Reviews mention

  • Soft, comfortable cloudknit fabric
  • Distinctive, modern colorways
  • Versatile, stylish exercise dress
  • Durable, dependable rectrek pants
  • Inconsistent, unreliable sizing
  • Thick, stiff legging fabrics
  • Straps stretch and seams fail
  • Limited, narrow size range

Outdoor Voices earns mixed-to-positive reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable athleisure staples—standouts include the Exercise Dress, CloudKnit sweats, and RecTrek pants—yet fit inconsistency, limited size inclusivity, and variable fabric performance (thick, stiff, or stretching out; sweat showing; seams failing) undermine trust. Reviews praise distinctive colorways, comfortable basics, and long-lasting pieces, but critique leggings’ odd fit and longevity and note quality fluctuations in recent years.

  • I'm a big fan of the 7/8 leggings. Perfect fit and length for me. I'm 5'4.

  • Some clothes are cute but I generally find they do not wear well and the fit is a bit off.

    Fit needs work

  • Love all things OV from their hats, socks, shorts, to their skorts! I can always count on OV for exciting colorways/styles and innovative products with amazing details like hidden pockets!! The checkout and return experience is also seamless and convenient.

  • I usually have problems with tight around the middle, but these OV pants I ordered are SUPER loose around the middle and tight around the thighs. I keep having to pull them up, which is a nuisance. I don't think they're worth the hype.

    Fit

  • Great fit, but managed to get a small hole on the first wear!

  • Super comfortable! Amazing feel and looks great for daily wear

Material feels a bit thin on some items

  • As for me, okay, apart from design, however, I do not see any differences between OV products and popular sports brands.

  • I have been a customer for 4+ years now. I can't get enough of their court skort. Own it in every color. I also appreciate that their tees, both short and longsleeve, are soft, just the right level of fitted, and thus far everything has lasted through many wears and washes.

I wish I loved their leggings, but I prefer Lululemon or Alo. The OV fabric is a bit thick and the fit is never as flattering on me. However I could use a visit to the store to try on their latest styles.

  • The branding is fun but I just don't like the fit of any of their stuff, especially their leggings. It's really loose and stretches after a few wears.

  • Really love OV's mission and branding, but the product quality is just not there. My favorite fabric is definitely the CloudKnit, so lightweight and soft. But I find that out of all my athleisure OV is the quickest to get a hole or just stop fitting right.

Improve product quality or lower prices

  • I can't help but love OV. The sports bras are amazing, tho if you are larger chested, might be better for low impact activities. Obsessed with their t-shirts (SO soft) and have to admit I have two exercise dresses.

Some of my clothes fall apart with wear.

  • I love this brand. I live in Austin (where the brand was originated) and I see how the brand embodies the Austinian's appreciation for the great outdoors. I find it very stylist and aesthetically consistent. All of my active clothes are OV and I don't intend to go anywhere else!

The prices are high and the supply chain feels a bit rigid. They sold out quite quickly and things never come back in favorite colors.

  • I love OV. I’ve been fascinated by the brand since about 2017 and haven’t looked back. I have more OV workout attire than any other brand. I like some styles more than others, and have my faves in multiple colors. I find myself wearing at least one piece of OV at some point every day. Their launches are exciting and I’ve loved attending their events as well. They kill it from a community standpoint. The brand itself tapped into such an important insight — exercise doesn’t have to be this insanely competitive thing. It can be a walk or a swim or anything. The freedom of that, and owning that space as a brand, is genius in my opinion.

Their prices are pretty high and seem to be getting higher unfortunately. With change of CEO I’ve noticed a bit of a shift in the brand, but I think they’re figuring it out. Have hope for their future!

  • I have only purchased the masks, but i LOVE them and recommend them all the time. They're also great for kids

  • I really enjoy my OV exercise dress and cloud knit shirts, which are super comfortable. I received a pair of leggings from OV as a birthday gift however unfortunately I was only able to wear them once given how uncomfortable they were

  • The exercise dress is one of my most reliable pieces of clothing in the summer! The built in shorts ride up a little so I wouldn’t wear it for rigorous exercise, but it’s great for a walk or yoga. The fabric on the straps is separating which sucks because the dress is in otherwise good shape. I’m typically a 4/6, 27/28, and a size small fits perfectly.

  • Is there anything better than the exercise dress?! It’s a staple in my day to day life and on vacation.

  • I love the old compressive styles from Outdoor Voices! They also give an amazing discount to workout instructors. The newer styles are a bit too stretchy and soft and I wish they would go back to releasing new cuts and styles in the old fabrics.

  • I love their shorts - they hit at the perfect spot and fit so well, tops, exercise dress, and sports bras are great but their leggings aren't that stretchy so I stay away from those
