Rhode earns largely positive reviews for gentle, hydrating staples—Glazing Milk and Barrier Restore Cream soothe sensitive, dry skin and deliver a dewy glow—while its Peptide Lip Treatment wins devoted fans for glossy, long‑lasting moisture. However, reviews also flag inconsistencies: lip formulas can turn grainy or feel sticky/artificially flavored, the Glazing/Glazing Fluid underwhelms some on hydration, certain items may clog or irritate, and packaging/applicators feel bulky or awkward.

I did not think I would be a Rhode girlie but it turns out I am a die-hard Rhode girlie. I have only tried the peptide lip balm but I am so committed to it that I set an alarm to snag the passionfruit drop and ordered as many as I could conceivably rationalize. If you're on the fence about this, try it! It does similar things to me as the Laneige lip balm-- kind of glossy, not too tacky or sticky, lasts quite a while after application.

The packaging is intended to be sustainable and shipped back to the packaging provider, but it's actually very difficult where I live to find a drop off. I'd have to walk 40 minutes and pay a few bucks to FedEx to get them to ship this box back to Rhode.... I love attempts at sustainability, but in general if it puts the onus on the customer to do the work to make a brand more sustainable, that's not really a great viable longterm attempt towards sustainability. Rhode, if you're listening, I recommend working with RePack for your packaging! They can be dropped in any UPS or USPS box instead of only at super specific locations like your packaging provider.
Waste of money!! - Order arrived after 1 month... - I purchased the barrier restore cream - the ingredients are CHEAP and not really good for your skin - My lips were scratching 2 mn after the lip balm application, i removed it it was very sticky, I must have done a reaction to one of the products inside that are not clean...
Love their lip glosses, the smell, and feel of them. Will say that the lip gloss is super super sticky. Put some on and walked my dog and had some gnats stuck, I was shocked. The tinted lip gloss look so good but they definitely do not last long. Perfect for gifts as well.
I'm obsessed. After patiently waiting for some restocks, these products did not disappoint. The Watermelon peptide lip treatment is super glossy and smells amazing. Not only does it look great on but of course it has the added benefit of it hydrating your lips. The peptide glazing fluid is really stellar. A super lightweight, milky texture that absorbs quickly and doesn't feel heavy on your skin. The dewy look holds up well throughout the day.

Bigger sizes of the glazing fluid please!
I had to see what the hype was about tbh and there really aint much. I have the glazing milk which I actually really enjoy under my makeup but I dont think its life changing. The blush color is cute but the packaging is cheaaap! I would not repurchase honestly.
I love the peptide lip treatments, they have various scents and my favorite is the espresso one.
i love the glazing milk product so much! it is gentle on the skin and doesn't have an overpowering scent.

Rhode <3 has nailed it. The Peptide Lip Treatment is always in my bag, it’s super hydrating and gives the perfect glossy finish without feeling sticky. I LOVE the caramel but salty tan.... bring her back. The whole line is simple, effective, and just makes my skin look and feel better. The face wash is awesome too but when my skin is dryer, I opt for something a little more gentle. Overall amazing!!
I have tried the Glazing Milk and the peptide lip treatment and love both. Glazing Milk in particular is a very unique skincare product and I both love the experience of using it (feels luxurious and nice to apply, love the texture and silkiness of it) and find it to be very effective at hydrating and soothing my skin. The lip treatment is also really nice but admittedly there are plenty of similar nice products available. For a celebrity brand I find that the Rhode products I’ve tried definitely compete with other modern and quality skincare lines.

I decided to give The Rhode Kit a shot because I’m a big fan of minimalist makeup and great skincare. I have extremely sensitive skin, prone to eczema and rosacea, so I usually opt not to wear foundation and focus on healthy skin instead. The problem is layering on products plus moisturizer, plus sunscreen tends to make my face too shiny. Rhode seemed like a good lightweight morning routine alternative. The packaging itself is very minimalist, which I like. I do think the container for the glazing fluid is bulky, difficult to open, and annoying to pack. Product-wise, I like all the product, but I can’t say that I’m sold on reordering it yet after 2 weeks of use. I like the ingredients, and the fact that it’s created by dermatologists, but I don’t see anything special about the glazing fluid or the moisturizer. It’s all very lightweight, so you can layer it on, but I can achieve the same effect with hyaluronic serums and Glossier’s moisturizer (which I prefer). I LOVE the peptide lip treatments though. I will repurchase these! They keep my lips moisturized for hours and aren’t too sticky when applied. I’ll use it as a base layer before applying color as well, and it feels great all day. Overall, good product, but no holy grails here. Props because all the packaging it shipped in is recyclable and reusable!

I was wanting to like this brand. Maybe it's because of all of the hate that Hailey Bieber gets. I've used all different types of skin care and I was hoping that the basic collection of the essence, serum, and lotion would be really good. After two days, I can tell that I've not been using what was working on my face. I have combo skin. Oily in my T-zone and dry on my cheeks. I did not feel that any of the products really addressed the dryness on my cheeks the way Tatcha or Tower 28 does. I'm going to be returning this set because I'm having buyer's remorse. If you know your skin, you will know whether this product works for you in the first day or two. I didn't have crazy hopes for this but reasonable ones. My face did not feel hydrated and plump after using it. It felt withered and dry, still. I'm an honest consumer. Not a hater. I'm glad I tried it to say I did and also find value in what I was already using.

Obsessed with the lip treatments. Was worried the products would be overhyped, but really love how clean and nourishing the lip treatment feels without being oily or sticky. Immediately noticed a smoothing and moisturizing effect as soon as I applied. Peptide glaze for face is ok, I like using it as a primer under makeup.
The much raved about peptide lip treatment was a little disappointing. I went with the vanilla. The flavor is super artificial tasting. I didn’t notice any plumping effect and my lips felt dry after the product wore off.

I tried the pineapple cleanser and loved it. So easy to use. Effectively removes makeup and sunscreen without being drying. However I tried the lip treatment and hated it . 1 - its not hydrating, it does the opposite and leaves your lips feeling dry . 2 - it comes with little product, the rest is filled with air. 3 - it’s grainy. Because of that I’d recommend you’d stay away from the beauty products from this line and try the skincare instead.
Rhode is my absolute favorite brand ever! My lips have never been more hydrated. I recommend Rhode to everyone because I truly love the products. I can’t live without the Rhode Espresso Lip Tint—it’s the perfect pop of color. Rhode is *that* girl 🤍
The only thing I’ve tried are the lip products, I love the unscented and watermelon (the caramel was not my favorite). They’re good lip product but nothing crazy special. I still recommend and would try to other Rhode products!

I bought the Rhode peptide lip treatment because I saw all the hype online about it. Long story short, I was disappointed. I really wanted to like it, but I felt like the formula was subpar and that overall it didn't do anything special for my lips. There were even times when I felt like my lips were drying after using it than they were if I had just used a regular lip balm or oil. I gave it a good couple of weeks before I set my opinion but over that 2 weeks I was never in love or really a fan of it at all, unfortunately. I got the original clear formula and I felt that sometimes the formula was almost grainy.

Maybe this works for some people and not others, but I was really underwhelmed. I'm not a chemist so I can't say exactly how to improve it, but I didn't find it to be nourishing but rather a layer sitting on top of my lips. I did like the fact that the packaging was reusable for returns.

I've only tried the lip treatment, but I loved it! It feels great and leaves a natural gloss behind. It also feels very luxurious for the cost.

I'm really not into celeb brands, but I have very sensitive skin with rosacea so I'm always looking for clean skincare — and that's what led me to Rhode. And I hate to admit that I'm obsessed. The Peptide Glazing Fluid and Barrier Restore Cream are great because for me they double as a day and nighttime routine. I really like these two products. The Peptide Lip Treatment feels like fancy and stickier Vaseline. I bought the non-scented one (obviously because my skin is so sensitive) and it smells and tastes great. I probably won't buy it again just because high gloss isn't really my vibe. My only gripe is the packaging. It's a minor detail. But the matte sheen starts to pill and come off, so it makes the outside of the product look dirty. It's not a big deal, but I'm one of those weirdos that like to keep the aesthetic alive in their makeup bag.
My friend got me the lipgloss for my birthday and it smells so good and isn't sticky!
