Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.

I get the hype, this is beautifully branded stuff from a cult fave company. I bought in and purchased a few things - moisturizing moon mask, skywash, futuredew, and boy brow and haven’t purchased again and won’t. They felt like just run of the mill drugstore products, just with better packaging. The boy brow lasted for about 3 weeks before it was out of pigment and became just a brow brush. Bummer, I wanted to love but just didn’t.

Underwhelming, overpriced, mediocre. The definition of “meh.”
I've been using a variety of Glossier products for a few years now and think some things are more worth the hype than others, but the things I do like I really like. My current favorites are the balm dotcom and the Milky Jelly cleanser - balm is great especially for very subtle very moisturizing color in the tinted shades, and the cleanser does a good job of cleaning without stripping moisture.

I really like the minimal nature of Glossier's products. My favorites have all been their take on something that is fairly common, just a bit nicer and sleeker and still not too pricey.

Everyone knows this makeup does not provide full-coverage. They don't claim to... And you HAVE to be into the dewy look. I think they're best product is the stretch concealer. Although it moves slightly, I'd prefer that to cakey crusties. Plus it's super brightening which I love.

I have yet to try a Glossier product that I haven't loved. As someone who isn't particularly into makeup, I appreciate how easy their products are to use. I'm also a fan of their minimal packaging and aesthetic. The Glossier You perfume is a daily staple for me and I always get so many compliments when I wear it. And let's not even get started on Boy Brow - I always make sure to have a backup in stock because I can't live without it. All in all, Glossier has quickly become one of my go-to brands for high-quality, easy-to-use beauty products.
Don’t love their products. Kosas is a better alternative.

Glossier was a transformative makeup experience shift for me when it first came out. I buy from them regularly and have been a loyal user for years. Some of my favorite products that I use every day are: Solution, Milky Jelly, Retinol, and the serum trio. Their makeup is also my usual everyday go tos but I do know that a lot of people do not like it because it's so sheer. I think the price range is pretty reasonable but I think my main reason for knocking off a point in my rating is just for the lack of innovation and new ideas. There's rarely any new/interesting products and most are either 1 limited edition color, or an assortment of the same ol' products in a gift box. I've probably spent several thousand on them over the years and they've also never had any loyalty program or rewards. Honestly just gets kinda old, if I ever find a better skincare/makeup solution I wouldn't mind switching.

Customer support has been really lacking lately. I recently had a serum that wouldn't pump out product and I literally had to record myself pumping the bottle 50 times to prove that I wasn't lying.
Glossier’s product offering has something for all users and makeup comfortability levels. Their products last long, are light on your skin and Glossier You is an iconic scent we’ve all come to recognize. Cons: their packaging is very poor. Products consistently leak, tubes crack, wands snap & their customer service does not make you whole. As a customer, this was tolerable in ~2015 when the brand was just getting started but these woes are nearly unacceptable for a brand of their size now.
cool girl, clean zillenial aesthetic with packaging that is perfect on any vanity. My hero products are : the Gen G lipstick in shade "Like" for that just blotted perfect pink/berry shade, "Glossier You" perfume for that bright pepper yet subtly sweet scent that really does settle in differently on everyone, and finally, my beloved boy brow, with the perfect dark blonde shade and the best applicator I've ever used for my brows. There is something for everyone in this product line whether you're into makeup or skincare!

Since I don't live near any Glossier stores, I was unsure about shades. I would have tried many products a lot sooner if I could test on my unique skin tone. That being said, the UX on the website is great in showing the shade ranges on various skin tones. The packaging is beautiful and I love the consistency of the look and feel across the product line. I also love the bundling options when I am restocking my makeup kit. Lastly, I enjoy having the solid option of my Glossier You Perfume when I'm traveling and don't want to have to worry about the bottle breaking.

I got the Cloud Paint in the color Storm — a warm rose for my medium tan skin! The formula is thick enough but light enough that the product beautifully adds color to your cheeks while giving visibility to your natural skin. Glossier is a pro-skin makeup brand that embraces skin texture, and I wish the products were more accessible in-store which is why I gave four stars instead of five, but word on the street is that Glossier will be on the shelves in Sephora stores in early 2023!
Great branding, amazing website, and probably one of the first “clean beauty” product lines (before the craze). I’ve tried a ton of their products over the years (boy brow, cloud paint, future dew, etc.) but nothing ever really stuck. I always ended up finding products I liked more, but that’s different for everyone depending on skin type and how they do their makeup.

Cloud paint is far too pigmented…honestly, I would rethink some of the packaging and applicators which make some products more difficult to use. Big fan of Future Dew though…
I've never been disappointed in a Glossier product. They keep things simple and effective. I love both their makeup and skincare products and have my eyes on the fragrance!
I was gifted the eye shadow. It is nice.
Feedback
For the eye shadow, because it comes in a tube, it would be nice to know how to put it on. I had difficulty trying to figure out how to get it to be evenly distributed on my eyelid.

Boy brow for the win! I never wore anything for my brows and now I'll never not have this on hand!

High quality products that live up to the hype. My wife stocked up and has been going through her inventory over the last few months.
Can’t help it. Love the products that work for me. Balm dot com and the hand lotion are my personal favorites. And the fragrance too.
Boy Brow is one of the only things that makes it into my minimal makeup routine — easy to apply, natural look, adds *just enough.*

Miss the skincare first days with a more focused assortment!

I think Glossier received a lot of hype from their packaging and branding, however, I don't think they products are that amazing. The toner is very harsh on my skin. The one products I did really enjoy was the liquid eyeshadow, that product was very pigmented and lasted a long time.
I like the products I tried (boy brow, cheek tint, lip balm) but I wouldn’t (and haven’t) repurchased.
Feedback
There are much more inexpensive products that perform the same, if not better. I am planning on trying their perfume so I am still open to finding holy grail products from the brand
There are some things I’ve tried that I did not believe were worth the hype - specifically the mascara, because it really does not work on my straight lashes. Not a fan. I do enjoy the perfume and Ultralip, though! And I’ve given into the hype enough to have bought a hoodie and travel bag.

I love their brow and eyeshadow products! The simplicity and ease of use for everyday wear are the key reasons I return to using Glossier's products. I also have enjoyed their lip products in the past, and the cake color is my go-to. I like how the website shows different skin-toned models wearing their products to give a sense of what it might look like on you.
