Reviews mention

  • Natural, vegan ingredient list
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging design
  • Creative, distinctive flavor lineup
  • Included disposable wrapping papers
  • Short-lived flavor longevity
  • Odd, sticky chewing texture
  • Small, unsatisfying pellet size
  • Limited breath-freshening efficacy

Simply Gum earns polarized reviews: the brand delights fans with natural, vegan ingredients, eco-minded packaging, and inventive flavors like Ginger, Spearmint, Cinnamon, Grapefruit, and Maple, yet it frustrates many who find the flavor fleeting and the chew problematic. Reviews praise the clean formulation and included disposal papers, but cite tiny pieces, odd or sticky texture that can disintegrate or harden, and minimal breath-freshening power as persistent drawbacks.

  • The packaging is cute and the spare papers to wrap your used gum in are brilliant. However, it sticks to my teeth and I’ve stopped buying them because that’s just too annoying. It’s unfortunate, because the flavors are nice.

  • I tried a few flavors and like the mint the best. Feels and tastes better than standard/conventional gum, but it’s too sweet for me (the first ingredient is sugar).

    Sugar-free version?

  • good in concept, nice packaging, but horrible execution of actual product flavor lasts for a few seconds, and if you chew the gum for a while, it starts turning into a powdery paste

    everything about the actual product

  • I wanted to like Simple Gum... I really really did. I picked up a pack (ginger) at my local Whole Foods while checking out. I was super intrigued by the simple (!) ingredients list. Unfortunately, it was a texture thing for me. I guess it's the tree sap/chicle that's used. It skeeved me out. It was too sticky and soft. It reminded me of how 'regular' gum gets when you chew it for too long. Ugh. Literally makes me want to gag just thinking about it.

    Feedback

If you can figure out the texture thing, I'd be willing to try again. Otherwise, it will continue to be a pass for me.

  • They seem to have not quite grasp what makes gum, gum. Pleasant flavors tho!

  • This is really bad gum,I bought the ginger and the spearmint, the chew isn’t good, and the flavors disappear almost instantly.

  • I liked the fact that these are vegan and have natural flavors, but the flavors do just not last long unfortunately. The texture is off too.

  • Personally we really love this gum. It's true that the flavor doesn't last long, but the chew makes it worth it ! This is our go to health food store gum. I usually but were they were on sale or with an ibotta cash back offer.

  • Pretty packaging but that's really it. The flavor is fine if weak. I know it's just gum lol but it's forgettable.

  • Religiously use their ginger mints wherever I go. Aren’t made with harmful additives and are just a good breath refresher or even something to help with stress.

  • Tried the ginger gum, it was hard and not a lot of flavor. I am all for cleaner gum, but this did not seem to work.

  • I used to sell these in my shop in the early days. The quality and flavor was nice. I recently purchased a pack and felt it was like a different product. Brittle and bland. I am not sure I would purchase again, but I hope the quality returns because I really like the option of a truly natural gum.

  • I wanted to love this gum and I thought maybe after a few pieces I would adjust. I simply did not care for it. The flavor did not last long and for the money, it wasn't worth it

Longer lasting flavor would be an improvement

  • As a gum addict I wanted to love these but...I simply couldn't. The branding, beautiful packaging, clean ingredient list, varied flavors - it's all there, but the flavor and texture really falls flat. It is not "gummy" enough, it lacks elasticity, "bite." I understand that switching over to a healther alternatives implies sacrificing some sort of attributes, but these didn't hit the mark in any spot, in my experience.

  • I love the idea of not chewing or ingesting plastic and/or other artificial substances when I want to chew gum. I think this gum has potential but it needs a little more tweaking. It’s kind of tough to chew when you start and the flavor doesn’t last really long. If they come out with a new and improved version, I’ll be happy to try it. I do like the Simply Mints.

Texture and flavor can be better but it’s a healthier alternative to aspartame and plastic.

  • The flavors are nice, but go away pretty quickly after chewing for a couple minutes. I also didn't love how they would stick to my teeth if I chewed too long.

    Feedback

If you want a clean gum, you might give this a try. If you are looking to freshen your breath, this probably won't do the job.

  • Loved the packaging and was excited to try.

    Feedback

This gum was absolutely disgusting. The flavor was OK in the beginning, but after five seconds, all flavor was gone and it was like chewing on a rubber band.

  • The taste is simply not worth it.

    Feedback

The flavor disappears far too quickly and doesn't leave the best taste in your mouth.

  • Love the packaging but find the flavour dissipates quickly Edit: thanks for the reply Jeannie. that makes sense!
