Reviews mention

  • Hydrating formulas with dewy finish
  • Lightweight textures that layer beautifully
  • Makeup-friendly glow boosting effect
  • Refreshing, ultra-fine facial mist
  • Heavy fragrance in many products
  • Inconsistent long-term skin results
  • Occasional pilling overnight mask
  • Inconvenient jar-style packaging

Glow Recipe earns polarized reviews: many report plumper, hydrated, visibly glowy skin—especially from Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore‑Tight Toner and Niacinamide Dew Drops—while others find the products fragranced, underwhelming in efficacy, or irritating to sensitive skin. Reviews praise silky textures, refreshing mists, and makeup‑friendly glow, but cite heavy fragrance, occasional breakouts, pilling from the AHA night treatment, and fussy jar packaging as drawbacks.

  • Hydrating beauty products that left my skin feeling glowy and dewy. A little too scented for everyday wear but fun to use once in a while.

  • Got these as a birthday freebie from Sephora and WHOA holy fragrance??? Tried it once and it felt okay, but scared to use on a regular basis because I have sensitive skin.

  • Their branding is cute but I’m not a fan of the actual product. The ingredients aren’t as clean as they claim to be and have fragrance which is a big no for me in skincare. There are so many better skincare brands out there with quality/clean ingredients.

  • Don't understand the hype with these products. They smell fresh and feel great. But I don't think they do anything.

  • I have had great experience with Glow Recipe, specifically the Watermelon Glow line. The scent is light and fresh and I felt noticeable differences in my skin after application.

  • I’ve tried the watermelon toner, avocado eye cream and pomegranate serum. The toner smaller nice and seemed fine. The eye cream was thick and moisturizing but did nothing else (I used it at night only). The serum made my chin break out and didn’t work otherwise. Generally this line smells nice but isn’t actually effective.

  • tried the Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm and it did such a great job at removing my makeup and smells amazing too

  • Love the watermelon glow! My face has never felt softer!

  • The brand is probably 75% marketing and 25% efficacy, but the packaging is cute and it smells good. Weirdly, I also understand that spoiled tweens in NYC looove Glow Recipe...so make of that what you will. Only tried the glow drops (regular) and the glow water toner thingy. The watermelon scent is really good. Not too annoying or strong. Reasonably hydrating and felt really nice and gentle. Would I pay full price? Idk. I can probably find effective K-skincare that does something similar (or better) for less $$. I liked the *free* Sephora birthday gift though.

  • The Plump Plump Hylaurinic Cream feels great on my oily skin., hydrating and moisturizing without being greasy and heavy. also pairs well under makeup. i haven't tried much from glow recipe but this is sparking my interest!

Received a free product from Glow Recipe
  • I tried the glow recipe guava vitamin C brightening serum. It was underwhelming. I saw no effect compared to other vitamin C products. No issues, just wasn't worth the squeeze for me.

  • Nice scent. I got their stick SPF in the Sephora Sun Safety Kit 2025. It is a nice product and I love the way it glides on and doesn't leave a white cast. I also enjoy the watermelon line of products.

  • My experience with Glow Recipe has been beyond amazing. I purchased the Watermelon Toner and the Watermelon Dew Drops. I can’t do my skincare without them anymore. The toner is amazing for my sensitive and dry skin. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all. The Dew Drops are amazing under makeup and even without. My skin looks plump and glowy every day.

  • I loooove this! It makes my skin feel so moisturized and soft. My only problem is there are dupes for 1/2 the price, and you’d never know it wasn’t the “real deal”

  • Love the brand mission and being a clean brand for my daughter and me to use. The watermelon serum smells delicious and feels luxurious on the skin. I like that the packaging is refillable. I don't mind displaying the products in my washroom. My only gripe is that it is pricy. I will only purchase when this is on sale or I have a coupon.

  • I had a really great experience with glow recipe. It really makes my skin glow and hydrating. Also, I love the packaging and the aesthetic of the brand. I had a really great customer experience. Would really recommend it. 10/10

  • Their toner is the best product I have ever used in my life!

  • I am absolutely obsessed with this brand! I currently use their niacinamide drops, sunscreen, toner, sleep mask, but best of all their plum plumping cream. This cream is deeply hydrating. The majority of their products make your skin super soft. I don't break out when I use this brand !
