or unessary sugar or artificial ingredients or flavors to the bar. It hit my chocolate levels. Easy to carry along with for traveling.

  • I quite liked these - I tried the chocolate chip flavor. They were a bit smaller than I expected, however for me, they're the perfect size for a little snack. I also love that they are low in sugar, so I'd feel a little less guilty about eating them on a regular basis. The texture was good for a pre-packaged cookie - they were slightly chewy, but it didn't feel artificial. Overall, I'd recommend.

  • I've tried three different flavors of cookies from this brand. Honestly I think they are pretty good, but I can definitely taste the allulose in these. It's not a knock on the cookies themselves, but I know some people can't stand the taste of alternative sweeteners. I personally really like the chocolate chip and double chocolate ones and appreciate that they are soft cookies. I just wish the price for these wasn't so high.

  • These cookies can be found at my local Walmart in the diabetic aisle only. They are low glycemic and specifically made for this reason. The packaging indicates it also. Anybody can eat them, but they should understand the health aspect before writing anything negative in a review. The pink package/chocolate chip contains 10 smaller soft chewy cookies. To me they are satisfying and I bet it wouldn't hurt having them as breakfast snack! High fiber, low sugar and real chocolate - somehow this company put it all together and made an excellent snack you don't have to regret. Well done in my opinion!

  • I’m usually a harsh grader with date sweetened snacks, as I compare them against their sugar sweetened counterparts. I wouldn’t eat a snack that good for a date sweetened snack—I’ll eat it because it’s good enough to replace a sugar sweetened snack. These Joydays date chocolate barks will definitely replace their otherwise sugary counterparts for me. This is only the second date sweetened snack I can confidently say that about, other than Date Better!

  • The texture is thicker/crumblier than expected and there is a slight aftertaste, but they're not bad for a healthier cookie alternative! I feel like if it was a flatter cookie it'd be a bit more palatable? Also love that they have sunflower lecithin as a breastfeeding mom :)

  • I was really hoping these cookies would taste closer to a cookie than they do :/ I’d compare them closer to a chocolate chip protein bite. They definitely satisfy a sweet craving though, just not a cookie craving. I was also a bit underwhelmed opening the package and finding how small the cookies are and how much empty space was in the package. Overall, they are okay. I probably wouldn’t pay the price and just have a normal cookie as a treat.

  • The packaging looks bigger than the content inside. The chocolate chip cookie has a nice chew to the cookie. It's almost like a cookie dough texture. There's lots of chocolate chip. The flavor tastes sweet but not overly sweet. It's just right. The price is high for the size and quantity of cookies.

  • Tasty cookies! I liked them more than other “healthy” brands and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture. Will definitely repurchase when the sweet tooth hits but I want to be semi healthy!!

  • I tried Joydays out of curiosity because I’m always looking for better snack options that won’t spike my blood sugar. Honestly, they’re not your classic sweet, gooey cookie, but they’re not trying to be. The flavor is pretty good and I actually found them satisfying when I wanted something sweet without overdoing it. The texture isn’t perfect, but it grew on me. They are a bit pricey, which might be a dealbreaker for some, but if you're trying to stay on track with your health, they’re a nice treat to have around.

  • As a family of 6, we all love our chocolate! I am a huge fan of various nuts (like almonds) and dates. Which is why I had to try this Joydays Dark chocolate dare barks with 2 flavors. Peanuts and Almonds, my favorite was the almonds and my husband and his mom loved peanuts. My whole family loved the combination of chocolate, (sweet and salty flavors). I'll be honest, I do wish it had less salt in these. I've never been a big fan of salty things but it's not a deal breaker and most people I know would love this! Great special treat for a special neighbor, a child, holiday gift in a basket or even part of a teacher's gift. This is perfect for afternoon snack, special treats for kids, a fix for a sweet craving or dessert for an elegant evening. I highly recommend this pack!

  • For a healthy, clean cookie that has low sugar, it’s a good cookie. It has the texture of like a blondie or brownie. With 3 grams of sugar per pack, it is not going to be an incredibly sweet cookie and won’t taste like your regular grocery store cookie, but it helps satisfy those cookie cravings and is a great alternative and replication of a healthier cookie.

  • I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the packaging and I saw the cookies and how big they were. I liked that they were a smaller size because I was worried that they were larger and this allowed me to eat more cookies in one sitting. I love that they were lower in sugar and I didn't even notice a taste difference with the lower sugar. And improvement that I could see is that the cookies were a little bit drier than I would have preferred but otherwise they were very tasty.

  • I tried the chocolate chip cookies and they were great! I'm a huge fan of a chewy cookie rather than a crispy cookie so these won me over. They're just the right amount of sweet but without the sugar, which is the most important part for me. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars is the cost - I probably won't go seek these out on my own again.

  • After an extensive search, I found these cookies in the refrigerated section of the store, which greatly surprised me. The packet size is small, but there are only two small cookies inside. The cookies themselves were soft and full of flavor. They were so delicious that they left me wanting more.

  • Tons of fiber (and also fat) for only two cookies. I was most impressed by the fact that these are sweetened with monk fruit but don’t have an overly artificial taste. I tried the double chocolate which was pretty neutral tasting as far as cookies go.

  • Surprised at the taste. Joy days was light, soft and chocolatey cookies. I enjoyed the texture, reminds me of a Whoopi pie (no filing). Packaging was colorful and minimal. I appreciate the fiber and low sugar. Joy days are a yummy treat! I’m looking forward to trying the peanut butter. I PURCHASED THIS THROUGH AMAZON
