  • Best sunscreen I've ever used! It has such a lightweight, comfortable formula. I can't stand when sunscreen is difficult to rub in or feels heavy and greasy. This is none of those things! I'm not quite sure why the Mug Guard comes in such a small bottle. The Bod Guard is much larger, cheaper, and just as good! It does have a stronger scent but as someone who is sensitive to fragrances, neither one is bothersome. Also their customer service is great. 10/10!

  • Another great option for sun-protective skincare that went straight to the front of my top shelf of SPF products. The No. 1 reason is the texture and feel of the formulas on my face and body. The Mug Guard has fast become my go-to final layer in my daily routine. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing traditional sunscreen, the texture is so hydrating -- and true to its word at being fragrance-free. Notably, it hasn't bothered my eyes yet (something I've experienced at times using other SPF face products). The great formulation continued for me with the Bod Guard. My skin soaked it right up (in a good way), and it didn't leave me feeling sticky or like I was covered in sunscreen. The scent is more whimsical than present, which I prefer. I definitely detect a hint of "beach day" vibes, but I could also wear this on a regular day out and about in NYC and not feel like I'm going to walk into a store smelling like I was just at the beach. IYKYK. Maybe one of my favorite products so far has been the Lifeguard. I've been in search of an after-sun lotion that makes my skin feel good without feeling goopy, greasy or sticky. This is that product. Dune has so far nailed the overlap in the Venn diagram that is skincare and sun products.

  • Really wonderful sunscreen. I love the light texture and how it's super easy to apply without needing to rub in too much. It's also not oily feeling at all. It doesn't have a strong sunscreeny scent which is nice as well. The only negative thing is that the protective layer on the bottles were a bit hard to remove. I used scissors but still had a hard time completely removing it. But the product itself is great and would highly recommend!

  • I really like this brand... The branding, the ingredients... I have only tried the after-sun, not the SPF yet... But love new & upcoming innovative brands such as Dune!

  • It’s SO NICE to have a sunscreen that doesn’t just smell like coconut! I tried the Dune Sea Salt scent, and it’s actually so lovely. It applies really nicely as well, and actually added a little moisturization too!

  • Dune is a brand that needs more hype!! Went through their trial set, bought two of their bottles twice. Just a great product, price per ounce, and dry down. Only con is I wish all of the products were spf 50.

  • The Dune Mineral Melt sunscreen went on smooth without leaving a white cast behind. The smell isn’t strong at all. It left my skin feeling more hydrated and soft. I like that it’s cruelty free, vegan and non toxic. The package comes in an easy to go tube that I can keep in my purse or beach bag. Works great.

  • Gorgeous brand, that has a whole body range... Don't love all of the ingredients, but understand it is hard to get mineral gel suncare with the most perfect ingredients and no whitecasting. My summer go to

  • One of the better chemical sunscreens I've tried. I love the weird green gel coming out of the retro red and blue bottles. I'm not a fan of some of the (potentially dangerous) active ingredients, but I also recognize that there aren't really any safer alternatives for chemical sunscreens, and Dune seems to be doing the best with the technology available today.

  • I love this stuff so much - CAN I PLEASE WORK FOR THEM. This gel sunscreen is so great. It is ocean safe which we love because lets save the planet. But the gel is so nice when it goes on, the smell isn't horrible and overall, ten outta ten product. Im curious about the mineral sunscreen for sure - but I cannot speak highly enough of this brand. I've already gone through two bottles!

  • Seriously one of the best sunscreens love the texture and how it feels on the skin leaves it hydrated but not oily.

I do wish they offered more than spf 30

  • I bought the mug guard because I came across the brand and really liked their mission. I was not expecting to stumble upon something so life changing! The formula is impeccable - it's the most lightweight, non-greasy, non-white SPF ever. You can even wear it underneath or over makeup.

  • I purchased The Bod Guard at a local shop for a recent vacation and I'm now going to have a very hard time using any other sunscreen. Clocking in at $25, it's certainly not the most affordable option, but it acts like no other sunscreen I've used. It glides on so easily, is cooling, and doesn't leave me with that suncsreen-y feeling. No white cast! I try and stick with mostly unscented products and while this is sea salt scented, it's so mild that the fragrance does not bother me at all. We needed a water resistant sunscreen for the trip and we used the entire bottle. Looking forward to trying sunscreen for face.

  • I ordered this after seeing it on Thingtesting. As a pasty white girl and burn liability, I'm always trying new sunscreens. I really liked this one. Have not burned while using it. ✓ It has a scent like aftershave or cologne (which I really like) and it doesn't linger which is good. It also leaves a nice dewy glow to the skin. The packaging is also beautiful, and doesn't take up too much space.

  • I was excited to try this product because they aren't many gel sunscreen formulas in the US market. I recommend it if you have no other sunscreen around as I do think sunscreen is essential to everyones routine. What I didn't love was the tacky after-feel, it is a gel so its expected but too tacky in my opinion.
