Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel chocolate
  • Inventive, memorable flavor lineup
  • Chunky, satisfying bar format
  • Ethical, mission-driven sourcing
  • Overly sweet chocolate profiles
  • Thick, hard-to-break pieces
  • Inconsistent caramel texture hardness
  • Limited higher-cacao dark options

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

  • Love the Carmel sea salt 32% !

  • Try the milk chocolate toffee bar, I think it’s the orange one. The best.

  • So yummy! The little bit size pieces are the perfect afternoon snack as well. High quality chocolate with really fun branding.

  • They are just so good! I buy a bar every grocery trip and have to fend off my spouse from finishing it before the week is up :)

  • Love these chocolates - they taste great, love the variety of flavours, and they look fun - making them the perfect gift for friends!

  • Literally the only chocolate bar I buy nowadays. Enough said.

  • Good chocolate, I don’t know if I would seek it out specifically unless it was for their seasonal stuff. The spring eggs are cute and tasty without being massive. They come in a colourful variety pack

  • I LOVE Tony's!!! I visited Amsterdam this summer and discovered this brand when I walked into a store while touring the city. Not only do I love their mission but their chocolate is SO tasty. My only wish is that they had more dark chocolate based flavors. :)

  • The taste of the chocolate is really good, I like that the package is colorful and attractive, I liked that it wasn't a lot sweet and it had a salty flavor behind it.

  • This brand’s chocolates are delicious and have a satisfying form. They’re extra thick bars, which I really like. Occasionally my husband and I will get one of the pretzel toffee bars and share it while watching a movie or tv together.

  • At first glance I love the aesthetic and branding of Tony's Chocolonely! I am impressed by the company's mission and the way they stick to producing slavery-free chocolate and keep it clear in their marketing. The chocolate is overall delicious. I always want the specialty flavors to have a bit more going for them since they all sound so delicious but I tend to be disappointed once I try them. I will keep buying!

  • I first tried Tony's Chocolonely because I was attracted by the packaging, I thought it was fun and unconventional for a chocolate brand. The chocolate is great, it melts in your mouth, it's delicious, and it's hard to not finish a whole bar in one bite. But what makes me rebuy this product is the additional value of being 100% slavery-free chocolate. Thanks to the brand, I found out that is almost impossible to have a completely slavery-free trade in the chocolate business, and they are the only brand born to challenge this terrible status quo for thousands of people farming chocolate beans in the world.

  • I am not a chocolate fan. Especially not for cheap stuff. Tony’s however?? You place a bar or a mixed bag in front of me and they’ll be demolished!! We love the variety of flavors, simple ingredients, and their fair trade mission.

  • Chocolate!!! Delicious and I should have bought the advent calendar when I saw it!!!

  • Best milk chocolate I've had in a long while. I love the creative flavors and bold branding.

  • the variety pack is so delicious and genuinely has something for everyone. i love the toffee pieces, and my family loves the dark chocolate!

  • These bars are huge. The chocolate is yummy and the prices are comparable to other chocolate brands
