  • Still as tasty as ever, but the visual impact of the product has gone down a little as they have scaled up production and pre-packaged everything.

  • Cookies taste amazing and so does the ice cream. Easy to find at target or whole foods

  • I used to LOVE their birthday cake. This is early pandemic and we got it sent to our house. It was the most perfect creamy, sweet but not to sweet, moist cake ever. I couldn’t get enough. And I’m normally not a cake person. A year later I order it again and it’s WAY too sweet. Like gross sweet with an odd aftertaste. We ended up throwing it away. Maybe they changed their recipe so they could keep up with online orders/ramping up production. Maybe whoever made the cake made a mistake or it’s like now done in a factory instead. That’s what I suspect. Because frankly, the cake lost its magic. Sadly this brand is a hard pass for us now. The packaging is colorful and keeps the cake cold when shipped. That’s a thoughtful plus.

  • If you love sweets, this is a good place for you. I loved the strawberry cake they offer but my only complaint is that they don’t have it all the time

  • The birthday cake was wayyyy too sweet for my personal taste. However the brand is excellent when it comes to marketing and aesthetics and making drool worthy, I need this now, posts on social media.

  • Not for me. I think the marketing hype is better than the product. It’s not bad but for the price you can probably get better at a local bakery.

  • I don't get the hype. The products are cute but the taste just average. Too expensive for what it is; have had both fresh in store in NYC and mass produced packaged.

  • I bought their cookie when I was in the Momofuko restaurant in Toronto, back int he days. The same year they did this TV show on Netflix. It was nice, trendy, but nothing more than that! I remember it was quite a splurge for a cookie haha But I took one as a gift for my boyfriend and he was happy of the small gesture!

  • At my Cororate Job for the holidays one of our vendors ordered us a box of MILK Cookies, and when I seen the flavors I was a little skeptical at first. I ended up trying the Marshmellow Cornfalke Cookie and it was really tasty and amazing. I liked that the cookie wasn't dry or overly sweet, and it felt like eating something healthy compared to oeros or chips ahoy.

The brand has a really unique variety of flavors and they are surprisingly very tasty!

  • To me, Milkbar's appeal lies in the absurdity and uniqueness of their desserts. For my sister's birthday, I ordered a sampler that included the cake and truffles, and it was quite fun tasting the unique flavors and textures. I will say that Milkbar's desserts tend to lean on the ubersweet side of things so a smaller serving than usual may suffice as you may get overwhelmed with the sweetness. Overall, the shipping was super fast, and everything was packaged perfectly! The design is fun and so was the food! In addition, Milkbar has expanded to retail grocery stores. I tried the Milk Bar Pie ice cream and look...I fell in love. It's just something about that gooey, rich, and buttery filling that goes so well with the vanilla ice cream. They didn't skip on the toasted oat crust either so the ice cream was a textured dream. Once again, the dessert can be super sweet, but I loved it and want to try more of the treats!

  • Love it for its uniqueness - milkbar we’re the pioneers of the cereal milk ice cream and the infamous crack pie.

I feel as though since they’ve expanded within the US and have made grocery store items the soft spot I have for the brand has faded and the products have become a little compromised since they’re being mass produced. I loved them when they only had 3 or 4 stores

  • I went to the Milkbar at Harvard and was so fascinated by the concept of their treats. They taste amazing but are super sweet. I had to eat my one cookie in two separate sittings.

  • My husband bought me a Milk confetti cake for my birthday a couple years ago. It wasn’t bad but definitely didn’t live up to the hype. It was pretty dry to be honest and not worth the money in my opinion. It was fun and cute for photos though. But ultimately, I like to have my cake and *enjoy* it too. Order from your local bakery instead.

  • Milkbar makes me wish every day was my birthday.

    Come to charleston!

  • I don't write a lot of negative reviews. Most brands here are pretty good. Milkbar has severely disappointed me when it comes to their DTC business. Their retail items have always been fresh and delicious. But in stores, the cookies are crap. They say inspired by the real compost cookie, etc. but don't waste your time.

I LOVE cookies (just ask my wife) and these are really average...at best.

  • My girlfriend ordered their cake and truffles for me for my birthday and it was so fun.

    Feedback

I wish that there was a little more variety in flavors and that they were just a tiiiny bit less sweet

  • Obsessed with the truffles and birthday cake, which I have every year on... my birthday. Love that you can now ship their products across the US.

    The cookies are meh.

  • Very decadent, sweet treats! If you are a fan of the more sugary type of desserts, this will be up your alley.

  • Yes, these treats are very sweet and pretty expensive but that is because they are meant as a once in a while treat (like a birthday cake) but they are very yummy.

If you (or the person you are buying them for) are not fans of very sweet treats then maybe skip this.
