Allbirds earns strong reviews for exceptional comfort, light weight, and machine-washable ease, making Tree Runners, Wool Runners, and loungers reliable everyday and travel shoes; however, many note limited support for long walks/runs, faster tread wear and toe holes, wool styles running warm and staining easily, narrow sizing without half sizes, and a polarizing, sometimes “dated” look. Overall, the brand is good for casual wear and sustainability-minded buyers, but not ideal for heavy-duty performance or those needing robust arch support and long-term durability.

Obsessed with my wool loungers, tree loungers and tree runners. Every time I buy other sneakers or walking shoes, I find my feet just gravitating back to my Allbirds. Update 3 years later: I still find them comfy but don’t love the look as much anymore! These wool wovens looked so cute but started creasing heavily within the first wear.

Wish they had more neutral colors and slightly dressier options

Overall shoes are very comfortable, however I found that the bottom of the shoe wore very fast and the shoes only lasted me a summer. I do walk 6-7 miles a day so that could be why, but with everyday hard use they will not last you that long. They are chunky looking so may not be the most stylish. I like how easily the shoes can be washed!

the bottom part of the shoe wears very fast

I have had my Allbirds Wool Dasher Mizzles in Natural Black for almost a year now. They definitely held up and are supportive. I wore mine in rainy conditions so they got a little fuzzy looking. They are wool and can be warm at times. I was hoping that they would be more breathable. They have a removable insole which is great if you need to use orthopedics. The sole on the Dashers protrude out farther than the other styles.
Feedback
My only feedback is that after time, the wool got fuzzy after being expose to weather. I have to also lint roll them because it collects dust/lint/etc.

I've owned my Wool Runner Allbirds for several years and really like them. They are deeply comfortable and easy to wear. I purchased them because I admire the mission and the efforts at sustainability. However, I recently got a small hole forming near the big toe on one of the shoes. (It should be noted that there is not a lot of wiggle room for toes, an experience shared by myself and friends with the shoes). I emailed customer service to inquire if they had a patch kit or a repair service. I was told they did not but that I could receive $30 off my next purchase. This was disappointing from a company that touts its sustainability efforts. Friends have told me the Tree-based line lasts longer, but I'm unlikely to purchase from AllBirds again.

Improved effort at increasing the longevity of the shoe. A patch kit or repair service would be amazing.

Tested the Men’s Canvas Pacers. Shoe was true to size and comfortable. I like the grip on the sole. It is a bit heavy for its size but I expect it will have more longevity as well.

My favorite sneakers, period. Now that they made them carbon-neutral, this is yet another reason to go for Allbirds. They have cute kids shoes too, my kids love the wool runners. Perfect for the fall weather

I bought AllBirds 2 years ago and wore them nearly every weekday for the first year and and mostly for errands now. What I like: easy to slip on and off, easy to clean in washer and dryer, this style seems to hide dirt and stain well What could be improved: while they are comfortable, they don’t necessarily feel like I’m walking on clouds, which is fine as I don’t usually have issues in sneakers. Additionally, the toe area started wearing through after about a year, which felt quick for a high cost shoe. Overall these have remained fairly durable, but aren’t my go to shoes for being in a clinic on my feet every day anymore. They lasted me a good year and are still around for me to wear otherwise.

Just can't say enough good things about Allbirds! These are my ride or die airport shoes (easy on, easy off) and errand running shoes. They are soooo comfortable on the feet and also are surprisingly an all season shoe....not hot in the summer, not toe freezing in the blistering cold Chicago winters. What completely sold me on the shoes was when I had a week of successful wear without blisters.....almost every shoe gives me blisters, but not these! They come in a lot of colors and are washable.....washable! High quality, comfortable, all season, and washable, it doesn't get any better than that.

When looking for shoes, I always try to find shoes that 1) work for work & play 2) are comfortable and 3) hold up well over time. The Allbirds Tree runners check all three boxes. I own them in white and wear them for work, travel, and when I'm out and about. There are few shoes that I've worn that have been as comfortable and easy to maintain. Love the brand's mission too!

- I wish they retained their form a little better. Because of the material, they seem to flatten over time. - They're more comfortable w/o socks and I wish the wool insert was easier to clean because I now wear them with w/o socks often

i own more pairs of allbirds than i’m willing to admit. i have been an early adopter of wearing wool for every day as well as workout gear. it used to be very hard to find with only 2 or 3 brands to choose from & no shoes but slippers. my first order was in late 2015, a wool runner pair for myself quickly followed by a pair for my dad as a gift. wool runners were the only model available early on. as they grew & added new models i purchased almost every one (lounger, waterproof runner mizzle, wool piper, breezers…). the ones i don’t care for are the tree skippers, breezers & wool dweller slippers. my favorites are still the wool runners as well as wool lounger.
Feedback
the ones i mentioned above not liking were mostly due to fit. tree skippers felt like i was going to step out of it even laced tightly, they also aren’t wool & i just don’t need any more regular fabric shoes. breezers, while being comfortable, front part didn’t feel like came back far enough over front of foot & was low in the back. the slippers were the biggest disappointment. i ordered small (the smallest size & according size chart matched my 6.5) & slippers felt like would fit size medium size 8. they are very comfortable but sizing runs very large. all rest shoes i luv bc are very warm even wo socks & in summer my feet don’t sweat… magic of wool. they are some of my most comfortable shoes & i rarely travel wo them. i ware lounger as house shoe/slipper. the runner mizzle was a huge happy surprise as they kept my feet completely dry running thru florida rain which is more down pour. water was splashing in from top but minimal bc has sock like top. i find most all allbirds run true to size (except slippers) & they have great return policy & cust service

I own so many pairs of these because they just feel so amazing on my feet and look great with all my outfits!

My white pair seems to get dirtier quicker than any other white shoes I own. Good thing they can go right in the washer!

I love the comfort of my AllBirds. Both the wool runners and the mesh shoes are comfy and come in rad colors. I also love the ease of cleaning — I just throw my AllBirds in the washing machine when dirty (especially the white pair) and Voila!

A few friends have noted that they needed a half size that AllBirds did not have in one of the types of shoes. It would be nice if they considered all sizes for each line.

I give the Allbirds Men's Tree Runners a solid 4 out of 5 stars for their look. While the design is nice, what really stands out for me is the comfort and eco-friendly features. The breathable and silky upper, made from eucalyptus tree fiber, is a standout, offering both comfort and a nod to environmental responsibility. The sugarcane midsole adds to the comfort, making them a joy to walk in. Plus, the recycled material laces are a great touch, aligning with the brand's commitment to sustainability. Overall, these shoes blend comfort and eco-consciousness nicely.

Love the tree loungers – they are completely worn down because they are one of my go-to shoes. I plan to get a replacement pair. I have wide, flat feet so it's often hard for me to find shoes that are comfortable right away. These require no break-in period. I also bought the tree flats hoping my sweaty feet could get away without wearing any socks, but it didn't workout as well. The flats are also much tighter (years later) than the loungers. At one point I tried on the wool sneakers but felt like they didn't provide enough ankle support.

My husband and I discovered Allbirds around 2018 and we have owned several pairs since then. We started with their classic Wool Runners and realized that we weren't wearing the correct size (but ended up wearing it out and not returning it because we loved it so much!). We then bought matching Wool Runners in our correct size (pictured) and that was a whole different experience. My everyday shoe is currently the Tree Flyers and I've been wearing it out when traveling and running errands. I love the brand's mission, sustainability practices, and high-quality products, I definitely recommend their products to everyone!

Make sure to get the correct size! I recommend buying two sizes if you're in between sizes (learn from our mistakes!). Thankfully, their return policy is great and they have stores in many metropolitan areas. For context, I have wide feet and so far, the Allbirds styles that I have liked and bought do not provide a wide version. What I usually do is I buy both sizes if I'm buying it online and/or I try both out in-store. I haven't returned anything in the past but I do know they have a 30-day return policy, no questions asked which is amazing!

One of the comfiest pairs of shoes I own - I wear them ALL.THE.TIME. I wore them in Minnesota Winter and summer in India, they truly are a year round shoe!

Hands down my favorite footwear brand. I wear them every day, whether I'm at work, traveling, or going on a trail walk. I also love that they focus on sustainability in their materials and production.

I had been suffering from excruciating plantar fasciitis for months and couldn’t find a supportive enough shoe that still looked good. And then I was targeted by Allbirds marketing years ago and immediately purchased them back when they only had one style. These shoes are incredible. I wore them almost daily 2 years, in every weather because they were so comfortable. The shoes have looked better, but are still in fairly good condition. Since then, they’ve expanded their catalog quite a bit and that quality still remains high. I’ve bought 2 more pairs (mizzles & tree runners) and I love them just as much as my very first pair. A few of my friends and family also have bought multiple pairs and their clothing because of me raving about Allbirds. Check out their gently used section for great prices on practically new shoes. Highly recommend!!

The soles begin to crease almost immediately, which I understand is inevitable, but with some color ways, it’s much more obvious. I appreciate that colors are always cycling, but a custom color option would be cool.

I wish I had bought these years ago! They are so light and comfortable, I needed the woolly ones last winter in my new but old and cold house! I have the slip On ones and the tree runners and will keep replacing them in years to come. The fact they are sustainable is obviously great too.

I have two pair of the Tree skipper that I love. Really cute with just about anything and super comfy. Easy to clean just throw them in the washer and air dry. Different styles to choose from. Definitely will buy more
