  • I have been using Experiment beauty for three years and have been loving all the new product releases. The super saturated serum and the molecular mesh moisturizer are a part of my daily skincare. They both work great to keep my skin hydrated and are sensitive skin friendly.

  • I have looked at this range for years but only pulled the trigger after seeing it on Thingdrop. First off i have to say the packaging is fantastic. Buffer Jelly: I had a slugging product from another brand and i absolutely hated it, may as well have been vaseline. So this being a thinner slugging oil interested me. It does take some time to absorb into the skin but at least it does and doesn't just sit on the skin and oil up your pillow case.. Moisturiser: I normally use Dieux Instant Angel, this is similar in some ways as it feels moisturising but is probably a bit lighter and not as silky or rich. I will be using this on more in the day time. I do appreciate the metal tube as well. Lip Balm: Time will tell. So far feels like a pretty standard hydrating lip balm. Tube seems rather small. Hydrating Serum: The serum is super tacky which i wasn't expecting. Reminds me abit of the snail mucin products i have tried from other brands before. Have to use for longer to really see if it overtakes my prequel hydrating serum or not. Overall i think its a nice range, probably more suited to younger skin than mine but i think for the pricepoint its a good option

  • I think the properties of the line might be a bit too heavy for my skin type (reactive, combo). Slugging of any sort usually makes me break out so that’s on me, but I noticed a few whiteheads after using the serum. The lip balm is nice and smooth with a non tacky finish, and I like it, but the tube is really tiny! I think this brand would be better suited for dry skin, as well as a great gift for my niece and younger family members.

  • I've been using Experiment's Super Saturated Barrier Support Serum and it's quickly become a staple. Two pumps are enough for my face and neck, and I like applying it right after a shower. It leaves my skin hydrated without feeling greasy or tight—just a clean, comfortable finish. I don’t feel the need to add extra moisturizer, which is ideal when I’m still warm from a workout. I also tried the Softwear lip treatment. It’s hydrating and does the job, though it’s a bit sticky for my taste. Overall, thoughtful formulas that work well for daily use.

  • Softwear is my holy grail lip balm. The tube is smaller than most squeezie lip balms, but I would easily pay $30 even for this smaller tube, it is that good. Molecular Mesh is my current favorite heavier face cream, and I don't have any inclination to go looking for another. If you aren't used to using metal squeeze tubes, you will probably want to add the tube squeezie to your cart and watch a tutorial on using them. I recommend against travelling with aluminum tubes. You can decant into a travel container, or keep the original box and put your tube back in there if you have to take it anywhere. Avant Guard is THE face mask. There is no reason to use single-use sheet masks when this is used with a favorite serum. Super Satty, as it is lovingly referred to online, is a great place to start. I love that they offer refills. This was my favorite serum, but I recently learned I am allergic to it, and I am heartbroken.

  • I have tried nearly every product in this brand and they truly do not miss. It is a one of a kind brand that makes one of a kind products. Truly incredible formulations of their products. 10 out of 10 recommend.

  • Overall, l love Experiment. I love their products, the branding, and their commitment to science and not promoting deceptive consumer marketing terms like "clean" or "free from". The products are fantastic, efficacious, and super affordable. Softwear is a really innovative lip product that feels great on and the results are great. Super Saturated hydrates my very dry skin like nothing else, it's a little tacky to apply but feels great on the skin and doesn't stay feeling tacky once moisturizer is applied. It works well under many different moisturizers, but the combo of SS and Molecular Mesh is particularly nice - feels so hydrating but lightweight. Molecular Mesh is a fabulous moisturizer, really soothing and feels nice and light to apply, dries down pretty quickly and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I'll continue to purchase and have these as staples in my routine!

  • I love an indie skincare line and wanted to love their Super Saturated product but unfortunately it felt too heavy and too sticky on my face. I never reached for it and preferred my lighter serums that soaked into my skin more quickly. I love their packaging and think they still have a unique product line so I might try something different from their offerings in the future.

  • I've only been using the barrier support serum for a few days and so far I like it. I thought it would be a miracle product (my bad lol marketing) due to the heavy talk about the scientific approach to the formulation. I'm sure it's doing good for my skin and it does help to lock in some moisture but I'm not totally sure it's a re-purchase just yet. However, I do like it!

  • I’ve repurchased super saturated at least five times now. It will always have a place in my routine. I like it more during humid times. It can be a little sticky, but it’s nothing a little misting can’t solve

  • Initially, based solely on the look, I was expecting something cheesy and tacky. Turned out I was wrong; the serum blended beautifully into the skin, especially after applying the moisturizer. The pump is dispensing the perfect amount, so ergonomics are nice and also saving money for long-term use! The only thing I didn't like much was how the cap is constantly disconnecting from the bottle. Not a big con, but kinda annoying. Approved!

  • The super-saturated serum has become a staple in my nighttime routine. It's incredibly moisturizing, and it hydrates my dry skin. It's great to use with tretinoin and has decreased my skin's flakiness.

  • Pleasantly surprised I wasn’t expecting much when I bought this using a Thingtesting discount, but after trying the regiment for a few weeks, I can confidently say that their products will permanently be in my skincare routine. I’ve originally heard about their silicon face mask, so I bought that, the serum, the moisturizer, and the oil. The face mask is a smart idea and pretty good, but doesn’t fit my face very well. I appreciate their commitments to sustainable living. I have really dry skin, and every winter it’s an uphill battle. But so far this year, my skin has been REALLY happy. I’d pretty much lost hope in all moisturizers but this one actually did something for me. In the permanent rotation for sure Also it’s super interesting that they develop their own formulas (not purchased from a beauty conglomerate) the barrier serum is a great case study for other brands on how being honest about how your product works/is will allow people to adjust their expectations and not be upset or caught off guard.

  • I was turned onto Experiment years ago back with OG Thingtesting during a ThingDrop when I first grabbed some for my wife. Since then this brand has remained a staple in our medicine cabinets and skincare routines. It is a testament to quality and efficacy as my wife loves to try new brands but usually defaults back to her staples, but these guys have stood the test of time in our household and become part of the staples. The software and the saturated barriers have been used and re-purchased a dozen times and the sheet mask and re-useable sheet mask holder are just brilliant. If you are on the fence give the brand a try, but from personal experience be prepared to make this a recurring member of your skincare team.

  • The skincare products are just fine. It’s the lip balm that sends the brand to the stratosphere for me. The texture is ideal, I get all day hydration, there’s no scent. If I was Oprah, it would be in my favorite things box every single year.

  • My bathroom shelf is for real becoming an Experiment stronghold. I've tried Super Satty, Plasma Wash, and Softwear and have loved ALL of them. I've also tried the reusable mask and unfortunately, that one is not for me, even though I wanted it to be! I've used Super Satty for maybe two years now and absolutely love that product. It keeps my skin so hydrated and juicy. I recently tried the Plasma Wash cleanser because it felt like my old cleanser kept making my skin super dry and I'm now a convert. I love that way it feels on my skin and I love that it's a glycerin-depositing cleanser. Softwear is also one of my fav lippies. I've noticed with Softwear that when my lips are REALLY dry, I have to reach for something else. But it's a *great* everyday lip treatment. Next up, I really want to try their Molecular Mesh. I'm sure I will love it just like I love all the rest of their products. Experiment stan for life.

  • I LOVE THIS SERUM. It is by far the most hydrating serum on the market. I use it morning and night: it layers beautifully under other products or makeup. I like that it has no smell and it is gentle on sensitive skin. It is one of those products that I think everyone would benefit from using.

  • The avant guard sheet mask is so fun! The ear loops make the mask so comfortable to wear and I love that it's reusable. I've only used it with the Experiment Super Saturated serum so far, which leaves my face so smooth and hydrated, but I'm excited to test out some other serums! Also, can we talk about how much of a standout the Softwear lip balm is! It's the best texture, thick but not sticky and it feels incredibly effective compared to other popular lip balms on the market!

  • I recently tried Super Saturated based on a review/recommendation on Tiktok from a cosmetic chemist (@alexeducatedmess) and I LOVE it. I have sensitive/combo skin with eczema and suffer from dryness in the winter especially. I am kicking myself for not stocking up on a sale they had recently but am hoping they have one during black friday! I plan on just getting refills so I can continue to use the bottle I have already (I'm almost out!) - I love that they have a refill purchase system! (with a slight discount) update 8/21/25: I have been through literal multiple bottles of super saturated (I have it on subscription lol) and tried the new moisturizer barrier cream on launch and am already on my second tube! I love Experiment's efforts to be sustainable as well. I truly squeeze every last drop out of my products haha. I also love Softwear but wish it was a little bigger!

  • Enjoying this brand a lot. Got one of almost everything thanks to a black friday sale. The mask is so cool and innovative. Super Saturated is nice and feels like it is working - I use at night, I think it might be a weird texture during the day. The real winner is softwear. I hope they come out with tinted versions in the future, but love the current scent free/tint free as a good basic lip balm. Love the fact they are science focused and coming out with truly innovative products!
