Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • This is a good brand and I feel great about feeding this to my children. The pizza is actually pretty solid and delicious for a family pizza night. The pasta takes some trial and error to cook it to an ideal texture but when done right, is a good pasta alternative for those trying to make a healthier switch. I also like the rice. The pasta and rice don't have an overwhelming chickpea taste but taste good.

I think the cooking instructions on the rice and pasta needs to be updated to better reflect ideal cooking times.

  • Obsessed with the pizza crust and pastas! This is my go-to brand for taste, texture, and nutrition

    vegan pizza please?

  • My husband is very wary of "healthy alternatives" and he now only buys banza pasta for himself. I truly cannot tell the difference between banza and regular pasta. Also, the pizza crusts are great and are much more filling than cauliflower crusts. The pizzas may seem small, but as they have more protein, they are more filling than you would expect. I love using the rice as an alternative to orzo!

Nothing, this is one of my favorite food brands!

  • I love Banza! I have tried a variety of their products and am always impressed with the quality. I have yet to try the pizza crust but I am looking forward to it! The pasta is a new-age staple, I always have some in the pantry.

  • Love their mac and cheese, but my partner doesnt like it so we usually just go for Annies. The concept is amazing though!

  • Their original/core products are top-notch in taste, texture, ingredients and health claims. As a vegetarian, the high protein works wonders for me when I don't want to toss in any other proteins/meats. The high protein content also makes it VERY filling, though some friends and family can't manage the high fiber content (I've had no issues). It's a pantry stable for me now, and an easy weeknight go-to.

Some of the pasta shapes don't hold up as well as others. The penne, rigatoni, and shells are great; the rotini, linguine and spaghetti are more fragile and break apart more easily.

  • My household is a banza household— we use banza instead of regular noodles 90% of the time over the past year. Favorite shapes are the spaghetti and the cavatappi, but they’re all great. So much more filling than pasta and I love the nutritional value.

Sometimes the ziti and rigatoni shapes break up, but it still tastes delicious.

  • Banza managed to be the first company to make their stuff with alternative products (chickpeas) and have it taste good while maintaining great texture. From pizza to rice and pasta, all are very well made and pack fantastic macros.

  • This product is good but they had a scandal on how it contains arsenic and other bad stuff so I never bought again. If they went organic I might consider again. I loved the mac and cheese but it does feel a bit heavy when you eat a whole bowl because it is chickpeas after all.

  • Saw these in the grocery store and love chickpeas. Love that I can get protein from my pasta too. What a win! It tasted pretty good and not chalky.

  • Okay, so Banza pasta is definitely my #1 pasta. I always have it stocked in my pantry because it’s literally the only pasta I reach for. It’s so versatile, and it helps me meet my protein and calorie goals, especially when I have it meal prepped for the week. I love that it’s made from chickpeas, so I’m getting extra protein with every bite, which is a total win! Whether I'm making a quick dinner or prepping for the week, Banza pasta is my go-to, and I honestly can’t imagine using anything else. If you’re looking for a healthier, high-protein pasta, you need to try this

  • Not bad, but I prefer other brands when looking for a high protein, gluten free substitute

  • Pasta that I feel good about eating. Love the added protein and that it’s made from healthy ingredients. And that it’s lower carb. A good alternative to regular pasta.

  • The taste of the products is great but the amount of glyphosate is alarming and makes me no longer want to buy this product.

  • Pretty good products - when I've made this for other people they can hardly tell this is made from something other than grains.

  • Ok so i have tummy issues, and I can’t really eat gluten, these were ok, they were not the best tasting pasta alternatives for gluten, but they were not the worst. They kind of had a slight weird after taste.

  • I try to mix up my carbs, and the more protein the better. I am not on a gluten-free diet for any reason. However, I have tried tons of gluten alternatives just to check them out. Banza doesn't hold together that well, it's dry, and kind of depressing to eat. I like that it has a little more protein than typical pasta, but not enough more to make me switch over considering my diet is not restricted. If I don't want gluten pasta, I'll stick with rice noodles or I'll make something else entirely.

  • If you are avoiding gluten or carbs these are a good choice. The textures not exactly like regular noodles, but taste good enough

  • Overall banza is a good gluten free option. My only complaint is the aftertaste of chickpea noodles. Otherwise it’s nice to have protein option
