Marley's Monsters is based in my hometown, and it's been on my "must-visit" list when I'm home for years. Their storefront has all their products, plus a range of eco-friendly goods. Most of my products are from their seconds sales (items with imperfections), but I've had no quality issues due to buying seconds. When considering buying Marley's Monsters products, it's important to ask yourself if you will like the user experience of whatever product you're buying. I like some of their products more than others, and I even disagree with my mom on some! I love the facial rounds, but my mom doesn't -- they aren't very fluffy, and didn't work well with her preferred makeup remover. My mom loves the washable sponges, but I am unconvinced that any type of sponge is very sanitary, so I stick with Swedish dishcloths (which I also buy here). Finally, I don't enjoy their napkins, since I prefer linen to flannel, so I use the ones I have as regular towels. My favorite product is the baby wipes. I use them with a bidet, though they also sell Toilet UNpaper, which roll around an empty toilet paper tube and fits on a toilet paper holder. I'll also use them as hankies in a pinch, if my smaller set are all in the laundry. My set of 40 cloth wipes is still in great condition after 4+ years. I don't find this unsanitary, since I am the only one using them, I only use them for #1, and I use them with a bidet. I also use and enjoy, but probably won't repurchase, the glass spray bottles and the bamboo washcloths. The spray bottles don't make sense for me to repurchase on vacation. The washcloths roll up on the sides. This isn't a problem for use, but it makes them take forever to dry. They come out still wet from a high-heat dryer cycle.

I purchased these because of the BOGO deal from Thingtesting. I wasn't able to redeem that deal, though, because self-checkout at Whole Foods was malfunctioning and wouldn't give me a receipt. I'm not disappointed I missed out on that deal, though, since I am stoked about the product. I bought Blue Oyster and Lion's Mane. Both were delicious, and I could use the entire pack without cutting off any bad bits. These Lion's Mane are the best I've ever found in a grocery store; the only comparable ones have been from farmer's markets. I personally love the no-dirt policy, so I can trust that I don't ever need to wash them before cooking. As others have mentioned, you might be able to find similar quality in some varieties for less money at other specialty grocers. I rarely go to specialty grocers, though, so I will continue to purchase these with my regular grocery shopping.

I was a loyal pact customer for years. I’ve tried multiple items, but always came back for their underwear. There has always been fit inconsistencies across styles for me (even when size charts were the same). However, the reason I am no longer a fan is the construction quality is now incredibly poor. In fact, I expect better quality control with stitching from brands like H&M. I have underwear from 5 years ago that are still holding up. I’ve had to resew the elastic on all 10 pairs I bought last year — most of them straight out of the box or after the first wash. No matter how a clothing item is made, it can’t be sustainable if it doesn’t last. It’s not even a sustainable business model to cut corners as they have, since they’re losing customers.

This is my favorite store bought hummus. It’s smooth, rich, and every flavor I’ve tried has been incredible. I just wish I could get bigger containers!

I wanted to love Summer Fridays. I’ve tried 4 products from them, and none worked for me. While the products do smell great, are too many scent ingredients for my skin. Besides the scent not working for me, I think the products are more expensive than they warrant. For example, a gel cream I love is the niacinamide gel cream from Naturium. Summer Friday’s gel cream is not as good, comes in similar packaging, and costs 2x more.

I’ve had a subscription to their premium bamboo toilet paper for 4+ years. I adore the toilet paper, almost as much as those “spokesbears” for that other toilet paper company. Guests ask me where I get my cute toilet paper, and I’ve given rolls as a gift before friends go on camping or road trips. The only person who hasn’t liked it was my dad, who said it wasn’t fluffy enough.

I would like to be able to purchase rolls without individual wrapping. However, this is a law, so Who Gives A Crap is making the best of it with adorable packaging.
