Youthforia proves effective for many reviewers: its BYO color-changing blush consistently delivers a natural, dewy flush and versatile lip-cheek color, while fans praise fun, thoughtful packaging. Reviews also note weaknesses: the oil formula can feel heavy, leak, transfer, or pill for oily skin and some users report odd smells or breakouts from primers.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I've been testing out the primer from the brand Youthforia. I know them as the company that creates makeup you can sleep in, but I found other cool things about the company: - On their packaging, they claim that they "care about Down the Drain Impact." - Their products are certified USDA BioPreferred, which means that at least 25% of their ingredients that emit carbon come from renewable sources (ie. not fossil fuels). - They claim to be leaders in bio-based beauty, meaning all of their ingredients are completely plant-based — even the synthetics. - They follow the Green Chemistry principles, which outline a guide to promote greener chemicals, processes, and products. This means they are formulating with at least 90% naturally derived (instead of fossil fuels) All of these things are great and I would love to see more beauty companies follow their lead. But in terms of the products, I feel like they try to be too many things at once. You can use the primer to "slug" (to seal in your skincare and prevent moisture loss) or to keep makeup in place, but I find that the product achieves neither. I prefer a thicker ointment (like Futurewise or Aquaphor) to slug and my makeup looks patchy by midday. I tested the blush oil on my hand. It's fine for a natural makeup girlie, but this brand was created for people who want to go out all night and not wash their face when they get home in the wee hours of the morning. I'm guessing those people aren't looking to create that no makeup-makeup look when they're planning to rage. So who are these products actually for? I'm also not in support of people not washing their faces. (Not to mention, their testing can't be statistically significant just because the founder sleeps in her products and doesn't wake up with a pimple. So misleading.) So I love what this company is trying to accomplish, but I took two stars off because they're trying to do too many things and it's reflecting in the products they're putting out. Also, their products are expensive considering you're not getting the performance you expect from a conventional makeup brand. Make your products multifunctional, clean, etc., but they should be held to the same standards as conventional makeup brands in terms of performance.

This is for the BYO Blush only! I don’t wear a lot of make up and like to opt for the glazed donut look. I’ve been looking for a non-powder blush that doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, and doesn’t pill on top of my moisturizer and sunscreen. I was afraid the ‘naturally reacts to skin’ claim would only be a gimmick but it does work and it looks amazing. It’s very easy to apply, doesn’t feel heavy, and has a natural glow when used on top of my bare skin. I have not tried it over foundation because I don’t use any, but for people who want a nice glow on a no-makeup day, this would do the trick! I’ll be keeping this one in stock.
I needed a total revamp of my makeup selection and chose youthforia due to their messaging that it’s “good” for you and won’t make you breakout. I really enjoy the foundation and its minimal or buildable coverage. Definitely hasn’t made my sensitive rosacea prone skin break out which is always a plus! That said, I don’t wear it every day. I also purchased the primer, setting spray and face wash. I don’t use them all regularly but it’s nice to have when I’m getting ready for a night out. I did receive compliments from my roommate after the first time I put it on and she didn’t know I was trying new makeup!
The BYO Blush oil is pretty cool. Love the packaging, and the light, dewiness that it gives my skin. I think this product would be great for creating a natural look especially when you're in a rush, new to makeup, or find liquid blushes to be too powerful. I have dry skin and usually liquid blushes last quite awhile on me. This one feels hydrating but I did find that it faded quite quickly - by lunch time I had to reapply.
I wish I liked Youthforia more than I did, but sadly that's not the case. I gave in and got the Shark Tank bundle after I kept seeing their ads on social media. The color changing blush is cool, but in reality I find myself struggling with the oil consistency and it doesn't blend in as nicely as the rest of my makeup. As for the primer, there is an odd smell that kind of reminds me of clay or play doh. The setting spray is probably my favorite out of the bundle, but I still prefer the Urban Decay setting spray as it lasts longer for me. Overall, love the packaging and the story behind the brand, just wish the products fit my needs more.
I love the youthforia face wash. The packaging is super cute (I love the purple) and the face wash is actually effective. I have been using it everyday and I have not had any issues with it. It’s gentle and the tea leaves are starting to brew now which I think makes it a little more effective!
I love everything I've tried from this brand, but especially the blush oil. It's just so light and dewey but packs a real punch in terms of buildable color. It's my go-to when I'm looking for a natural look!
Love the gloss. Super shimmery and not too sticky! I don't have to reapply that often and it's a great soft color.
The blush oil seems really simple, but it does pack a punch and keeps my skin hydrated and glassy. I also love the primer-- it smoothes out my skin, without adding any trouble areas. It evens out my skin as well, and makes my skin feel fantastic. I love this brand! Update: I had to edit my review since Youthforia came out with foundation in measly shades, and when extending it-- they really screwed up for darker shades. It was a hot mess. I can't recommend them, which is disappointing because they are Asian owned.
The Youthforia blush oil is a staple for my everyday quick makeup routine. It brings a pop of color to my cheeks especially when they're dull in the morning after just waking up, so I look much more awake when I get on my zoom calls first thing. I love the packaging and the color changing element. It's so easy to apply, and gives my cheeks a bright pink color that I wouldn't normally reach for but I really love now.
Feedback
Sometimes the application can be quite intense, so be very mindful when applying. A little goes a very long way. I don't know if that really requires improvement, but it's good to consider.

I've only tried the blush so far but it will be my forever blush. I love how I don't have to worry about the color, since it's based on pH, and that I don't have to worry about it on my skin since its built to be slept in! Love the design, not fully in love with the magnetic packaging/organizer thingy it came with, but it's thoughtful.
The only product I have from Youthforia is the color-changing blush and while the packaging and branding are exciting and cool, I simply do not like the product. I know for a lot of people who wear nearly no makeup, this product might be great, but anything I layer under or over this blush gets ruined, doesn't stay, and starts separating on my skin.
Feedback
Not a fan of the product line, but do enjoy branding. Also feeling like the market for PH color-changing blush is extremely over-saturated.

I have bought and re-bought the Youthforia Pregame Primer, Night Off Face Wash, and Pregame Setting Spray. I have very sensitive skin with rosacea and I travel a lot. So when I learned that the philosophy of this brand was to make makeup you can sleep in, I looked them up. Even though the primer smells awful (because it's unscented), I don't mind because it leaves my skin glowing and super hydrated. The output is worth overcoming the smell lol. I also tested the BYO Blush, but I saw a tutorial on Youthforia's TikTok on how you can use it on your lips so I use it for that more than my cheeks. Last thing: have gone on so many flights between the US and Europe wearing Youthforia and no breakouts. It's amazing.
I’ve only tested our their PH liquid blush but omg I LOVE it!!!!! I have fair skin and it truly brings out the apples of my cheeks beautifully! I like to layer it sometimes under and over my foundation and then also add a powder blush after I’ve powdered my face. This truly makes the most long wearing blush combo ever!

This blush looks really lovely on and one bottle has lasted me so long. I was initially concerned with using this formula because I have oily and breakout-prone skin but it is so lightweight and you can't feel it at all. The color that it changes to is also really gorgeous.

The blush leaves a beautiful rosy glow that compliments my complexion. It looks like it’ll be too bright at first but it blends in quite nicely. Because it’s an oil base it also provides the glow of a highlighter & is very moisturizing.
Their BYO Blush is a buildable color changing blush oil that reacts to your skin’s pH to give it a unique flush look! How freaking awesome is that?! So everyone’s blush will look slightly different to match their own skin tone. It’s also made with 20 plant-based antioxidant-dense oils that provide a targeted treatment for your cheeks. OMG. She is dewy and natural! It really gives you a beautiful flushed pink color to your cheeks. Though oily skin types be warned, it’s an oil formula! My skin eventually absorbs the oils but if I layer too much, it will sit on top of my skin & the pigment will transfer. Otherwise, if your into that glowy makeup look & want something to add color to your cheeks, this is it!

Been using the foundation for a while and for a non pore clogging foundation it gives good coverage and still feels light weight.

LOVE the PH changing blush oil, it creates the most perfect shade of pink on my cheeks that I wear daily

I ordered two YouthForia products after seeing it on Shark Tank :) I love the BYO Blush--I know the instructions say to use the brush to blend, but I found that that left too much product on my cheeks for my personal taste, so I just apply with the brush, then blend with my fingers, and that works just fine. Love the color! Unfortunately, I didn't love the Pregame Primer--it does, indeed, have an odd smell and made me break out both times I used it. Nothing drastic or cystic, more of a milia-type texture. But it was enough to make me stop using it. Still willing and excited to try the Setting Spray, though.
