EADEM earns strong reviews for sensorial formulas that generally perform—Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm visibly softens, adds glossy, buildable color, and delights with a cool, weighty metal applicator—while some skincare (notably Milk Marvel Spot Serum) feels gentle but underwhelms for dark-spot results. Reviewers praise luxe packaging, inclusive shades, and comfortable textures, but note very thick balm texture, occasional scent mismatches or strong fragrance, and mixed cleansing power for the Dew Dream Balm.

I ordered three shades: boba bounce, bissap glaze, and the limited edition pain au chocolat for some new fall lippie shades. I’ve been using these for about a week now and they’re so pretty on! I love that they make my lips look “blurred” and the formula doesn’t settle into the lines on my lips and instead almost glazes over my lips to make them look smooth and shiny. They also have really good color pay off and aren’t just a “tint.” They do have exfoliating properties so I wouldn’t wear this daily or a lot during the day. But my lips already do feel smoother after wearing these!

My new favorite lip product! I ordered the Pain Au Chocolate lip softening balm and it smells heavenly! It smells like chocolate. The applicator is so nice and it makes it feel like a very high end product. A little goes a long way. I definitely recommend this product.

The products, the packaging, and the branding definitely give ~luxury~ products (for not a super high price point). I tried their Lip Softening balm, which seems to have a LOT of hype, but it wasn't what I was expecting...the product is great, but I prefer the formulas from Summer Fridays or Laneige (if you want a glossy product). The balm collected on my lips in an odd way after some wear...which is apparently normal? I do think it softens my lips, but I prefer a glossier finish.

I got the lip balm in the butter mochi (unscented/unflavored) and boba bounce. The product packaging is substantial and feels luxurious. The product itself has a smooth application and leaves lips feeling glossy but not excessively sticky. I noticed that over time my lips do feel softer with use. One note is that the pigmentation of the colored balms is much less sheer than I expected. The boba bounce looks more like lipstick with my complexion. Still beautiful but not what I expected!

Eadem is one of those beauty brands that feels different right away. They focus on science and inclusivity, and everything in their line has this sense of thoughtfulness behind it. It’s like science meets luxe. I tried their viral Le Chouchou Lip Balm. What makes the Le Choucou Lip Balm stand out from others in this space is that it’s more than just a balm. It softens lips and makes em pretty and glossy (duh), but it also gently exfoliates with enzymes and AHA, so it’s treating dryness while giving you color and shine (bear with me, a two in one that actually works!). The packaging DESERVES attention!! At this price point, most lip balms feel pretty basic (plastic tube, maybe you get a soft silicone applicator maybe not), but Eadem went luxe(!!). The tube comes in silver (with some limited editions in gold) and each one has a heavy metal applicator tip. It feels cool, weighted, and instantly more elevated than anything else in my lip drawer. Love how the applicator feels on my lips. I tried two shades: Butter Mochi and Guava Fresca. Butter Mochi is clear and unscented, the kind of shade you can always reach for without thinking. Guava Fresca is where things get really fun. It’s a hazy petal pink that manages to be both dusty and fruity, and the color payoff is impressive. You can wear it sheer with one swipe or layer it for a stronger look. The scent is tropical guava, which makes me think of a smoothie on vacation, nice and sweet and refreshing and juicy. The formula for the lip softening balms is thick and comforting. It doesn’t slide around or feel greasy like petroleum, but it also doesn’t disappear right away. It has weight to it in a way that feels protective, while still leaving a glossy finish that looks polished. Overall, I genuinely think Le Chouchou is a standout. It combines pigment, treatment, and luxury packaging all in one, which is rare for a $24 lip balm. I’m already hoping they expand the shade range, and I definitely want to try more from Eadem’s lineup after this. They’ve really impressed me with this one.

Genuinely one of the best lip balms I have tried! The applicator is also really nice and cooling. I keep one in my purse always. The clear is nice and juicy and I recently picked up the color Guava Fresca and it’s perfect for summer!

I am on my second bottle of this however I really do not notice a difference in the brightening or eliminating any dark spots. I like that it is very gentle however, I wish it was more effective. I will not be repurchasing a third bottle.

The ONLY lip gloss I’ve used for over a year. It’s my daily go-to (even overnight sometimes) and I literally don’t leave the house without it. I love the chic silver tube and the formula is so buttery. Even swiping the gloss on my lips feel good because of the metal applicator. The scents are yummy without being overly sweet and the wear is pretty long-lasting (about 3hrs for me), likely because of how thick the gloss is. They’re listed as “lip softening” balms that have exfoliating properties in them — not sure if I’ve noticed any change other than avoiding chapped lips from wearing it every day. I normally put vaseline or aquaphor on my lips at night, which could be what’s actually maintaining softness. Also, these balms are pricey, so definitely take advantage of sales/promo codes whenever possible. I’m up to four different colors now and they all suit my brown skin really well. Love that the brand was created by and for women of color!

Really loving these products so far. I have been searching for a gentle exfoliant for my very sensitive skin and this one is great and has no pore clogging ingredients. The lip balm is also phenomenal. Truly an exfoliating lip product and the croissant scent is lovely.

Absolutely loved the products I got! I purchased a pack of 5 lip balms, and gifted 2 of them to friends. We all loved that they were beautifully pigmented and long lasting. I especially love the metal applicator-it's cooling and feels so good when applying. Shipping was super fast and the free gua sha and roller gift was beautiful, heavyweight, and cooling!

I’ve been using the exfoliating toner 3x per week for 2 weeks now, and I love that it is gentle but still effective. My skin has not had any negative reactions to the product (which can often occur with acids) and feels soft and refreshed.

EDIT: I stand by the rest of my review, but the applicator part for one of my older tubes broke off as I was recapping it (see photo). I wasn’t twisting hard or putting a lot of force into it…it’s just a lipgloss. And a tube I bought at the same time and have used more is perfectly fine. I emailed customer service about it, got a response within an hour, and they already processed sending me a complimentary new lipgloss (I didn’t even ask for one). A+ service, and I’m assuming this is a fluke issue. After trying lip product after lip product and coming out with lips drier than before I used them, I’m always skeptical about peoples’ claims that XYZ lip product is SO hydrating and softening. But Le Chouchou honestly changed the game for me. Besides one specific Vaseline product, Eadem’s lip glosses is the only lip product I’ve used that actually leaves my lips softer than before without the revenge dryness that you get from other products. And since I would get dry lips if I didn’t use anything at all, I’m happy I found this. The colors are really nice and buildable. The consistency is a slightly sticky one - it doesn’t dry down really until you need to reapply for color purposes. I got Burnt Malai and Bissap Glaze (the shade in my photo) last year off an influencer rec, and Bissap became my immediate go-to given my coloring (burnt malai was a bit warm for me). But since they’re now at Sephora, I went there first to see the colors before ordering off Eadem’s website for the Thingdrop. This time, I got a backup Bissap and the fig, clear, and guava shades. I debated getting their limited chocolate croissant one (smells great!) but I don’t often do brown lip shades and decided against it. They’re missing a red shade but otherwise have the main colors. Eadem was also having a promo, so the Chisel was included in my purchase. I’m not a gua sha person, so I need to do some reading to make sure I’m doing it properly and not pressing too hard in the wrong spots (Eadem could def add more guidance online). But the Chisel feels good quality - weighty and sturdy. I wouldn’t have paid full price for it, but it’s nice!

I ordered the lip balm in 4 different shades. They are all stunning! The gloss goes on smooth and is not sticky. It also last really well unless I’m eating. The lip balms are quite large and I feel they will last a while.

I ordered the Le Chouchou Balms in Butter Mochi, Bissap Glaze, and the Threesome set (Bissap Glaze, Burnt Malai, Boba Bounce), and wowowow—the color payoff is insane. One swipe and my lips are coated in color. As for the formula, I’m still getting used to it. It’s quite thick—I've been wearing Bissap Glaze all day, and while I absolutely LOVE the color, it feels a bit goopy on my lips. It’s not sticky, just... thick. But the color? She’s a stunner and my favorite thus far, and leaves behind a light, pretty stain. ⬛ The packaging is ⋆✩GORGEOUS. LUXE. MODERN. ✩⋆ ⬛ Great color payoff ⬛ The metal applicator is a dream. So cooling and soothing! ⬛ Con: Formula is very thick and may take some acclimation ⬛ Con: Everything is scented. It doesn’t seem like an added fragrance, more like the natural smell of the formula itself. It’s not strong, but it's an herbal-mix scent that I’m not in love with.

First of all, the packaging on Eadem products is gorgeous. Very high quality; does not feel cheap at all. My thoughts towards each product differs- - cleansing balm: 3 / 5 stars. The texture of this balm is lovely, and it doesn’t irritate my eyes like some cleansing balms or oils can. But I also don’t think it does a great job of removing makeup. I double cleanse at night and tried this as the first step; I still had to go in with makeup remover or micellar water after using this. Peel & serum: 4/5. It’s too soon to establish efficacy, but I am impressed with these products thus far. I have pretty sensitive skin and rosacea, and neither of these products causes any discomfort or tingling. Moisturizer and lip balm: 5/5. The moisturizing wasn’t heavy but still did a great job of keeping my dry skin moisturized. It wore well under makeup. I really love the lip Balm. Guava is a nice natural pink, which is good because the balm does seem to be fairly pigmented. It goes on very thick but dries down nicely.

This product is nice and very gentle. After 2 weeks of using it 2x a week I haven’t noticed anything too significantly different with my skin in terms of pore minimization but my skin does feel very hydrated and glowy. I think this could be good for sensitive skin because it has very calming ingredients. The brand itself is very simple and minimal and the packaging feels very luxurious!

I love the packaging of these products, firstly. Very simple and appealing. The lip softening balm works! I wish I got a clear version but the limited pain au chocolate smells chocolatey and really helps my chapped lips. With my purchase, I also got a Gua sha which I’m also excited to use.

I ordered four of the Eadem Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balms as part of a recent Thingdrop. I slected the colors Butter Mochi, Croissant au Beurre, and Guava Fresca. Since I spent over a certain amount, they threw in a fabulous Jade Roller for free. I have wanted to try these lip balms for a while, and they are SO beautiful! Definitely did not disappoint. They are moisturizing, lightly scented, beautifully pigmented, and high-quality. Definitely would repurchase.

I’m so glad I gave it a chance, it completely exceeded my expectations. This isn’t just a basic balm; it’s an actual lip treatment and improved the condition of my lips. It has a lovely plush texture that isn’t sticky but remains glossy.
