I recently bought an attractive trash can for my kitchen, and I’ve had others by them, but the kitchen trash can was pretty expensive. It’s nicely made, functions more smoothly than any other one I’ve had, doesn’t put when using cleaner, and gratefully, will accommodate hefty garbage bags as opposed to having to buy the Sinplehuman brand, which is more expensive.

Since Simplehiman came on to the scene, they’ve gotten plenty of competition, but from what I’ve seen, they still stand out with their quality. It’s just now they look more expensive since there are other good brands for less.

I have their teapot which, at the time I bought it, had a permanent place on top of my stove. Why? It was gorgeous. And it was contagious… soon every serving piece I bought and house gift I gave wasnAlessi as well. Over time, I just grew tired of the look. Once it was fresh and innovative and then I guess I just got bored because it all sort of looked the same.

    Feedback

Seemed like nice quality but I was more intrigued by the look. I didn’t really use the teapot for tea.

The products are wonderful if you can forget about how much you paid for them. They work every bit as well, and perhaps even better, as the harsh chemical alternatives but smell better and I’m not afraid to have them touch my skin.

I’ll admit, much as I like the line of cleaning products, if it wasn’t for having babies around, I’d probably choose the harsh chemicals because they are cheap. That said, I think this is a quality brand.

Used to ray this all the time, although in a larger size than this. Very tasty, mild cheese and the was exterior is a lot nicer to dig into than plastic.

Although I have always loved this, I am no longer eating non-kosher cheeses which begs the question: couldn’t you use a kosher rennet eleiminating the meat component to this?

I’m kosher so this is a terrific protein option which is actually reasonably tasty. With enough condiments, it actually almost satisfies in the same way animal protein does. Still doesn’t have that same juiciness, but can offer even more than meat as it can work with dairy additions to it.

This has become a pantry staple. My biggest complain is cost. It’s kinda pricey.

I own the scale which records my weight automatically, which I both love and hate. This past year I began using injectable weight loss medication, and it helps to have a graph showing my overall success to counteract the blips of weight gain which depress me to no end. Putting everything into proper perspective has allowed me to stick to a weight loss program long term. It’s more than a scale, it’s like an impersonal weight therapist. The scale itself is a little fussy, I usually wind up seeing little arrows telling me to shift my stance to get a more accurate reading. I also get a review of the day’s weather, which is nice but sort of unnecessary.

    Feedback

The scale reflects a shift in weight loss management to a broader view which takes the focus away from the fear of picking up a pound or two on any given day. For me this have proved to be very helpful. I have been urging my 90 y/o mother-in-law to use this scale as well, as she has kidney damage and is also at risk for congestive heart failure and needs to have a second set of eyes review her weight to see if she is retaining fluid. The ability of this scale to share this information is absolutely awesome.

They are interesting and beautiful plates but after washing them they sort of absorb the water and look a little “off.”

Wish they really could be used repeatedly and keep their look.

Easy to install and so minimalist, I kept the unit in my window all through the wintertime and didn’t become aggravated every time I looked at it. Cute that I can program it from my phone but not a feature that makes much of a difference since I’m pretty close to the unit when I realize I’d prefer a different temperature setting.

    Feedback

Fairly quiet and nice looking. Pretty much, everything I need.

    KitchenAid

I bought this as a mixer but my main use for it is to mill wheat for bread with my mookmill attachment. Now I can buy wheat-betties in those huge plastic bins, which last forever so long as they’re not processed and get whole fresh tasting grains since I milk them directly into my yeast batter. What a game changer. Even better, I have larger, 7-quart sized mixer with the more powerful motor so I can make large batches of yeast dough and not worry about burning out the motor. Yes, this was expensive but I feel it’s going to last forever so a worthwhile investment. So far as everything else Kitchenaid has put it’s name on: what absolute garbage- particularly the kitchen utensils.

Wish kitchenaid would limit using their name to only the quality products they make themselves and not license it out.

Bought a number of items over time: rugs: chairs, shelf. Very clean lines and well made. Sort of west you go to when you’ve outgrown all the ikea.

    Feedback

Lasted so long, eventually my West Elm furniture was passed onto my kids when they moved out.
