David reviews suggest that the brand is generally well-received, with many praising its high protein content and enjoyable flavors, suggesting that David is good for those looking for a protein-rich snack. Strengths include its soft texture and zero sugar, making it appealing to health-conscious consumers. However, some reviews point out weaknesses like a synthetic aftertaste and high price. This balanced feedback can help potential buyers weigh the pros and cons before purchasing.

Unfortunately, not for me. People really seem to love them, and I understand why when it comes to calories and protein content, but I think the double fudge brownie tasted like nothing, and the same for the salted peanut butter. Maybe I tried the wrong flavors? I personally want my protein bars to taste yummy, too.

Love these bars! They taste great, have lots of protein, and are not artificial (although the new recipe has the artificial stuff) I still support the high protein of the bars. I mean 30 grams is hard to beat!

After seeing this all over Tiktok, I finally found it at Central Market and decided to give it a try. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor and thought it tasted good. I still think there's no way it's all 28g of protein are from complete proteins, it's most likely from collagen which makes this kind of misleading. It's really expensive and I'm not a protein bar person anymore so won't be buying again, but it was fun to try.

just tried the blueberry pie and will come back and share my review of the other flavors as I try them! (I got the variety pack box from tiktok shop) I initially got it because it was crazy the amount of protein it had - but I realized it was whey protein which I am sensitive to (so unfortunate!) because I actually really liked it! the flavor was pretty good and it has kept me full for a long time, I'm actually surprised it delivered on most of what it said it would. i will just have to space out how much I eat during the week. can't wait to try the chocolatey flavors! the blueberry pie is really great - its not as fruity as one might think but the texture is really fun - I really don't like it when protein bars are a straight up...sticky bar lol - this one had crispy pieces in it. edit: the cake batter one is not my fave... i cannot finish the whole bar. It really is a bit expensive for a protein bar though which is why I bought it with a tiktok shop discount. i love the branding and the packaging. so I get it.

I try out my fair share of protein bars, as I love trying new snacks. I can never turn down something cookie dough flavored so I wanted to give it a try! I also gafe a double fudge brownie one to my father. He has Celiac Disease so I am always happy to find something gluten free for him. Sadly, neither of us liked these bars at all. Not only that but these bars are quite pricy, so I definitely won’t be trying them again.

Love the macros, especially the protein. Slick packaging with a solid variety of flavors. Only downside is the price point, so I treat these as more of a literal treat than a daily snack as I do with other protein bars you can buy in bulk.

I’m a little obsessed with these protein bars! With 28 grams of protein, they pack a serious punch—much more than my current favorite. The texture is soft and not at all waxy. It is full of crispy bits and brownie bites! Yes, bites of brownie in it. And did I mention it has ZERO sugar? There’s a slight hint of stevia, but it’s not off-putting at all. Finding sugar-free and gluten-free options that taste good is nearly impossible, but David has managed to make it delicious. I can’t wait to try the other flavors!

I tried this new protein bar from the founder of RxBar that launched a couple of months ago. It has 28g of protein, and I was full for hours after eating one, so I can confirm the macros are there. Most of the flavors in the sampler pack were way too sweet for me, but that's true for almost any protein bar, in my case. The brownie and chocolate chip were my favorite flavors. The biggest improvement from any other protein bar I've had is the texture. plus the packaging design is just a fresh breath of air in the protein bar aisle (i know lol but I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't point that out as a reason for why I'm suddenly into protein bars.... :D). I would buy it again; I would just try to opt for the least sweet flavor.

Tried the sample pack, and it's definitely a pricey protein bar. However, it tastes a lot better than the usual ones, compared to the Kirkland brand protein bar where you can taste the chalk-like protein, David's is way better. You really get what you pay for. The flavors are ok. The brownie and chocolate chip were the best one, the cake batter tasted too artificial and haven't tried the blueberry.

Tried the variety 4-pack. It's an above average protein bar. It seems like every protein bar I've tried has some major flaw in some way: bad taste, weird texture, full of sugar or sodium, etc. David bars still have some of these flaws (especially with flavor and a synthetic aftertaste), but they're not as pronounced as their competitors. Not sure I'll be buying more in the future, since I prefer to get protein through drinks.

The birthday cake and blueberry flavor are the best tasting out of the current line up. I like the texture, it's soft but there are little crunchy bits which add texture. I don't have any stomach issues eating these and if you can find a sale on them, they're reasonably priced considering the macros. I've purchased multiple times already.

This was so disgusting. I hope this brand doesn't blow up but I'm sure it will with the help of social media. Truly just so, so disgusting. I would rather take a dry spoonful of protein powder.

Texture and taste are pretty great for the cals and protein! Favorite flavor was cookie dough, all flavors had a light texture with little pops in them.

These taste nasty

I was excited to try the sampler, but like most protein bars, I found myself searching for one that doesn’t taste like a protein bar. If taste isn’t a priority, the protein content is solid, macros are good, but overall, it tasted pretty average.

Surprisingly great flavor and texture. My favorites are the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the Cake Batter. The texture is soft and moist, very pleasant - no chalkiness or dryness like many other protein bars. You can slightly taste the artificial sweetener but it's not strong at all and doesn't detract from the flavor. The macros are INCREDIBLE. I love that it's gluten free. Highly recommend, this is kind of a life changing product.

I love the taste of the double fudge brownie and it’s packed with protein. I was never a fan of protein bars until my Internist recommended David bars. It’s fills me up and after eating one I lose the desire to consume unhealthy sweets. Also, NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS!! I no longer binge on sugar.

I am a sucker for good branding (and the Garamond font family) and a brilliant email marketing campaign (s/o Thingtesting for “What is Michelangelo’s David’s body fat percentage?” - instant click for me - the answer is 5-8% for the curious). David delivered on both fronts and, just like the biblical David, packed a punch despite its small size. Bonus points for speedy delivery service. *blueberry pie - I’ve never had a protein bar with this kind of flavor before! Jammy is the right word to describe it. I enjoyed it a lot, although the whey protein taste/texture is there. This doesn’t bother me, but I know it can be iffy for some folks. *double fudge brownie - didn’t get a strong chocolate brownie flavor from this, it’s more along the lines of eating a spoonful of chewy cocoa powder. I would describe it as a light, sweet, and almost fluffy flavor. Not bad! *cake batter - yum! Loved this one, it really does taste like raw cake batter, what could be better? I think the whey protein taste/texture blends perfectly into this bar. *cookie dough - really enjoyed this one! It does taste like cookie dough. Great bar. I would consider these a little pricey for a protein bar, and the flavor is not consistently amazing. They get a little sweaty if not kept at a low temp or in the fridge. These things don’t really bother me because a protein bar is a protein bar, but I appreciate that this one has great branding and solid ingredients.

I purchased the sample pack after seeing David advertised on Thingtesting. I have tried 2/4 flavors. Emphasis on "tried," as I haven't made it through an entire serving yet. There is a limit to how much protein you can jam into a protein bar without making it borderline inedible, both taste-wise and texturally. The limit is probably ~20g. This bar has 28g. Nope.

Blueberry is my favorite, delicious and healthy. Just ordered 3 boxes to keep in the freezer. I love everything about this protein bar!! I will be a customer for life.
