Oatly earns high marks in reviews for creamy, barista-friendly oat milks—especially Barista Edition and Full Fat—that steam, froth, and elevate coffee, tea, and baking, with many calling it the best-tasting oat milk. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some find certain versions watery or overly sweet, and many criticize the ingredient list (oils, gums, phosphates) and report digestive upset or blood-sugar spikes, while a minority prefer competitors’ thicker texture.

  • This is my absolute favorite non-dairy coffee additive!!! It mixes smoothly into coffee straight and doesn't separate even if it takes you four hours to finish your coffee (like me). I recently just also got a frother and this is the best for a super fluffy foam. I did not have the same success with coconut or almond milk. Not that I am consuming a whole serving with coffee, but as a pescatarian appreciate the protein + fiber.

New packaging with a recyclable or compostable container.

  • Hands down the best alternative milk out there — creamy texture, great taste and no added sugars.

Packaging design is great but is the plastic cap necessary?!

  • A couple of months ago I started buying Oatly every time I go for a food shop after trying every oat milk available in the super market... and I must say this is by far the tastiest on its own as well as with my english breakfast tea or coffee. The best part about it is that it lasts ages and it doesn't separate when mixed with my warm cuppa (which is the absolute worst & happens with so many other brands)

  • Love love the taste as always. The barista mix definitely has a ton of sugar / oil, which makes me give this a lower review. Would recommend the low-fat version. Less sugar and no oil. Still works great for lattes if you steam milk.

  • I have been drinking oatly with coffee and with porridge for a about two years. The taste is great, ina way a bit creamier than regular milk and theirs hardly any taste of oat. With coffee the taste is dofferent than with milk, but it definately isn’t bad, just a slightly different taste. Just remember to shake the package berore pouring. Packaging is different to typical milk packages, not going over the top but making it easy to spot on the market shelf. The package even brings the company purpose and other content in a funny way (I have never read the the text of milk bottle until now). I like that they even challenge traditional milk producera to ”show their numbers”.

the cap on the package could be improved. Before pouring the drink you need to shake it and sometimes if the cap isn’t completely tight the there migjt leak a drop or two. Not a deal braker though 🤙

  • As a vegan, Oatly has for a long time my favorite milk replacement.
