I love my Function of Honey shampoo/condition. I've been using this for about 5 years now, and anytime I switch out or run out, my hair is horrible. I love that I can customize the goals, and scent...pear all the way. I had to recently stop do to personal reasons, but I miss this so much. I will be back to this VERY soon. I recommend!! I've also used, leave in conditioner, hair mask, and the face cream...all great products

Really loved the personalization. As someone that always forgets to buy shampoo and conditioner, the membership made it a lot easier. Since you make your own formula it was easy to love the smell of what they created. Didn’t see much of a change in my hair but I wasn’t really expecting to.

I liked that I could customize the strength of the scent and choose a color (I’m allergic to certain dyes). I like that I can choose not to get a new pump each order. The product is better than drug store, but about the same as high end professional.

I was an early adopter of this brand after some sample testing.

I have used the online subscription and in-store versions of Function of Beauty. I enjoy the way it makes my hair pook amd feel! I love all of the customization options online, especially your choice of fragrance! I have also purchased the product at Target where you can pick specific add-ins foe your hair needs. I think they are just as good! You just don't have all the fragrance selections for the in-store products. It is also quite fun to add the pods of add-ins to the main product!

I like the shampoo and the "add-ins" that are available. the shampoo is pretty expensive and doesn't come with a lot. it made my hair feel pretty nice and it worked pretty well.

I ordered the personalised set for shampoo, conditioner and leave-in. It was pretty (the swirly colours I chose for the visual aesthetic in the bottle) and it was fun to customise it with the stickers provided/having my name printed on the bottle - but that was it for me. In terms of the product and what the brand claims that it does (eg. hydrate hair when selecting the ‘hydration’ option for customising the product to suit you), I found absolutely no improvement in my hair quality in all three products, with continuous use over a many months period. There was no difference in the product texture compared to any other shampoo/conditioner/leave-in. Looking back I wonder if having added colours and scents to the product is even a good choice - as I’ve heard these types of artificial additives aren’t good for hair health (or skin health for that matter).

I liked the customizability (color, scent, etc) but the product felt very generic. At the time I was transitioning from straight-perming to letting my natural hair grow, and it did literally nothing for either hair type. I've seen wavy haired girls do ads for it, and even in the sponsored clips you can tell that it did nothing to reduce frizz or promote their hair texture.

These products were just okay for me. They smelled really nice and I like the packaging but I didn't notice a significant change in my hair.

Was hoping to make this a staple product in my life, but my curly thin hair did not like it. It mostly just left it feeling greasy the next day and there was a bit more fallout then usual. Tried to re-customize it but had the same results.

Tried this product and felt it was very expensive for subpar results, liked the results less than the generic products I was using before. Cool idea though.

a good solution in a pinch but I have since found hair care products that I like more- I do not love the wavy hair mousse for my wavy hair but the shampoo and conditioner were fine, have not bought since the rebrand/packaging change though

I signed up for a $5 trial. While I have sensitive skin and a sensitive scalp, this is the first time a shampoo/conditioner has ever actually made my scalp 'burn' - I reached out to customer service, and they got back to me very quickly with an apology, full refund, advice to immediately cease use, and a complete and total breakdown of my formula to go over with my dermatologist so as to track down my exact allergy. Given the experience, I can't really recommend them, but it's also not as though it could have been predicted, and the customer service in response was as excellent as I could have expected.

This shampoo is not great and your money is better spent elsewhere. The customization is a nice feature but the shampoo and conditioner are ineffective. The products don’t really do what they say despite the customization and there’s no significant improvement to hair.

Tried the moisture shot hydrating and was not impressed at all. This product is overrated. Unfortunately this product did not noticeably improve my hair and the high price didn't seem justified.

Function of beauty really listens to your hair needs! You can customize what you want in your personalized shampoo bottle, making it fun but also getting the right custom shampoo thats right for your hair!

I used it before and was not a big fun of the product. I really want to love the products but didn’t work for me

This is pretty decent. I might have given an inaccurate description of my hair type so maybe that's why it just felt like an average shampoo/conditioner.
