Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
What you get depends on what you want from this brand. There are other products, that aren't as expensive, that do really similar things at this point in time. Those products are also frequently easier to access (although Glossier is coming to Sephora). Their classics are super solid (Cloud Paint, Gen G lipstick, the mascara), but again, they aren't as unique as they once were. I believe most products will perform in a low impact, but easy to use way, which may be what most of their customers are looking for. The customer support has always been top notch for me.

I miss the Glossier Play line! Bring back a little bit of fun, easy to wear color.

Used the invisible shield sunscreen. Really enjoyed it, super lightweight
Feedback
Pricey compared to other sunscreens on the market. Hard to test products with lack of brick and mortar stores
I like their minimalistic approach and they have some genuinely great products but I think their color selection is too narrow
I love the glossier cream blush and highlighters. I have had my blush for YEARS and there's still a lot of product in it. And, over all these years the quality and pigment is just as good as the first time.

I wish it was available at other retailers that are more accessibl.e

Love the branding and the feel of the products but many can be substituted easily with drug store brands. That being said, I have yet to find a comparable boy brow dupe!

Wider range of products
I like their cleansers, blush, sunscreen, and eyebrow gel. They work, but they need to expand from the DTC model, because I find shopping exclusively for beauty products on just their website inconvenient.

Love how affordable and inclusive this brand is! Most folks can definitely find a shade and product for them based on their skin type and tone.
I have used the balm dot com, the boy brow, and the cloud paint. The balm is fine, but is honestly nothing special. I lost it and won’t purchase a replacement. The boy brow made my brows stiff; I prefer the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow freeze. I do use the cloud paint for my cheeks regularly; it’s an unusual product but I like the flush it gives. The pink packaging it is delivered in seems fun but isn’t sturdy enough for many re-uses (at least in my experience).

Less wasteful packaging.

Love this brand! Small lineup of beauty products and they are all great. My fav is their perfume. Highly recommend.
So this product was THE it product line of the time during the beginning stages of 'clean girl' makeup. I am someone that falls very easily to marketing ploys of self improvement and looking better so I have purchased almost everything on their site. It's all incredibly simple and basic stuff which is NOT a bad thing. The perfume isn't offensive and the skin care is bare minimum (again not bad but I have severely dry and acne prone skin at the same time) The makeup is great for day to day wear and I still use it for going to work as I honestly want to throw on the most minimal look I can. I will say recent products just don't cut it when there are a million other brands that do the clean girl look now for a more affordable price and admittedly better quality. I do love the pink bag packaging despite not being eco-friendly and not the strongest bag for daily use. It's pinnacle millennial clean girl looks and I loved it then but less so now.

The price point and lack of innovation. It doesn't need to cater to everyone but it's very clearly "makeup for pretty girls" type of marketing.

As someone who struggles to do a full makeup look for an event, never mind for everyday wear, I've loved using Glossier products. Their makeup items are very simple and straightforward, don't require any expertise, and give you a put together look.
All of their products smell great! The Glossier Body Hero feels soo luxurious and I always get so many compliments when I wear their perfume.
Feedback
Price point is high but worth it for their skincare. The boy bro wasn't great though. It took too long to dry down.

Glossier has some awesome products and hard to not love their fun packaging. It is a cool brand and seems to care about sustainability
Feedback
I feel like their skin care isn’t the greatest and just doesn’t seem to be worth the money compared to similar produces
I've tried almost all of the products in their range. Some were really great, some were just ok. Complexion and brow products are the best. Liquid eyeshadows, I didn't like at all.
Glossier is my go to makeup brand. Every time I invest in another brand I end up missing the Glossier item. Nearly every product I’ve tried from Glossier worked great and as it was specified. If you love a clean makeup look you will love Glossiers makeup and skin care items. This brand is a staple in my life!

Glossier usually gives a plastic makeup pouch with every purchase which I believe is wasteful and unnecessary. I noticed from my latest online purchase that there was a button added to the website to remove the plastic pouch from the order which is a great step towards lowering their overall waste output. I think these could easily be a purchasable item for a very small few in an effort to limit the amount of pouches made and ultimately thrown away.
This is one of my favourite beauty brands. Have been using continuously for a couple of year now, it is my go-to brand when shopping for gifts. Personally love the multi lip + blush stick, I have multiple lip balms across different bags (one of the only balms that actually works on my dry lips? I tend to get dry lips a lot) and have heard wonderful things about the cleanser but not yet tried. If you're on the verge, definitely give Glossier a try. + added bonus: the branding is just yummy.

Some products can be of higher price point for what the deliver, maybe revisit pricing. Would like to see more elevated lip balm flavours.
I love their mascara and lip balms. Totally recommend all their products to everyone. Good prices, great quality!

Aesthetic packaging and a few unique products (such as boy brow) that I can't get anywhere else.
Feedback
Most of their products are just average quality.
I used Solution pretty religiously every other day for almost a year, and experienced minimal acne during that time. It feels good, smells nice, and the dispenser makes it very easy to use with cotton pads.
Feedback
I will say, the dispenser tends to dispense product in a small area right in the center of my cotton pad. I like to apply the product evenly over the entire pad, so it requires a bit of finagling and moving the cotton pad around over the dispenser to get the saturation I want.
I've tried around half of Glossier's products, my favorites are boy brow, stretch concealer, and the setting powder. People seem to love their mascara but I was not a fan as it didn't really do much for my lashes. While I think their skincare offerings are effective, I find them to be overpriced.

Would love to see a volumizing mascara from this brand.
