Fly by Jing delivers bold, versatile Sichuan-inspired condiments that, according to reviews, elevate everything from eggs and noodles to dumplings—Zhong Sauce and the OG Sichuan Chili Crisp draw repeated praise for layered umami, balanced heat, and everyday usability. Reviews also flag notable drawbacks: some find the chili crisp too oily, less crispy or milder than expected, with occasional smoky bitterness and jar leakage—plus comparisons to Lao Gan Ma or Momofuku on flavor and spice—and some mention inconsistent crunch and a need to stir.

These sauces upgrade any dish to bring out umami flavors & add a kick. Highly would recommend adding to dumplings & wontons.
I really enjoy the Mala spice mix. The taste is great on a lot of things including popcorn and veggies

It’s a little expensive, but understandable considering the quality of ingredients
Got this as a gift and have bought it continuously ever since. Nice spice without being too overpowering, I add it to scrambled eggs, white rice, or marinades.

It does get oily on the outside
Female Asian owned and led company? Sign me up. Also their products are amazing. Chili oil goes on everything. The other sundries are amazing too. The frozen dumplings... just yes.
I bought a variety pack with all 3 of their products. The sichuan sauce has way too much sichuan. I don’t enjoy the numbing. I can’t actually taste the sauce bc the sichuan is very overpowering. The zhong sauce is pretty tasty. Reminds me of hoisen sauce. A little sweetness. The third product is a powder/seasoning. I haven’t used it. They now sell this at Costco but it’s a little expensive for sauce.

Make a chili sauce without the sichuan

Really like their chili crisp, love the zhong sauce even more. We're big soup dumpling fans so we ordered them as well. Nothing frozen will come close to the real soup dumplings, but they make good snacks or small meals and pair well with their sauces. They're often out of stock so they must be popular! Will definitely be trying their other products soon.

Better pricing and faster shipping!
The Sichuan Chili Crisp is a kitchen staple! Put it on everything! Love that this brand has made non-Chinese people appreciate the complexity & versatility of Chinese flavors & ingredients.

Everything gets a little drippy & messy - not sure how to solve for that!
Like everyone else, I LOVE the chili crisp. It is one of like three very similar products I keep on hand - along with Lao Gan Ma and S&B — and I swear all 3 do something slightly different. The fermented beans in this one give it an earthier taste and it's less sweet than the other two, plus there's more variation in texture.

Something is not quite right about the glass jar itself and it feels like the bottom leaks slightly? I put it on a coaster in my fridge because otherwise it leaves a small amount of chili oil on the shelf. it could have just been the one I got, but a few friends have had the same experience.
The chili crisp is so good. I'm a spice wimp so I use a little bit, and it's perfect. Especially yum in my homemade dumpling sauce :D

Wish they sold larger sizes.
Have tried their original chili crisp and it's delightful. Great on just about anything. I've also met the founder and she's awesome - being a woman-owned company is the cherry on top! Worth a try as a new kitchen staple.
Nice flavor from Asia and adapted to Amercian's budtaste

Personally purchased; used 6+ mo I really enjoy their chilli crisp sauces in a variety of ways - w/ asian food, on fried eggs, vanilla ice cream, dumplings, etc. These are highly versatile and have a complex flavor that doesn't boil down to simply "crunchy pepper". If you are a traditionalist, you may be annoyed, but overall this doesn't stray so far from what essentially a chilli crunch oil/topping should be that you can't offer it to a first-gen immigrant who grew up with the godfather(mother?) of chilli oils. (If you had to ask who the godmother is, it's lao gan ma and you should never talk to me or my son again.)
I tried Sichuan Chili Crisp and I truly enjoyed the flavor! It was nice to decide how much heat I wanted to add because I am not one for a lot of spice, but a little and some flavor is right up my alley! It was a bit oily, but that was the only thing I didn’t love and wasn’t a deal breaker.

This should be a staple in every kitchen! Superior ingredients and smashing packaging. Can’t wait to try all of their varieties.
What I love about these products is that they are so authentic to the founders culture and life yet still Innovative and modern for every day. The chili crisp is one of the most robust and flavor that I have tried I personally prefer the zhong sauce which I think is very slept on and also enjoy the mala spice mix for anything from proteins to salads to popcorn. The uniqueness of the products from packaging and flavors also make for a great gift

Love their original chili oil. I add it to everything for a kick from eggs, to ramen, to tacos, and chicken wings. I just tried the new peanut crunch one and was not a fan of that. Would have been fine if they crushed the peanuts instead of leaving them whole. I will stick to the original.
bought at my local grocer on a whim. It can be put on ANYTHING. It made the most amazing wings!
I love the sweetness of the Zhong sauce combined with the spice. It tastes great with gyoza and other Asian foods. I wish it were a little less expensive however.
It is a little sweet and not spicy enough. I bought sichua chili crisp and didn’t taste any of the sichua flavor. This product is more expensive than other chili crisp on the market.
