Essie delivers salon-worthy color and generally long-lasting wear, according to reviews that praise its vast shade range (from Ballet Slippers and Fiji to Wicked), smooth application, and strong gel-alternative Gel Couture line. Reviews also flag thinner or sheer formulas that need 2–3 coats, occasional chipping and brush size issues, and mixed experiences with the quick-dry and Expressie brushes—making Essie a reliable classic with standout colors but variable opacity and durability.

I decided to go back to normal polish and stop using gel because it is so damaging. I got the quick dry Essie polish. It does dry quickly, but the polish texture is not very smooth and looks textured on my nail. The brush quality is also sub par and is bent to one side. Will try another brand next!

Essie has been my go to nail polish for years. I love the colors that are offered. My favorite being of corset. I love how easily the polish glides and the 2 step system. I have yet to find another brand that beats this quality due the price point.

This nail polish is a stunning blue, almost navy blue shade that adds a touch of boldness to your nails. I like that it’s very quick to dry because I hate having to fan my hands or wait a long time for my nails to dry. The texture is very smooth and it dries down evenly without creating any bubbles or ridges. I think that the highlight of this polish is the applicator since the brush is uniquely shaped so you can use it with both hands comfortably. I always end up with a mess left hand mani but this brush actually helps you apply polish without the hassle with both hands! I can’t complain about anything!

I’ve tried my fair share of nailpolishes and, even though I try and go for the cheaper options here and there, whenever I go back to Essie, I can immediately feel the difference. Great color selection, great application.

I have been using this nail polish for many years now and its really good! Paired with a clear coat, the polish lasts a good amount of time on nails and there are so many cute color options! I think it is a bit pricey but its a trusted brand.

I love the colors that Essie makes available for a drugstore price! They have fun, trendy colors available for all seasons. I especially love their options for healing nails that were damaged due to UV.

The Essie brand is the go to for nail polish. It’s been around for years and has an amazing assortment of colors to choose from. I love Ballet Slippers and Fiji such staple colors for summer time.

Essie was always a coveted brand for me as a teen and now I have a collection. Basically any color that’s ever trending you will find the perfect shade in Essie somewhere. I love how many reds they have because they’re not all created equal. They also have so many great products for nail care and nail health.

I have had many varnishes from Essie. I like their selection of natural tones and nude varnishes but also darker tones which have good colour pay off. Some of the pastel ones go a bit patchy but that goes for most pastel tones varnishes of many brands.

Essie is a nice polish that lasts a several days to a week. The best part of Essie, besides being vegan, are all of the amazing colors they offer. I've received many compliments when using their royal blue polish.
I love the Essie colors more than any other brand out there right now, but feel that the don't last as long as some of their competitors. The base coat by Essie is my favorite though for strengthening my nails.
I think they always have such fun colors! Good quality though I do find if the color is sheer, it's a huge pain to apply in combination with their thinner brush. Feels like a lotta work to do a few layers.
As a teenager and kid I would use these polishes at the nail salon. As an adult I found other options that use less chemicals and tend not to chip as much.
You really can't get more classic and tried and true than Essie for nail polish. The brand's story of the founder creating shades in her kitchen sink is sweet and rooted still in the brand's core mission. The availability of the product is unmatched in the marketplace as well—I've ordered bottles from Amazon and picked them up in person at Target and CVS. Their range is also vast in regards to colors and before and after care. The applicator is simple and doesn't need to be optimized. While the bottle is a bit petite, the product lasts a while. I find that the formula is a little thin/liquidy and it takes about 2-3 coats to get that opaque look. Those aspects don't bother me and I find that to be true for other brands too. I believe the brand has also remained unproblematic in terms of leadership, staff treatment, and chemical make up. I'll continue to be loyal.
I love the fast dry twisted essie, Gel Couture. I think the color lasts, doesn't chip and it doesn't smudge because of the quick dry. My only complaint is that they don't have the same names as the corresponding color in regular dry, which makes it frustrating to do a mani in quick dry and a pedi in regular polish.
Love the range of colors and quality of polish!

Favorite nail polish brand hands down. Essie offers the best range and color option for nail polish. They crush the colors offered and my nails look like I just hit the salon every time I paint them at home.
I feel like for the price they're not that good, they work and have good color with easy use and good formula, but they're nothing special and they do not stay on that long.

Beautiful colors. 4 stars because I find the applicator a bit difficult, but the applicator of the Essie longer wish is easier to manage because of the twisted grip.
Never paid full price … I usually get them on sale… fun colors, still prefer OPI
