Heyday Canning Company earns largely positive reviews for turning canned beans and soups into fast, flavorful meal-makers, with standouts like Coconut Curry Chickpeas, Harissa Lemon Chickpeas, Kimchi Sesame Navy Beans, Enchilada Black Beans, and Tomato Alla Vodka Cannellini. Reviews also flag weaknesses: occasional blandness or excessive sweetness, mushy or overcooked beans, bitter or oily notes, very high sodium, and some flavors missing depth—making quality uneven across SKUs.

As a vegetarian I would say I eat a lot of beans. Beans with a good sauce can make a really great meal but can take a bit to make. So I was really excited when I saw this company. I tried the Tomato Alla Vodka beans. I have made my own recipe of these beans many times before. The flavor was okay but not what I would expect for the sauce. I also really wasn't a fan of the consistency. It was too soupy.
I am kind of torn about writing this review. I bought a can of the black beans and the navy beans. The black beans were great I added them to a pot of chili I was making and it was one of the best chili I have ever made. As for the navy beans the flavor was good but they were WAY over cooked. I wanted to add them to a sausage soup i was making and they were mush which was not the texture I was going for. Instead of a brothy soup i got a very thick slop.

Very salty and oily. Strong flavor. The beans doesn't have much texture, quite mushy. If you are health conscious, think twice before trying.

I’m a fan! I wasn’t sure I’d be into them at first, but the Enchilada Black Beans make an easy and delicious addition to a lot of different meals. I’m excited to try the other varieties. I think maybe they’re a bit too powerful, as in, they really try to take center stage, but hey at least they’re good tasting.

I really like this brand and product! The packaging is nice, and I like the brand's image. The chickpeas were very yummy! I had them as a side with rice to a main course, but they could've been the main course themselves. My only suggestion to the company is to change the marketing of these beans a bit because I think people are less willing to pay about $5 for what is perceived to be a can of flavored beans (as I thought) compared to what is perceived to be a premade dinner (which these actually are!). These bans have so much potential!

Ok, while ive only tried one of these canned beans, I have to say I am majorly impressed! Tried the Enchilada black beans last night and they were so good literally straight out of the can. Had them over rice with some salsa and it was simple but so delicious, very curious to try other flavours!

I used these soups in a chicken tortilla soup, so I can't comment on the taste when eaten alone. But these certainly met my expectations for a canned bean. May not be worth the price, but they were satisfactory.

These are fantastic and a new pantry staple for us! We’ve tried multiple kind and of course flavor is somewhat subjective but they have a lot of bang for the buck when you find the ones you like. They are phenomenal for a quick meal. We add ours to greens or rice or taco meat and done! That’s all it takes for a full flavored meal. My kids like them and so it’s perfect for quick weeknight meals. we’ve also added to stews and soups and they add a nice complexity to the final dish.
I Tried the enchilada black beans- and I've bought them twice already since! I used them in Mole enchiladas, and they taste amazing with just a little extra flavor than regular canned beans. The texture and flavor is great. The other kinds didn't sound as great, but I hope they create more options to make beans exciting and easy to use!
YUMMMMM! I love these beans. The coconut Curry Chickpeas are incredible. Such a quick and easy way to make a delicious dinner. The price does make it hard though. I always buy these when they are on sale at Whole Foods but don't love to pay full price. I can't wait to try more flavors though!!
I really love these beans! I am always trying to get extra protein with beans, and having these already preflavored and ready to go is amazing and really helps get together a quick meal! I've only been able to try a few of the flavors but I hope to find more in my area! I have to say, the coconut curry is my favorite! I've also been buying these before my free can!
I appreciate the wide variety of unique flavor combinations and profiles of these bean products. My family particularly enjoyed the kimchi sesame variety. However, the price is notably higher compared to traditional canned beans. If you are looking for the convenience of not having to add your own seasoning, and don’t mind the higher cost, this could be an option for you.
I like to use these canned beans because they have simple ingredients and are not processed. They have a vast variety of beans and flavors to choose from. I really enjoy to have these are a quick and easy meal.
I randomly bought a can of these beans at Whole Foods because they were on sale and I was shocked with how good they were. I thought it would just be a regular can of beans, but the flavor is more than they even advertise you can put a can of these beans on pasta or rice and your meal is done.
This is an interesting concept but it has too much sodium for me

Coconut Curry chickpeas a so freaking yummy. I ate two cans one night. I do want to try the enchilada baked beans sometime as well.
Drain the liquid, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and roast at 425°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. You can adjust the cooking time based on how crispy you like them. These make a tasty snack on their own or a great addition to any salad. As mentioned in the title, I love adding them to a Greek-inspired orzo salad (think feta, cucumber, tomato, Kalamata olives, orzo, lemon zest and juice, and more—feel free to get creative!). They add a perfect boost of protein and flavor.
Hey Day canned beans are so unique and tasty it can be an entree on its own in a meal. The kimchi navy beans was delicious and tasted great with some rice. It is quite filling so you can get a satisfying meal by just opening the can and heating it up. I also love their cute packaging.
These aren’t just your average can of beans these are basically meals and a can I love the variety of different flavors they offer and how unique they are and these really are ready to eat. You basically just have to heat them up and you can serve them with rice or a carb if you like I love the ingredient list as well.
