Hoka earns strong reviews for comfort and performance, with models like Clifton, Bondi, Arahi, Mach, and Speedgoat praised for cloud‑soft cushioning, lightweight feel, and pain relief over long hours; however, durability concerns (outsoles peeling, fast wear), inconsistent sizing/fit, bulky aesthetics, and poor customer service repeatedly surface. Reviews indicate Hoka works exceptionally for walking, road running, standing all day, and recovery, but trail durability and narrow/wide fit needs can be mismatched for some buyers.

I have high arches which makes finding shoes very challenging, but I put on the Hoka Transport shoes as soon as I got them and found them to be immediately comfortable. I love that there's no laces and that I can slip them on and off easily.

Absolute favorite running shoes. Have worn the women’s Clifton shoe, and the padding makes running outdoors a breeze. Other, less padded variations are also amazing if you are looking for more of an everyday use.

Would love more white color options but love the shoes.

I've gone through a few pairs of Hoka Cliftons and LOVE them for running or even just for walking. Super cushioned and comfy. Took no time to break in. I did try the Bondi style and felt like those ran rather wide. I ended up having to return those, although I think someone with a wider foot would find those to be amazing.

Sizing felt a bit different between styles. My Cliftons fit perfectly, but the Bondi was a bit too wide for my liking.

I have supination when I walk (basically I walk on the outside of my feet) and I want to start walking more so I’ve been looking for sneakers that are helpful with both of those goals. The Clifton 9s are super comfortable and bouncy which I really enjoy, and their neutral profile helps a lot with my supination. I spend hours in them and nothing brings me more joy than coming home in them and not having my feet hurt. I definitely recommend trying them on in stores if you can, even if you end up buying online. Everyone’s feet/needs are different and the best way to tell with running sneakers is to actually wear them, even if it’s just around the store.

great shoes! i have really bad feet and these shoes are pretty comfortable! i also love their color ways and designs, pricey but feels like a high quality shoe

My first pair of Hokas was a collaboration with the brand Bodega. I liked the a lot so I decided to buy a pair of their running sneakers even though I’m not a runner. I bought the Clifton model and they are a really good sneaker. Extremely lightweight but had a great cushion and support. Great for all day wears

When I bought my Clifton’s my brother liked them so much he got a pair. This happened to my father and mother too so now everyone in the family is wearing them lol.

The collab with free people was *chef's kiss*. I even bought my mom a pair and shipped them to her because they sold out so fricken fast. I always get compliments on them and they make my feet feel amazing.

Hot girl walk shoes? 110% yes! They are worth every dollar. I have had them for almost a year now and still feel great in them.

Hoka mens sandal fell apart just over a year in use. I called customer service and was told nothing could be done because they were out of warranty. They told me I could send them in for evaluation, but that they would be returned anyway. Not great customer service for a supposed great product. Both shoes broke down as seen in the photos, Obviously a bad manufacturing. My keen sandals have lasted forever. Will have to go back to keens. I thought the hoka sandals would me amazing and was wrong.

Sorry to say I need to post a negative review and bad experience with Hoka. I purchased the Clifton 9 shoes in June 2024. After wearing them 15-20 times the sole started coming apart on the bottom of the shoes (see picture). I loved the shoes otherwise however, this would have caused and uneven stride if the loose piece of the sole came off and could have created a trip hazard. I contacted the company and sent pictures in of the defect (see attached). I also verified the date of purchase so it was clear I was well within the one year warranty. I received a shipping label from the company to send them back and one of the three customer service reps I spoke to (all of whom were very nice but the company kept losing my emails with the photos) said this should be a covered issue and I should receive a credit to purchase a new pair of shoes. Two weeks later I receive a standard “form” letter back advising me that my claim was being denied for two reasons: 1. It was beyond the one year warranty period 2. Second, it was being denied because of "normal wear and tear" and "water damage". Thinking an error may have been made I contacted Hoka and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was not given a chance to speak with a manager but a customer service representative named "Camella" reiterated why the claim was denied and said she understood the letter had some incorrect information in it (about the warranty expiring) but the wear and tear excused them from honoring the warranty claim. I paid about $150.00 for these shoes online from the company. You can see the pictures for yourself and reach your own conclusions about how worn or not worn they look to you. I only wore these shoes 15-20 times. They were never in water apart from a few times in rain. It is 100 % clear we are within the warranty period and that a form letter was sent to reject my claim with no thought given to the date of purchase or any explanation for the clearly visible defect. It is also apparent they send a form letter to many/all customers that simply denies warranty claims with no regard for checking whether the warranty period was even valid. This is a deceptive and unfriendly approach to a customer wo paid a significant amount of money for a pair of shoes that after minimal use came apart at the sole. Caveat Emptor - Buyer beware this company has not stood behind this product for this customer. It should not cost a consumer $10 every time they wear the shoes (I wore them 15 – 20 times) and have them wear out after light, normal use. Have a look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

Very disappointing overall experience with my first pair of Hoka shoes. I recently purchased my first pair of Hoka shoes, specifically the Challenger ATR model, from the Hoka store in Eaton Centre Mall, Toronto. The sales associate recommended this model for its versatility on both trails and roads, as well as its supposed waterproof and water-resistant features due to the Gore-Tex material. However, after only two months of wear, I've been disappointed to find significant wear and tear, contradicting the promised waterproof capabilities. In comparison, my Salomon Gore-Tex shoes have performed as expected, and my older shoes (over two years old) show less wear than these new Hoka's. When I reached out to Hoka's customer support to address these issues, I was asked to provide photos, which I could only send one at a time. Unfortunately, their response was that the wear and tear was considered normal. Given the high price point of $220, I expect more durability and quality from Hoka products. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Hoka shoes to others seeking a reliable and long-lasting option. Instead, I suggest exploring alternative brands that offer better value for the price. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Rating: 1/5 stars

Love my Hokas. Perfect for running and everyday wear. Most comfortable shoes for a day with extra walking.

As a healthcare worker, hokas have been my go-to shoes for comfort and walking for almost a decade. I also use my bondis for running given the wonderful cushion and support they provide! Highly recommend as an all around sneaker.

So, Hoka are very much like walking on a marshmallow, but they narrowed their front of shoe, even in wide, and I can no longer wear them...additionally, they do not follow the shape of a real foot for toe splay, and for those reasons, I have stopped wearing them.

I really appreciate shoes quality and comforty. Hoka shoes were very comfortable when you tested them but the quality is really bad. The bottom worn out in a month despite the fact only used for running. Quality doesn't match the price. Only Ecco and skechers have good quality bottom. Ecco used to have good quality overall and last very long. but they became not comfortable so I did not buy in recent year, do not know if the quality has decreased. Skechers worn out the heel part quickly. No brand is good as old Ecco shoes overall.

These shoes are overrated. Wear out fast. Had my second pair for a few months and the foot pain became annoying after 3 hours of wear. Placed gdefy insoles in the hoka sneaker and what an improvement. So back to gdefy shoes , no more hoka mania. Wearing a great comfort shoe in Gdefy.

I rarely leave negative reviews. I’ve been a loyal HOKO customer for years and have always appreciated the comfort and quality of their shoes. Unfortunately, my recent experience with their customer service has left me deeply disappointed. While in New York on business, my dress shoes began giving me painful blisters. I stopped by the HOKO store on 5th Avenue in hopes of finding a more comfortable shoe. As I’ve encountered before, the store had limited stock, but they didn’t carry my size. A salesperson suggested I purchase a larger size to get me through the week. He assured me that if the shoes weren’t comfortable, I could return them by mail once I got home, and they would send the correct size. Trusting his word, I wore the shoes for three days, then mailed them back as instructed—clean and in good condition—requesting the proper size. To my surprise, the shoes were returned to me with a note stating they had been “worn” and were therefore ineligible for return. I was shocked and frustrated. Of course they had been worn—that was the salesperson’s recommendation. The shoes showed no real wear, and I had followed the exact guidance provided by HOKO staff. Does HOKO not stand behind the promises made by its sales team? In the end, I’m left with an ill-fitting pair of shoes and the feeling that a company I trusted let me down. HOKO lost a loyal customer for no good reason. I have always heard HOKA has good shoes but they don't have a customer service culture - I found that to be very true.
These are the best when it comes to running I assume - but I don't really run. They're super comfortable and cushion-y, but not the most "stylish"
My running shoe of choice, I'm on my second pair of Bondi 8's right now. I chose these when I was first getting into running because of the cushioning and I've stuck to them ever since. They look funny because of the big cushioning, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel secure and comfortable wearing them. Worth the money, always recommend.

I have the Men's Mach 5 and I use them on the treadmill every single day. Mostly for incline walking but some running. They are super light and relatively low profile but with a good amount of cushion
These have been my new favorite sneakers. I was looking for a pair of sneakers that were great for walking but always aesthetically attractive. I found the Hoka Clifton 8's and love them. They have the right amount of comfort and compression while staying comfortable for long walks.
