Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

This pasta is absolutely delicious! I'm loving the texture, and the best part is it doesn't get all mushy.

I’ve only had Banza’s pasta but I’m a big fan. A note to chefs: this has a pretty strong flavor so be sure to compensate in your sauce or other accompaniment so the flavor doesn’t rule the dish.

I really love their pastas! They’re a much healthier alternative to traditional pasta and taste pretty much the same. My only gripe is I feel like they don’t get super soft like traditional pasta and I have a sensitive gut so every time I eat their pasta, I get painful digestion cramps :( it could be a sensitivity to chickpeas though. I’d love if they made a FODMAP friendly version that was easier on the gut.
Pretty good for frozen pizza… kinda tastes like a good school lunch pizza… semi-bland but inoffensive … cauliflower crust doesn’t make me sick after eating it
I’ve almost completely substituted the pasta in my pantry for Banza. It stands up to any sauce or way of preparing pasta and tastes great!

So, here's the scoop on Banza. They make pasta, mac & cheese, rice, and pizza using chickpeas instead of regular ingredients. But honestly, chickpeas might not be the best choice for pasta. Some folks find that the pasta falls apart and gets all mushy. It just doesn't have the same taste and texture as good ol' gluten pasta or even lentil pasta. Plus, here's the kicker—it's pretty pricey and might not be worth the splurge. So, if you're looking for a gluten-free alternative, you might want to consider lentils or other options. That's the lowdown on Banza, my friends.

Absolutely incredible food from Banza. I love their pasta and pizzas. Its such a great way to get in a ton of protein and they truly have products that taste good
THE BEST!!!!!!
Banza is SO good. Their pizzas are actually my favorite, they actually taste like a real pizza and have great flavor. But their pasta and mac and cheese are great too. I love how they continue to innovate their category!

I wanted to like this brand, but I have yet to have a good experience. For me, it does not taste like pasta at all. I would rather have real pasta and add protein in elsewhere if that’s your MO!

I really wanted to like this pasta. The bite isn’t horrible but it’s not as satisfying as regular pasta. You can tell the difference. It also wasn’t horrible but I did not repurchase.
Love the branding and the mission of this brand. I wanted to love it but it is definitely not my thing. I like some of their products, their mac and cheese being my favorite. The taste is definitely good but their pasta recipe is not my favorite. It has a texture i’m not a fan of. While it might be not for me I understand why people like it.
I love this brand so much. It is the best gluten free products in my opinion. Pasta is never mushy and always delicious. I love that i get extra protein as well
So Banza all around, has been pretty consistent and good. It’s not my favorite of gluten- free or “healthy” pasta/pizza alternatives, but it’s still a solid choice for me. The pizzas are very, very good and I like that they’re a little more filling than some of the cauliflower crust pizzas I’ve tried! The pastas are the ones I feel like I haven’t mastered, but they’re still great.
Love Banza! The taste is 10/10 for me and enjoy the ingredients
I love to cook, and have a couple of friends that are gluten free. I tried the Trader Joe’s gluten free pasta and it turned into a mushy lump, and then I tried Banza, and it really held up. Good flavor and texture!

Banza is my FAVORITE gluten-free pizza crust. I love the flavor and texture of Banza crusts and often choose them over a veggie alternative. They bake well and hold up as leftovers.
I didn't love Banza pasta, but am curious about their pizzas. I thought the texture of Banza pasta was a little off, but if you can't have regular pasta, this is a good alternative.
Props for helping to make chickpea pasta a thing. I love pasta and I’ve replaced about half of wheat pasta consumption with chickpea or other alternative flour to improve my fiber intake. However, despite being an innovator, they’re not the best product in this space. Banza pasta produces a gross foam when boiled that makes you feel like you’re on a polluted beach. Barilla makes a comparably priced product that doesn’t do this and generally doesn’t get as mushy. I still love their deluxe Mac and cheez tho.
When I crave pasta on my non-cheat days, Banza is what I reach for in the pantry. Can’t go wrong!
