Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I was pleasantly surprised by the good taste and texture of chickpea pasta.

  • A friend told me about this brand when I shared that I was trying to eat more protein. I tried it and I love that the texture is like regular pasta. I’m gluten free and these were such a great find! I also really enjoy their mac and cheese. These pasta products have become a staple in our house.

  • Our little family lives Banza! We already love to eat pasta and now Banza making it with more vegetarian protein. As a no-meat family this is a win win for everyone. Recommend for pick eaters like my toddler

  • Great protein pasta! Lovely with everything.

  • Banza is good! Definitely a healthier alternative to traditional noodles. I find they take a bit longer to cook than the package says.

  • As someone who is very picky with what I buy, I think that Banza is a great choice. I buy it for the high protein content specifically. The texture is nice, be prepared for it to foam aggressively when boiled. The only downside is that it is more expensive than other options, especially when only looking for high protein.

  • I love banza! The texture and taste is amazing and I appreciate all the healthy benefits of added protein and fiber.

  • I think if you're into healthy tasting things, this is fine. I've only tried the noodles, I just don't know if Im crazy enough about the flavor and texture of chickpea vs a traditional noodle. The water gets really foamy, so you have to make sure to scoop the gunk off the top as its boiling. It does take to sauce perfectly well, I think if you really incorporate it well into a recipe it could be great, but don't rely on it to do the same heavy lifting that a standard pasta can do.

  • Banza seems like great quality, and as someone that loves pasta but must avoid gluten it is a decent option. Banza does not keep well once cooked and some of their pasta can be grainy depending on how it is cooked.

  • I like these way more than I like the other cheap brands in store

  • I was pleasantly surprised by banza’s microwave mac & cheese cups in terms of flavor and creaminess! It’s my go to lunch on a cold day when I need something quick!

  • For me it’s ok, but my family refused to eat them the second time. They became tough after reheating. Maybe it’s only my experience, but you’d better to cook only one serving at one time, no leftovers. However, It is great lalternative, high quality and good ingredients

  • Banza is great healthly alternative for pasta! So much protein and amazing clean ingredients, I love it.

  • I like it! It’s not my favorite protein pasta but it gets the job done!

  • I don’t love these. They don’t hold shape very well and the texture isn’t like real pasta. Since I am lucky and don’t have to be gluten-free as far as high protein pastas are concerned there’s other brands I like better that use wheat and bean flour together.

  • i really like this pasta when i am trying to manage my carb intake. it is a little hard and the texture is different than regular pasta. i have used in while making soup and have used it as a side dish. i think it is very tasty when seasoned right

  • After trying to find a "better for you" pasta option I found Banza. I really like the taste and honestly have not noticed the taste difference from conventional pasta. I have tried the Mac & cheese and not sure if it was the noodle or the cheese but this was not a hit for me. Not sure I will purchase that again, but I will and do purchase the noodles for any of our pasta dinner needs. Love the new healthy option of a staple dinner in our house.
