Hanni earns largely positive reviews for making body care feel effortless, with standouts like Splash Salve delivering deep, lasting moisture and the Water Balm offering a quick, weightless mist. Reviews also flag drawbacks: fragrances skew strong for many, Water Balm’s hydration can be too light or sticky for dry skin, and the weighted safety razor—though close-shaving and durable—nicks easily, clogs, and proves tricky around knees and ankles.

I found Hanni's Splash Salve to be an innovative way to moisturize my skin. I applied the salve directly in the shower as a last step, I then rinsed very quickly and it did seem to "activate" the salve and make my skin look nice and shiny. I patted down gently to dry. The salve does leave my skin much more moisturized than my usual products, it's almost more like a moisturizing treatment. I find that using it twice a week is the perfect amount for me. The scent is a strong floral/perfume type, I do find it too strong and would prefer something more subtle.

Hanni's Spash Salve is great at keeping my skin moisturized and works much better than my usual body butters and lotions. It adheres to the skin really well like a nice protective layer. The only thing to note is the really strong floral fragrance. I can still smell it the following day, it's that strong. I would love an unscented version.

This review is for the Water Balm only as I haven't tried the other products in their lineup. I think the idea behind it is great, the packaging is gorgeous, and it's really convenient as something you can throw in your bag for a trip or quick moisture boost mid-day or post-shower. I really enjoy the effortless spray application, and the scent is pretty (kind of floral, slightly spicy, and a little powdery). I don't know if I have skin as dry as the Mojave Desert or what, but I found that this didn't deliver for me on the level of moisture it was claiming to provide. I found that I had to spray a lot of it on my legs to really get them hydrated and even then, I found I needed a bit more from another moisturizer after. I now just use this to hydrate my arms & chest as I think it works well there where the skin is a little softer and thinner. I'd consider this more of a lightweight serum but not comparable to a body lotion, personally.

DRY SKIN? Look no further! My skin type is EXTREMELY dry. Saying, “dry” would be a form of understatement. So yes, extremely dry. I first learned about hanni via instagram. I was tired of trying products labeled for dry skin and it does everything but soothes my itchy skin. After showers my skin tends to itch, and no I don’t use hot water- it HAS TO BE COLD; the most insane part is that even after the cold showers, my skin still itch… well I should put that in the past tense. Before hanni, my skin would still itch even if showered in cold water. The cocoon cleansing bar is just PURE BLISS! I love how my skin feels after using the water balm spray on moisturizing mist directly after my showers. I can now use my favorite moisturizers without worrying about my skin drinking it and leaving me ashy LOL. My secret is to spray it all over my damped body, and barely rub it in (I just give it a few taps lol!). I then use my fav moisturizer, and then use the water balm to seal it in. I watch my skin glow on a daily now ;) I’d tell you to be careful with the [water balm] bottle as it is glass, (or should I say was) but hanni continues to raise the bar and up their game. For all my Dry skin and/or sustainable friends, get you some hanni :P

I thoroughly enjoyed this product! I've always wanted to try something like this so I can save time after I get out of the shower. The smell was different but I liked it! It smelled very natural/simple; an earthy/musky smell is how I would describe it. And it even doubled as an emergency hair conditioner because I showered at my boyfriend's and didn't have any! lol So I just used the excess from my hands in my hair. ^_^

The salve was a nice texture and made my skin soft. I'm not super into the scent but it doesn't make it unusable.

I received this product to test, and overall I liked the moisturizing balm for after-shower, but felt like the smell was a bit too overpowering for my taste. I don't think I would purchase again due to this.

The idea of this razor and the pricepoint over time - but in practice, I think I'm not quite there in terms of being able to use it without nicking myself. What I love: - the pricepoint (overtime - the refills are wayyy cheaper than a normal razor) - the longevity: the type of steel they use hasn't rusted for me - it's fun to shave not in the shower - I like using the 'fatty' moisturizer stick when I travel as a moisturizer - the blades bin is very cute (although I'm not sure what to do with it when I fill it) - I don't need to shave my armpits as frequently when I use this razor, so for sure it's getting super close What doesn't quite work for me - I try to go super slow! because I do think that going slow helps with being more intentional in your day to day, BUT I still can't seem to do it without nicking myself and bleeding every once in awhile - This has meant that I've need to create a dual system where I use this razor sometimes and for certain areas, and another one (Billie) for faster days, traveling, and near my knees/ankles

I got the water balm as part of a thingdrop. I really enjoy using it as an after shower moisturizer. It is a non oily texture which I love because I hate the residue left on surfaces you touch after using a traditional moisturizer. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly. It also doesn't have a strong scent. I also really like the size and heft of the bottle. It's in a pretty brown glass container so it feels luxurious.

I've tried the entire Hanni Beauty line, and while each product has its merits, a few have truly stood out in my routine. 1. Cocoon Cleanse This solid cleanser is a game-changer. It lathers beautifully and leaves my skin feeling clean without any tightness. The gentle formula is perfect for daily use, and the unique texture makes it a fun addition to my shower routine. 2. Water Balm As someone who often skips traditional body lotions, this spray-on moisturizer has been a revelation. It's lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave a greasy residue. Plus, the subtle scent is a delightful bonus. 3. Splash Salve This in-shower moisturizer is a must-have for anyone with dry skin. Applied after cleansing and rinsed off, it provides deep hydration, leaving my skin feeling soft and nourished without the need for additional lotions. 4. The Fatty This fatty acid-rich stick is perfect for targeted hydration. I use it on areas that need extra attention, and it delivers intense moisture without any mess. It's become a staple in my skincare routine. I'm still working through my first bottles and definitely plan to repurchase! As someone who dreads hydrating my skin, Hanni makes it fun.
An innovative product that lets you skip the post-shower lotion! LOVE the smell, it's not too heavily fragranced but it does remain on your body. My skin feels so moisturized. Only thing I didn't care for is that it takes quite a lot of the product to cover your body plus you get a bit cold in the shower as you're still wet.

I have the razor and shave pillow. What the razors is great and get the job done I found it hard to use the shave pillow since I shave in the shower. Shave pillow is great for after use but ultimately I forget to use it as part of my routine. I do like the razor a lot and it’s lasted a long time! I also like that you can just purchase replacement blades.

Really like the water balm. Super hydrating but not sticky or greasy. I would say the fragrance leans feminine. I would prefer an unscented or more masculine leaning scent, but thats a personal preference and should detract from the effectiveness.

I love the water balm. I am very lazy post shower routine and never want to put on lotion because it's so much "work". The water balm spritz is perfect. It's light weight, it's easy to spray on, it smells lovely. I am so happy I tried it. I will rebuy... My only question is whether it's heavy enough for winter dryness. We shall see I guess!

smells good
I was so pleasantly surprised by the Splash Salve. It's a modest container, and when it first arrived, I thought, "Wow, I’m going to use this up in two showers." My oh my, was I wrong. To my delight, the salve has a consistency similar to Vaseline, but a bit thicker, and a little goes a longggg way. I've been using it consistently for almost two weeks now and have barely made a dent. Needless to say, you get your money's worth. It also has a very light and subtle fragrance that I love, it pairs really nicely with all of my different perfumes and I've really enjoyed skipping my regular post shower moisturizer, which always feels like it takes me days and days to apply. This is a perfect substitute imo. 10/10 recommend! I think I’m going back for the whole discovery set.

The Shave Pillow was something I purchased for a three week long trip. It's now in my daily rotation. The SMELL! I could live in it.
When spraying the mist, on my legs I can say this is the lightest moisturizer I ever had on my skin. The mist is not on the sticky side, and as the name mentions water balm, feels just like water. When you by accident spill water on you, especially on your skin it usually soaks in fast and the water balm did the same. I tend to not like heavy lotions, because some feel greasy on me, which made this perfect for me. I wish it gave a little bit more hydration since it feels like nothing, but I still like using my gel moisturizer a little more. They changed the bottle to plastic, I have the glass bottle one, for to recycling which I like. I have the glass bottle version, but I know if you're clumsy like me and if I get the new version I would have to be careful. The spray design makes it mess-free because you don't have to scoop it out from a jar.

I have been using the hanni water balm for over a year now and am still obsessed with the smell! I typically spray it on my face every morning or whenever I need to feel refreshed - it dries pretty quickly. The bottle is a thick glass material - great quality. Even though I was gifted this, I will be repurchasing with my own money when I run out.
Obsessed doesn’t begin to cover it. The shower salve is pure magic. The razor is incredible. Best products.
