Reviews mention

  • Clean, organic ingredient list
  • Rich, satisfying chocolate flavor
  • Creamy, indulgent filled centers
  • Wide, inventive flavor assortment
  • Premium price for quantity
  • Occasional chalky bar texture
  • Very dark profile alienates palates
  • Over-salted chocolate-covered nuts

Hu Kitchen earns strong reviews for high-quality, clean-ingredient chocolate that tastes rich yet not overly sweet, with standout flavors like Cashew Butter + Raspberry, Almond Butter Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut Coffee, and Vanilla Crunch; it is widely considered good and satisfying. Reviews also flag drawbacks: a premium price, occasionally chalky texture, very dark flavor profile that won’t suit everyone, some overly salty chocolate-covered nuts, and a mention of lead-content allegations prompting caution.

  • By far my favorite chocolate on the market. I love that I can feel good about indulging in a square, while getting great healthy benefits without any added ingredients that take away from the chocolate's health benefits. It's lightly sweet and comes in a variety of great flavors, from Vanilla Crunch to Hazelnut Butter (combined to taste similar to Nutella). The filled bars are crisp with a creamy interior, while the chocolate itself is incredibly smooth. Plus, the chocolate-covered cashew are another amazing, smooth, sweet treat. Highly recommend.

  • I eat a ton of chocolate and i'm a huge believer of no "off limits" foods in a balanced diet. That said, I do pay attention to ingredients and ingredient labels, and that's what's attractive about this brand. I like how they come in paper packaging, and they always taste really good.

  • The dark chocolate cashew butter orange is one of the best bars of chocolate I've ever had. So good!!! The milk flavors don't seem as worth it to me.

  • For gluten and dairy intolerant friends, I always buy this chocolate. One of my favorite chocolate brands on the market. Every once in a while there's a flavor I'm not a fan of, but it's always a crazy flavor combo- personal preference. Refreshing to see a brand take fun risks with chocolate!!

  • Often in my pantry. Clean ingredients, have never tried a product of theirs that I didn't like.

  • I love the variety of Hu products and their label is SO CLEAN. They've really nailed clean indulgence. The price point is definitely higher but relative to other better for you desserts, it's pretty on par.

The chocolate covered almonds were really salty imo.

  • I've tried a few of their dark chocolates and they are delicious! So smooth and creamy and the filled ones are incredible. Would buy again!

It's a little expensive for me to buy as much as I'd like to. They're high-quality so I understand but that's my only complaint.

  • The clean ingredients list is what initially attracted me. I’m not always the biggest fan of dark chocolate but I found myself really enjoying theirs. Only downside is the higher price point, but it makes sense given the lack of cheap filler ingredients.

  • The Hu gems appeared in my friend's apartment (courtesy of his roommate) one time and I thought it was good, but nothing special. And then it appeared in my dream a few months later. So then I tried the chocolate bar with the almond butter and quinoa puffs and it was delicious. Love that it's dairy-free and can honor my lactose intolerance... not sure if I'd go to a grocery store just to buy a bar.

  • Hu Kitchen chocolate bars are so good, but recently I was introduced to their Gems, which are absolutely addictive. It's so easy to scarf down a handful without even realizing. They are a lovely little sweet treat. The only reason I don't buy them all the time is because they come a quite a high price.

  • These are my go-to chocolates. The company cares about where and how its ingredients are sourced and uses milk from grass-fed cows. I love the simple and salty dark chocolate bars, as well as all the nut butter ones, but the chocolate-covered almonds with sea salt are my absolute favorite.

  • This paleo-friendly chocolate is the bomb. It’s cut out into perfect little portions, allowing me 1) not to eat a bar in one sitting, and 2) make sure I can indulge while tracking macros (when applicable)

  • It’s really dark chocolate. You have to like dark chocolate to love the taste.

  • This chocolate is so, so good! It's smooth and indulgent. A few squares always satisfies a chocolate craving! The variety of flavors is very nice. I truly believe you can taste a difference compared to less expensive products. Even my kids like these chocolate bars! Well worth the splurge, in my opinion.

  • OBSESSED! Love that it is vegan and DELICIOUS... and multiple flavors to choose from. Always keep these in stock.

  • I love the clean ingredients and amazing taste of everything I’ve tried from this brand.

A little pricey, but ultimately worth the money.

  • Amazing flavor options -- love the clean ingredients too. My go-to chocolate brand!
