Grown Alchemist offers high-quality, aesthetically pleasing skincare products with lovely scents, and even initiated a thoughtful 'pay what you can' campaign during the Covid crisis. However, the brand has been criticized for its expensive prices, changes in product consistency, and specific products like its greasy sunscreen and products causing skin irritations.

Love grown alchemist. Particularly the primer. Makes my skin look instantly smoother and leaves a velvet finish. Great with and without makeup

.If you want to achieve a GLASS SKIN look, it is important to double cleanse. I use the gentle gel cleanser and I find it to be very effective. It has a pleasant fragrance as well.
I tried Grown Alchemist's Polishing Facial Exfoliant recently and it worked quite well. I tried it on face, hands, and elbows.
The hold the Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser has on me. I have bought many many tubes of this stuff since it was recommended to me by a facialist. I used to use makeup wipes to remove makeup and now I exclusively use this. It does an amazing job removing gel eyeliner that I wear every day. I wish this was less expensive and the metal tube gets a little annoying when you have a tiny bit left in there but otherwise no notes.
I've tried multiple products from this brand including their Anti Pollution Primer, Energy eye cream, and the new echinacea serum. All very high quality products although I didn't continue with the eye cream as I felt it didn't really work for me.
Super nice packaging + lovely scent, but can't say it works super well. I have the intensive hand cream and really like how it applies but I think it's too light to be "intensive." Metal tube is fun but not entirely practical especially when you start running low.
I wanted to love the sunscreen so bad, but I found it to be unbearably greasy on my oily skin! I tried to add setting powder on top to absorb the oil but I couldn’t shake the feeling of being covered in a thick layer of oil. I did feel the sunscreen protected my skin, so I do see the trade off. I just wish my skin wasn’t so oily so I could love it more!

Whilst pricey, I love their hand creams. Luxurious, gentle on skin, and the most lovely scents! Plus, so aesthetically pleasing!

Hand cream is so thick and moisturizing. It feels great, however it is pricey.
I love their creams!

The Grown Alchemist face cream gave me a rash, and the shampoo gave me dandruff. Now I have to carry my own products every time I go to Equinox! This is the worst update ever!
If i'm being honest... this brand just feels like a wanna be Aesop. None of the products have really worked out for me/been something i'd go back to, so i'm just not a huge fan!

I have only tried a few of the Grown Alchemist products. One of my absolute favourite body moisturizers is the Mandarin, Rosemary Leaf Body Cream. The product smells lovely and makes me feel like I'm at a day spa. Their Natural Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF30 was way too thick for my combination skin. I was hoping it would be a good fit, but I've found a better sunscreen and would recommend it over this. From a design perspective, I love that the Grown Alchemist brand identity (and *especially* the packaging) is well-structured, consistent, and scalable. The typography is cleverly playful and the product colours and finishes are a perfect mix of playful, sleek, yet sophisticated. Reminds me of Aesop. I love that they offer refills, and their gift sets are beautifully designed. During the initial craziness of Covid, Grown Alchemist launched a "pay what you can" campaign, which I thought was very considerate. One of the few brands that made such a generous offer during a very difficult time for many.
I tried grown alchemist nourishing shampoo and conditioner. I had heard good things and it was on sale so I bought it. It smells good. It wasn’t anything special, or a good match for my hair. The conditioner left my hair greasy no matter how hard I tried to get it out.

Product tried :Grown Alchemist Hand Cream Vanilla Orange Peel My hands get so so try after washing, so this handcream has become my favorite thing to carry in my purse. The scent is great but most importantly it is able to keep my hands supple and moisturized. Only four stars because I think the packaging could be better
Love their branding and that they are using clean ingredients. IMO their products are a bit expensive but they do use quality ingredients (and their products smell really nice). My fav from this brand is the anti-polution makeup primer. Smells devine and gives me a matte look without drying my face. Perfect to apply my makeup.
I have tried a variety of grown alchemist skincare products and have liked everything I've tried. Some were gifted as part of product review platforms and then I've purchased some myself. Their products are high quality and work well with my sensitive skin. I specifically like their gentle cleanser for my face and their serums. The products are quite expensive though. I gifted their hand wash/cream holiday set to my mom and she loved them but decided not to repurchase because of the price.

I had a sample of the Gentle Gel Facial Cleanser which is a wonderful tingly face wash cream. So I bought 4 of them, (which are not inexpensive!) for my grown kids. I received the product - exact same name and ingredients - but it is a heavier clear gel, not an easy to use cream. Why would they switch the product? I was very disappointed.
