  • I loved this! I tried the Spanish Yellow Rice and it was delicious. I was impressed by the minimal ingredients, and the ease of heating it up. I opted to heat it up in a pan on the stove, and it worked very well. I thought the flavor was great. The only downside was that there were a few clumps in the rice that were difficult to break up, even though I broke up the rice in the bag as instructed before reheating. However, this did not affect the taste or experience!

  • I tried the Spanish Yellow Bone Broth Rice. It was easy to make but I could do without the plastic. I also get that the push is that there's added protein, but I would be happy with a vegetable broth option.

  • I had the opportunity to try A Dozen Cousins food product through Thingtesting. I selected the Spanish Yellow Rice and it was very good. I served it with black beans and a plant-based chicken patty. I love that this rice contains Collagen/cooked in Halal Bone Broth which releases other vitamins and nutrients (which is what their packaged product advertises) and it has 7g of protein per 1 cup serving. The flavor of this Spanish Yellow Rice is quite flavorful. I really like it and will be purchasing this rice again - as well, I look forward to trying A Dozen Cousins other food products.

  • Delicious. Easy and quick to make in the microwave, made with bone broth which provides you with collagen AND they are using avocado oil (instead of the typical sunflower seed oil that is not good for us due to overdosing us on Omega-6). BPA free packaging is another plus. This is my new staple!

  • When I am lazy to cook rice, this is the solution. Perfect size for two person's meal. It is flavorful with bone broth, with the collagen from the broth. Quick fix in microwave or stovetop so it saves time in meal prep, especially during weekday.

  • A Dozen Cousins rice cooked in bone broth was a perfect addition to my dinner. This rice is ready in 60 seconds and remained fluffy. I'm loving the nutrition facts on the packaging and the graphic design of the family members that gathered to enjoy these delicious meals. I can't wait to try the other flavors of this brand. I really enjoyed the clean and healthy taste.

  • I gave it a 1 only because I had to. I vented the package and cooked for the time recommended. The package had an expiration date of 10/2025. When I opened the package, there was an awful ammonia smell and the “yellow” rice was black! I couldn’t get it out of my house fast enough because of the awful stench! 🤢

  • I came acros A Dozen Cousins in the grocery store recently and picked up their Cuban black beans, which were flavorful without being overly salty. I bought them to use in some tacos I was making. I found they heated up easily and had a nice texture. I would try them again.

  • One of my favorite pantry staples to have on lazy dinner days. Super tasty, simple ingredients.

  • Love the beans! Super easy to make and has great flavor. Always my go to for burritos. On the other hand I am not the biggest fan of their rice. I love that they use bone broth to get some extra protein. But I have found them to be pretty dry and not very flavorful.

  • I loved this rice! I like that it’s shelf stable, mindfully crafted and especially love it’s made with bone broth! I didnt microwave it and liked the taste

  • I'm usually a rice connoisseur, so I was surprised when a microwaveable brand was semi-decent. It cooked thoroughly and had a good taste. The only thing I would've preferred is if the texture was a little bit better

  • This was okay. It had kind of an artificial taste without any real flavor. Good in a pinch I guess, but with a rice cooker you can make much more flavorful rice without spending that much more time.

  • The rice has great flavor and pairs well with a variety of dishes.

  • Ready to eat rice is not the best thing in the world but this rice is not that average either. The flavor was just off, the texture was bad. The rice smelled like rotten food to me.

  • I love anything with bone broth because it's so healthy for you. I am already enjoying their bean varieties, which I get at Walmart. I found A Dozen Cousins rice cooked in bone broth at Sprouts in the pasta section. The packages are brightly colored so they were easy to locate. I enjoyed this Spanish rice with chicken; the flavor added to the meal. Recommended!
