 I was looking for the same comment. I invested a lot in shoes as well. always aim for comfortable shoes. buy Hoka shoes worn out bottom so quickly just in a month. the quality doesn't match the expensive price. very disappointed too.

i agree same here i had foot surgery wasn’t able to walk nonetheless run mine didn’t last a year . I notified the company and they denied me a new pair as well. i sent a second email requesting them to reconsider and nope they did not, 
 I will be taking my business to brooks , i heard they were great running shoes . They do not stand by their warranty.

The bottom just worn out in a month. The customer service is not good. do not buy from them again. 

Has anyone had a warranty issue and how was it handled? My issue was not handled well- I thought their process and customer service did not meet the level I expected. The tread was peeling/ falling off a pair of less than a year old pair of Challenger 7s. I've had 3 pairs- this should not happen. Their customer service considered this normal wear and tear. 

How is their warranty? 

They are trash and do are their shoes . How do you not honor your warranty? mine was less than a year old as well. 

Ecco shoes used to be very comfortable and good quality.  The quality lasted very long time. But sadly they become worse, they are not comfortable anymore. so I started looking for other options. Some one recommend skechers, I tried. they were indeed comfortable. but the part of heel worn out quickly. Hurting my heels so much. Then I bought Saucony powerun, very comfortable, just not very pretty. but so far the quality lasts. Hoka worn out bottom very quickly in a month, apparently very bad material used. I should have claimed. Nike shoes very narrow and not comfortable, I tried in store then I did not choose them so I never know the quality. I missed old Ecco shoes and quality.

I love my Hokas. I am nog a runner, but these are the only shoes I wear when I am out and about and going to be on my feet for a while. Highly recommended or anyone who is a walker like myself. I will defer to the runners for how good of a running show they are. They can now be found at Nordstrom Rack for ridiculously  low prices. I paid less than $90 for mine! The photo I am using is from their website for the exact pair I have. 

My most favorite walking/running shoe! Hokas have that height built into them that you can’t beat for us shorties! They are comfortable even for 12 plus hours! 

I first heard about Hoka about a year ago. Being a Nike and Under Armour person, I was skeptical at first in trying Hoka due to its expensive price tag.  WOW, I must say what a big difference. Buying the right type of show really makes a huge difference. I am now a big fan. With such a variety of styles and colors, I finally purchased mine. I got the ARAHI 7. Getting properly fitted shoes that provides great arch support, makes the body feel amazing. my body feels. These Hoka shoes has made a big difference in the way I walk and run. They provide great support for my knees and back while providing extreme comfort. I now see Hoka shoes everywhere, from the Emergency room to the gym. As a new found user and supporter, I highly recommend Hoka to any person who needs proper shoes in order to maximize their day, whether it be at work, in the gym or in daily to day activities. Well done Hoka in knowing your customer needs and creating a product that changed the dynamics in the shoe world. BRAVO. Skeptical like I was? Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. Give me a THUMBS UP if you are either a big fan or a new user.

I have a pair of hokas for my job where I am on my feet a lot and the extra cushion helps a lot. I also have another pair for walking and the gym. I loved the hiking shoes my only complaint was if they had them in wide because they are wonderful for long hikes, only complaint there. Hokas are a great shoe!

Hoka Ora Recovery Slide 3:

I have Hallux Rigidus and my podiatrist recommended Birkenstocks and these Hoka recovery slides because of the harder sole and a rocker sole. It runs extremely big. I had to go down a whole size for a better fit. It took a bit to get used to. I only wear to run my dog out to pee or sparingly around the house to try to avoid my toes flaring up. 

Hoka Bondi 8 

I always thought these shoes were so big and bulky and ugly. My podiatrist recommended them for the bone spurs I have in both big toes. They provide really good cushion and a rocker sole. I put my full custom orthotics in both shoes and a carbon fiber plate underneath them. It’s best for me to go up to a Wide especially because I have so many insoles I need to use. It gives me more room and a larger toe box area to help my feet feel less smashed. I do recommend them. They’re the only shoes I can wear that help provide me some relief. 

Super easy returns even after you wear. I believe they offer a 60 day guarantee and yes, you can send them back even after you’ve worn them. This is super helpful especially when you’re trying to deal with insoles or special foot needs. 

I do love that they are always coming out with new, fun colors and color combos. 

Hoka Bondi 9: 
I’m so disappointed with the new updated Bondi 9’s. Bondi 8’s were recommended as the best shoe for my bone spur on my big toes but now the laces/eyelets rub right where I have my bone spur and I can not wear them at all. I found from others who also suffer from the bone spurs have the same issue and can no longer wear Hoka’s. So bummed! 

I wanted to like the Rincon and Clifton so badly, they just did not work for my feet. They were super comfortable and I love how light and responsive the shoe was even though it had all the extra cushioning but no matter what I did I could not stop my heal from slipping. I have a super narrow heal and despite using the runners loop and trying multiple different sizes I could not keep my heal from slipping in the shoes. But for those of you who do not have narrow heals I highly recommend giving HOKA's a try. 

I love my Hoka Bondi 9. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned!  They take a little bit of getting used to as they are extra supportive and seem a little elevated at first. I have tried other similar shoes like the On Clouds and Altras and these are the very best. 10/10 recommend. 

Hoka mens sandal fell apart just over a year in use. I called customer service and was told nothing could be done because they were out of warranty. They told me I could send them in for evaluation, but that they would be returned anyway. Not great customer service for a supposed great product. Both shoes broke down as seen in the photos, Obviously a bad manufacturing. My keen sandals have lasted forever. Will have to go back to keens. I thought the hoka sandals would me amazing and was wrong.

These feel like I'm walking on a cloud! I was hesitant since I've never tried Hoka, but they fit super well and are perfect for walking around the city. The wide sizing is great, since my old Nikes were too narrow. 

I must say that I am deeply saddened by my experience thus far. I received a gift certificate from someone who said their shoes are great for comfort and support. I was very excited about the idea of the company and shoes, so I ordered a pair. I received them promptly and proceeded to throw away my previous shoes thinking I would have these for a long time. 

Imagine my surprise that only a couple of weeks after receiving the shoes, parts of the bottom of one was coming off. I like the shoe. But you have to admit, 2 weeks and coming apart is problematic. I contacted them to find out about getting a replacement.  

I called to speak to one of their representatives about the situation because I wasn’t quite sure how to return the item. I wanted to make sure that it was clear that I liked the shoe but that it was damaged and I just wanted to request a new pair. The person I spoke to sent me the correct information on how to return the item and told me that once it was in UPS system as being returned and they had received it, that a new pair could be sent to me right away. 

Waiting 7-10 business days was NOT discussed. I took time to thank her as I let her know that I had already discarded my old ones. I went down within the hour and gave the information and the shoes to UPS. Imagine my surprise when I called days later and the person I spoke to said it was going to take 7-10 days to send me a new pair. She first claimed that the shoes were not there yet, ThEN later in the conversation admitted that they had arrived that morning. (doesn't inspire confidence in her). 

That is unacceptable and quite honestly, will affect my decision to use the company in the future. There are plenty of reputable companies out here. To have a shoe for two weeks, have to send it back and have to wait 7-10 days for a shipment to go out to replace it is not good business. Quite honestly, it is an unreasonable request.

Now for the fun part. That conversation happened 8/7/25. TODAY, I get a new email stating my exchange is in progress and to allow FIFTEEN DAYS for the return to be processed. So a shoe I bought in July, is still being processed deep into August. 

I found several reviews that deal specifically with their customer service and how bad it is. I have already begun the process of looking for another company. Reliability is just as important and making a great product. How you treat your customer is just as important as a comfortable shoe. It seems this company will have to learn that lesson the hard way.

Must have! I’ve been wearing Hokas since I decided to start running again in 2020. 5 years later, I have purchased probably 10+ pairs of the arahi. Coming from someone with persistent shin pain, these have really comforted me and given me a much needed level of support. They’re great for running or walking and hold up pretty well for the amount of use they get. 

I purchased the transport shoes because I wanted something stylish and comfortable. These turned out to be great walking shoes - super comfy, and I always get compliments when I wear them. I am already on my third pair! 

I bought my first pair of  Hoka Speedgoat 6 in Moonlight (blue) colour after few weeks I noticed one shoe is turned grey. I contacted Hoka, after giving them all the information they asked for they claimed I misused them so refused warranty. Shoes are in new condition and I didn't use them for trail running also haven’t wash them.  I also contact the shoe store I bought the shoes from and they also refused warranty because they were used. I am very disappointed of Hoka with their warranty and customer service blaming me for the discolouration and would not purchase another Hoka shoes again. 


These are my new favorite running shoes. I wear them indoors on the treadmill and outdoors on a trail and they offer great support. They come in super fun colors as well. I would recommend them to any other beginner runners like me!

These are great sneakers for walking, working out, and even just running errands. They fit a wide foot well and last a very long time. After about 2 years, it is time to get a new pair but they are definitely reliable for that amount of time. 

I wish they did more collaborations and created a larger quantity. Or better yet, did a second round if they sell out super quick (Free People). I also wish they did another collab with Outdoor Voices.

If you work long days on your feet, in the touring industry, hospitals, security etc, I highly recommend. I toured the last two summers and got the security team to jump on the Hoka band wagon. 

If you have back problems, also recommend! These have helped my low back tremendously.

The first time I saw and tried on Hokas was at an Outdoor Voices in Nashville. I contemplated the sneakers a few times and then finally tried them on after looking at them the 3rd time. As soon as I out them on and stood up, I exclaimed OH MY GOD so loud in the store, my boyfriend bought them for me on the spot.  Like the proud new owner I was... I wore them out of the store and for 3 years have since purchased 8+ pairs.

The Clifton and Bondi's are my favorite. I set an alert for Instagam posts because the collabs are so cool and sell out so fast.

Latest collab is up with Alex Proba - already had them in black but needed in this fun colorway! Love this for quick walks or to throw on for errands. (June 28 2025)


Arahi - my favorite running shoes. My feet pronate and I have very high arches, so the Arahi are a perfect shoe for me. They give me space and support and great bounce. I love them. Colors could be better... I am currently rocking all blacks. But if we are being honest, and we are because it's a review on thingtesting, they are a little ugly:)

Cliftons - great every day shoes for walking around and looking cool/like an 80year old. I have them in clay and all white. Love them. 

I've exclusively worn Hokas for running since 2018.  Prior to that I tried Nikes (frees plus a few other styles). I had shin pain, hip pain, and foot pain, I really couldn't run more than 2 miles without feeling injured. Once I started wearing Hokas, I picked up in speed and mileage. I now average about 5 miles per run and don't feel sore. I love them.

I'll add that my husband wears the speed goats every day. he loves them. I havent tried them yet, but they are on my short list.

I never thought I’d wear Hoka’s but here I am, loving them. I wear a size 13 women’s and Hoka’s line if unisex sneakers 👟 are some of my favorite. They’re cute, super comfortable, and high quality. I wear them all the time and get a ton of compliments! 

I have had 2 pairs with the first being the Rincon 3 which I loved the color and was comfortable for walking in. I ran a half marathon in them and would get blisters since the cut is just a bit narrow for my foot.

My second pair I got the Clifton 8 and I love them! They are very supportive, comfortable for walking and running long distances. I have the black on black which is a nice sleek look. They have held up well given the use I have put on them. 

I do find that the most wear is the back heel area which might just be due to the way I walk. 

I highly recommend this sneaker for walking and running! 

My hokas are soooooo thrashed but only because I wear them all the time. So so comfortable, and I will continue to repurchase.
