Sichuan Chili Crisp

  • Why is this so delicious? I just ate with a side of Trader Joe's Japanese fried rice and dumplings covered in this with a little hoisin sauce. Perfect for a lazy midweek meal that still tastes and looks premium - and especially if you love a kick of heat!

  • I got this forever ago on Thingtesting and it took me a while to get to it as I was using other sauces I had on hand. But to be honest - everyone ranted and raved about this one and I have to say I dont really get it. I find the original sauces from the Asian market to be more flavorful and have more heat to them. I don't think I'd repurchase this. The packaging is amazing - love it - but i can't say this product is the best for me.

  • This stuff is so dang good. When I first tried it, I was blown away by how much flavor is packed in and the spiciness is not overpowering but pairs with the flavor perfectly. Essential to top your noodles with! So good!!

  • The Sichuan chili crisp goes well on everything. It adds the perfect amount of depth and heat to a dish. I find myself adding it to every meal and have repurchased this so many times. Everything I've tried from Fly by Jing is excellent.

  • Can't get much better than this! I thought the Trader Joe's chili onion crisp was good, and then I tried this and never looked back. It's packed with flavor, is filled with so much product, and the packaging is so fun. LOVE this, I put it on everything.

  • Such good chili crisp oil. It has all the emblematic flavors one expects from chili crisp — spicy, crunchy, aromatic, citrusy. It’s a consistent repurchase, and despite the high price, I find that a jar lasts close to a year so not a huge concern.

  • I've been purchasing the Sichuan Chili Crisp from Fly By Jing for a number of years now. It is my go-to for this sauce and it is pretty mild. It is not overpowering and is the perfect amount of crunchy.

  • Bought a holiday gift set including two sauces and one spice. Tasty. As far as the chili crisp I actually like Trader Joe’s better which I hate to say. Makes a nice gift and I’ll try more products in the future.

  • Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy this chili crisp hot oil but I would say it’s more along the lines of a garlic crisp/oil flavor add than a true Asian chili oil. But as someone who always has multiple brands of chili oils in their fridge, I still use this one when I’m seeking the garlic profile and tend to mix it with my other OGs like LGM.

  • Adds delicious flavor to anything! Definitely spicy, but that can be controlled by how much of it you use. It can be a bit messy though so make sure to wipe your counter or table after using it, and wipe the jar before storing it.

  • It’s absolutely worth the premium cost. Once you taste its complexity you’ll realize why it costs three times more than something like Trader Joe’s chili crisp, which is more oily and greasy than anything.

  • I've gotten Fly by Jing chili crisp a few times and I absolutely love it! I've gotten the original chili crisp and have paired it with eggs, dumplings etc. and have found it to be extremely flavorful! It definitely has a more liquid consistency than traditional Chinese chili crisp but still extremely good! + I like the packaging a lot!
