Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

I have purchased several Banza product, primarily the pastas. I think they're a great alternative to higher carb products. This has protein and lower carbs. The pasta tastes good and closely resembles traditional pasta. It did get a bit mushy if you leave it in the water too long, cook al dente.
This alternative pasta is not good. It turns gummy when you make it.

Love these nutty and delicious, earthy noodles! They are great with a thick, robust sauce! Do they taste like wheat pasta? Nope! Still delicious? You bet! My advice, don’t go in expecting traditional pasta, and you’ll have an incredible, tasty, protein-rich meal! These help so much when I’m looking to make a comforting, balanced meal in a rush! Banda has a permanent place in my pantry!
I like using banza when making spaghetti
Excellent tasting product and worth buying again. I was satisfied with the quality and flavor, may even be better than what I normally purchase. I would definitely buy this again and will be trying the variety of flavors offered.
I love to feed this to the kiddos, they can’t tell the difference on it and I feel a little better knowing I’m giving them a healthier option.
Really wanted to love Banza, but the texture wasn’t quite my favorite. On the bright side, I do love that it's packed with protein!
I was pretty impressed with chickpea pasta. Its consistency is far superior to any rice pasta which tends to get gummy. However, I’d stick to fusilli and penne vs spaghetti if we’re talking semolina vs chickpea. The banza version got softer faster with the thinner pasta shapes.

Big fan of alternative pasta that also provides a benefit. Banza does that well with chickpeas adding more protein and fiber to your diet. I have tried multiple of their products including the Mac and cheese, rice and different pasta’s. The Mac and Cheese is now one of my favorite “pre-mixed” or few steps meals because it is simple and tasty. The rice is also one of my top rices to eat now because it always comes out just right. Not soggy, hard and the perfect taste when you follow the directions of adding a bit of salt and butter it pairs with any food perfectly.
What I learned from this is that chickpeas aren't my thing. If you love chickpeas, you're going to love this. If you don't, I don't recommend buying it, as it'll not be worth it.
I really love their chickpea pasta. It adds my protein to the meal making it more filing.

Love a high protein, gluten-free option!
I love Banza. Not only is the packaging super fun and eye-catching, the product actually tastes like pasta. I love that I'm able to get in extra protein without sacrificing flavor.
These are a great pasta alternative to give to my little one when I want to add additional protein and fiber! Easy to prepare and I am confident that I'm giving him a nutrient-dense meal. Love!
LOVE this "pasta." Our family has pasta at least once a week. With Banza chickpea pasta it makes me feel better that we are not eating over processed garbage, and are getting protein while we are indulging. My child can not even tell a difference from standard pasta. Win win!
Banza was a decent experience, but I just feel like there are better gluten free pastas out there. Chickpea pastas just have a slightly unpleasant consistency and taste, and I've found that brown rice pastas are a much better substitute for wheat noodles. I have no problem eating Banza noodles in a pinch or if it's all that is available, but they are not my first choice for a wheat substitute. I have yet to try the pizza crust, thought, and will likely add to my review in the future!
Yummy pasta and love getting more protein when I eat pasta, the flavor on its own isn’t amazing but once you add pasta sauce it’s great
Great protein pasta. I try to limit my carb intake due to my blood sugars rising then crashing after a high carb meal, so an option of high protein and lower carb is perfect. It allows me to enjoy pasta dishes without feeling terrible.
I don’t like the taste and definitely doesn’t taste like normal pasta but it’s good for people that can’t eat normal past
I have tried the chickpea pasta and I loved it. Its texture and flavor are soft and pleasant, I paired them with vegetables and they taste incredible
