OLAPLEX earns polarized reviews: it visibly strengthens and revives bleached or damaged hair—No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo are frequent standouts—yet many users report dryness, heaviness, or even increased shedding and brittleness if overused. The brand is praised for salon-clean scent, rich lather, and fast toning, but criticized for inconsistent results across hair types and small, hard-to-dispense bottles.

Full of synthetic fragrances, endocrines disruptors as well as toxic chemicals that can affect fertility.
I used one of their hair bonders for a while and I really liked it. I didn't notice a huge improvement in my hair, but I also wasn't the most consistent.
I love this brand buy it from Sephora. Helps my hair healthy. I use it once a week to strengthen my hair.
I’ve used this brand of products for quite a while, and it is one of the best brands that I’ve used on my hair. Go ahead and get the entire product line , it is worth it!
Every Olaplex I've tried has left my hair feeling greasy and weighed down. I really wanted to love this since I've heard great things but it just is not for fine hair in my opinion. Also, I left the Blond Enhance shampoo on for 2 minutes and it left my newly highlighted hair purple! Careful with this one. It's strong!
Love every single product of Olaplex!!!

my hair is a very kinky natural texture as well as colored, so i wanted to use products that are known to help repair and restore hair, especially after color treatments. the shampoo cleanses my hair and scalp very well. i havent tried the conditioner but i;ve heard it doesn't have great slip for detangling. i love using the bond intense moisture mask and the hair perfector before i go in the shampoo that way my hair doesn't feel so stripped of moisture. i will keep using olaplex!
I love olaplex. It’s so luxurious and is so, so good for my hair. I have highlighted blonde hair and the purple shampoo is amazing. I love every olaplex product.

I like the shampoo and conditioner but not my favorite. Good for dry or damaged hair that is on the thicker side.
Not a gigantic fan of any of their products. Completely overrated in terms of repairing hair like it says it does. Is it worth the money for just a shampoo and conditioner? No. Their products aren’t anything to be excited about. Basic.
New to Olaplex, but my hair already feels and looks amazing!
I've used No 3 the hair perfector, and I have to say - if you use it correctly (not as a conditioner, but follow the directions on the bottle!) it really does something different from conditioners and hair masks. My hair is slipperier, smoother, and shinier. I don't always notice when the effect fades, maybe a week? It requires a decent time commitment with wet hair, so it's a weekend (or WFH camera off) pamper product, but it does have a really nice effect.
I really like their products, but it's not built for thin hair. Makes my hair pretty flat.
Product is really worth it for heavily color treated hair, especially fine hair. A little bit of the stuff goes a long way for those of you with fine hair. I have the hair oil, shampoo and conditioner and I have fine hair - it doesn't weigh it down either if you don't use too much. I love the silkiness it gives dyed hair. Removing 1 star for the reason I stopped buying it: I really don't like the packaging. It's annoying to get the last bits out because it doesn't taper, the lids get stuck sometimes in the shower, the labels are impossible to get off for recycling, and the plastic is so thick that I don't think it's actually recyclable. I actually stopped buying it in 2019 because of the packaging and (perceived or real - idk!) lack of sustainability. I recommend it for people with really damaged hair and a lack of other options. Otherwise there are plenty of other hair oils and shampoo/conditioners out there that are more sustainable.
Love the hair oil. Smooths my hair and goes a long way. Good with other products too.
I’ve only ever purchased Olaplex for myself, the products generally smell good, but I didn’t feel a huge difference in my hair after use. I’d still recommend people try because I think everyone has a different experience!
I wanted to try out Olaplex when I decided to put more care into my hair routine, and was excited. I tried the shampoo and the conditioner. Sadly, I was disappointed. I do believe it was helpful with keeping my color intact, but my hair was still quite brittle and dry. It is also pricey, so I did not repurchase with the results. I do want to try out their other products, and will give those a try at some point.

I've been having several different hair issues lately and bought the Olaplex holiday kit to see if any of the products would help. So far, the No. 7 hair oil is my favorite! I was skeptical, but it's so lightweight and makes my hair super soft. Also you only need a tiny bit so the small bottle will last a while. In my opinion, it's worth the hype!
Olaplex really helps with damaged and color treated or bleached hair it’s my go to
