Good quality and affordable glasses! I buy my glasses online and the virtual try-on combined with the home try-on make it super easy for me to pick my glasses. Their pricing is also more transparent than my local optical shops which I appreciate. They also offer adjustments in store and free lens replacement if you scratch them within a year, which I haven’t had to use yet!

    The Ordinary

I’ve tried many products from The Ordinary and most of them are a hit - azelaic acid, niacinamide, NMF, granactive retinoid 2% and 5% in squalane, rosehip oil, glycolic acid, alpha arbutin, and ethylated ascorbic acid. I have repurchased the azelaic acid, niacinamide, NMF, alpha arbutin, and granactive retinoids a few times now. The Ordinary does a good job of providing skincare actives at a very affordable price point - and they are even having a month long sale in November to encourage intentional shopping! (This might be a marketing ploy but they got me!) Their squalane cleanser was a bit of a letdown; it didn’t clean as well as my other oil cleansers. I also didn’t notice much from their caffeine solution but because their skincare is so affordable, I don’t mind trying a few things that may not end up working for me.

I have tried the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream and it felt as though it just sat on my skin and didn’t absorb. The scent is also quite strong. So while this moisturizer feels luxurious, I wouldn’t recommend it for people who are actually looking to improve their skin since it is also quite pricey. The packaging is very attractive, however.

I have a KitchenAid stand mixer that has lasted me 10 years now. I have the tilt head which is not as strong as the bowl-lift but it can handle anything I throw at it as a home baker! I also have the meat grinder attachment and am looking to buy more attachments. I love that even though my mixer is 10 years old, it is still compatible with any new attachments! It really shows that they want you to use their appliances for a long time. I also have a KitchenAid food processor and stick blender - the food processor is irreplaceable and I didn’t find much use for the stick blender in the kitchen, so I repurposed it to make bar soap now!

Paula's Choice skincare is always reliable and effective. The packaging may come off "grandmotherly" to some but it's the product that counts! Their RESIST daily hydrating SPF 50 is super light, which makes it great for those new to sunscreen. Their 1% retinol really packs a punch and their azelaic acid applies very smoothly compared to The Ordinary's! Their products are a little on the pricey side but they are worth it! Plus sales are common.

I thought the cookies were just okay - a little too big and a little too sweet! Definitely did not live up to the hype, although I would recommend everyone to try at least once because maybe they could end up being your favorite cookies!

I have tried Glossier's boy brow, cloud paint, and lash slick. While the products themselves are quite good and look very cute, I would hesitate to repurchase from the brand following allegations of racism and a toxic work culture, which the brand has responded to but has not taken any actions to remediate.

Their clothes look good but are on the pricey side, although I appreciate the transparency behind their products. As for the quality, I feel it is the same as Muji - which is good, but I am expecting more from a "high-quality" brand.

For a low-sugar, low calorie drink, it was very tasty! The only thing was that it had a slight aftertaste, which is common for these types of drinks. I did not notice any calming effect from the nootropics and adaptogens but this is a great, healthy alternative for soda.

I love Muji items! I've tried their stationary, some home goods, snacks, and socks. They are a little bit more pricey than "affordable" but the aesthetic is timeless and the quality of their products is very good - even the plastic items. They will last a long time, meaning they don't need to be replaced often and will cut down on the cost. With Muji, I can tell that I am getting what I paid for!

    Feedback

There are not many Muji stores in my area and shipping is expensive, so I wish they would have more online promotions!
