Reviews mention

  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • So this product was THE it product line of the time during the beginning stages of 'clean girl' makeup. I am someone that falls very easily to marketing ploys of self improvement and looking better so I have purchased almost everything on their site. It's all incredibly simple and basic stuff which is NOT a bad thing. The perfume isn't offensive and the skin care is bare minimum (again not bad but I have severely dry and acne prone skin at the same time) The makeup is great for day to day wear and I still use it for going to work as I honestly want to throw on the most minimal look I can. I will say recent products just don't cut it when there are a million other brands that do the clean girl look now for a more affordable price and admittedly better quality. I do love the pink bag packaging despite not being eco-friendly and not the strongest bag for daily use. It's pinnacle millennial clean girl looks and I loved it then but less so now.

The price point and lack of innovation. It doesn't need to cater to everyone but it's very clearly "makeup for pretty girls" type of marketing.

  • As someone who struggles to do a full makeup look for an event, never mind for everyday wear, I've loved using Glossier products. Their makeup items are very simple and straightforward, don't require any expertise, and give you a put together look.

  • All of their products smell great! The Glossier Body Hero feels soo luxurious and I always get so many compliments when I wear their perfume.

    Feedback

Price point is high but worth it for their skincare. The boy bro wasn't great though. It took too long to dry down.

  • Glossier has some awesome products and hard to not love their fun packaging. It is a cool brand and seems to care about sustainability

    Feedback

I feel like their skin care isn’t the greatest and just doesn’t seem to be worth the money compared to similar produces

  • I've tried almost all of the products in their range. Some were really great, some were just ok. Complexion and brow products are the best. Liquid eyeshadows, I didn't like at all.

  • Glossier is my go to makeup brand. Every time I invest in another brand I end up missing the Glossier item. Nearly every product I’ve tried from Glossier worked great and as it was specified. If you love a clean makeup look you will love Glossiers makeup and skin care items. This brand is a staple in my life!

Glossier usually gives a plastic makeup pouch with every purchase which I believe is wasteful and unnecessary. I noticed from my latest online purchase that there was a button added to the website to remove the plastic pouch from the order which is a great step towards lowering their overall waste output. I think these could easily be a purchasable item for a very small few in an effort to limit the amount of pouches made and ultimately thrown away.

  • This is one of my favourite beauty brands. Have been using continuously for a couple of year now, it is my go-to brand when shopping for gifts. Personally love the multi lip + blush stick, I have multiple lip balms across different bags (one of the only balms that actually works on my dry lips? I tend to get dry lips a lot) and have heard wonderful things about the cleanser but not yet tried. If you're on the verge, definitely give Glossier a try. + added bonus: the branding is just yummy.

Some products can be of higher price point for what the deliver, maybe revisit pricing. Would like to see more elevated lip balm flavours.

  • I love their mascara and lip balms. Totally recommend all their products to everyone. Good prices, great quality!

  • Aesthetic packaging and a few unique products (such as boy brow) that I can't get anywhere else.

    Feedback

Most of their products are just average quality.

  • I used Solution pretty religiously every other day for almost a year, and experienced minimal acne during that time. It feels good, smells nice, and the dispenser makes it very easy to use with cotton pads.

    Feedback

I will say, the dispenser tends to dispense product in a small area right in the center of my cotton pad. I like to apply the product evenly over the entire pad, so it requires a bit of finagling and moving the cotton pad around over the dispenser to get the saturation I want.

  • I've tried around half of Glossier's products, my favorites are boy brow, stretch concealer, and the setting powder. People seem to love their mascara but I was not a fan as it didn't really do much for my lashes. While I think their skincare offerings are effective, I find them to be overpriced.

    Feedback

Would love to see a volumizing mascara from this brand.

  • Innovate products but prices are climbing and accessibility is low

Come out with new products with improved shade ranges.

  • I have bought from Glossier since their first launch. I have tried their skincare, makeup and fragrance. I use their reusable pink pouches all the time with travel. Their customer service is amazing and proactive. A few weeks after I bought the Skin Tint they reached out to me with credit as they were about to release the reformulated version. I've never had a company do that, and I shop a lot online. I think their products make a great gift to a beauty or skincare newbie - not really for anyone who is a Sephora VIB or has problem skin. I love their Glossier You Fragrance - amazing packaging, light scent, perfect for everyday. The product I repeatedly purchased from them is their Milky Jelly Cleanser, which feels like an elevated rose-scented version of Cetaphil / Cerave. Not necessary but I like i t. And I used to love their Bubblewrap eye cream but unfortunately, they discontinued it. Their Cloud Paints and Eyebrow pens work very well but they are harder to use than a cream blush stick or eyebrow pen from competitors. I still follow them online as I love their social content and find their imagery inspiring. Their packaging, branding and imagery were so innovative during the first few years. Now I think their product innovation is lacking and it's challenging for them to compete with new DTC beauty brands like Merit, Kosas, Tower 28, Saie, etc.

    New product development

  • I don't love the packaging (personal preference for less branding/pink), but the product quality is pretty good! Some favorites: The Body Hero body wash (amazing smell), Boy Brow, and the various lip offerings. I don't reach for the liquid foundation or concealer much. I always check out when they have new products though and occasionally try one!

    Feedback

Would love the minimalist nature of the products to be reflected a bit more in the packaging.

  • I was a fan of glossier skin tint and concealer for a while but when my skin changed over time (less even, a little more acne) I had to replace them with heavier coverage products. Love their cloud paint and am interested in trying their other products. They are good with returns and I appreciate the bundles they offer online since most of the products are a little pricey.

  • With gorgeous packaging that draws you and some really great products, Glossier is a brand that I keep coming back to. I love their boy brow and cloud paint. I haven't loved any of their skincare products, but will always go back for those two items.

  • I like the overall vibes but it’s generally overpriced. Generation G lipstick is drying but balm dotcom and the lip glosses are good. Perfume smells amazing

  • Glossier is a consistent brand. Their customer service and shipping times are great. Their products are very nice and their price range is reasonable. I love their mascara, concealer, skin tint, and fragrance.

  • I was a Glossier fan for many years + still love boy brow + lash slick, but I feel like the quality has changed a bit recently. Lash slick, in particular, feels like a different formula now and dries out much faster / is more flaky.

    Feedback

The only product I *truly* didn't love was the Generation G lipstick. I don't know if I had an allergic reaction or what, but it severely dried my lips out / made them super sensitive (almost like they were sunburnt)

  • I love Glossier's Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color in Storm. It is perfectly sized for travel and is subtle enough to add just a tinge of rosiness but can be built upon for more impact. The formula's thickness is perfect and glides smoothly onto my skin without dripping. I also tried Glossier's Perfecting Skin Tint in G5. It's lightweight, sheer, and perfect for everyday use, leaving a natural dewy look behind. I love that it feels like I'm wearing nothing and isn't drying my skin out.
