Daily Harvest earns mixed reviews: it excels at convenient, plant-forward smoothies that many find tasty and inspiring for healthier habits, but its savory bowls and some scoops/ice creams often disappoint with bland, gritty, or chalky textures. Reviews also flag small portions and inconsistency across flavors, while praising easy prep, variety, clear ingredients, and manageable subscriptions; several cite a serious past recall and packaging waste as concerns.

  • I like Daily Harvest! I bought it as an impulse buy at 2AM; however, I enjoyed trying the different smoothie flavors out. I enjoy the design, knowing what is in the product, the nutritional values, etc., and that is what ultimately led me to buying Daily Harvest. Some flavors are definitely a miss for me, but enjoyed by my partner (ex. their avocado chocolate smoothie). Some flavors were delicious and I would buy again; however, this was only around 3-4 flavors out of the 10 or so that I bought. I will say this is a good grab and go product if you are ever in a pinch. I definitely reached for these smoothies when I did not have time to cook a whole breakfast.

Not really sure, it is a little pricey; however, this is really good for individuals with busy lifestyles.

  • I enjoyed many of the options provided from most every category they provide. My go to were the harvest bowls, the flatbread, and the snack bites. I am sensitive to ingredients that aren’t organic and I never had issues with the ingredients, however I am sensitive to dairy and because their products are manufactured in a facility that has dairy I found myself getting sick from random items I ate. I had to half my subscription because of it which was heartbreaking because they are so good.

    Feedback

Ideally, manufacturing in a facility that doesn’t include dairy.

  • Oh Daily Harvest. I want to love you — your food is great and you hit the caloric targets my brain can’t think to. But you raise your prices every month and continue to invest in side quests that don’t appeal to your consumers. If I wanted a $13 flatbread I’d walk down the street to the coffee shop or make my own.

Refocus on target customers — assuming largely diet-based or dieting folks. Bring prices down.

  • I tried Daily Harvest because I got a coupon for it in a FabFitFun box. I didn't hate it, but I found the smoothies to be unremarkable. This is not something I'd pay full-price for.

    Feedback

I would prefer more vegetable-forward smoothie blends, and I feel like they could get more creative with functional blends. (Like high-protein, mood booster, fiber for gut health, etc)

  • This is another one that I tried to like so many times but just didn't. I can see how some people would like the flavors of these products, but the smoothie bowls, the soups, etc. just didn't do it for me. I'd rather make my own!

  • Delicious and convenient! Harvest bowls are perfect for days where time is tight, but I still want to fuel my body with nourishing foods.

  • I love it. Subscribe weekly. Smoothies are easy and great.

    More products!

  • I'm an incredibly picky eater, I can tell when someone is trying to make me eat veggies. This just wasn't for me. I know people really enjoy Daily Harvest.

Create options for adults with a ten-year-old palette?

  • It's hard to justify the price of the items when you feel like you can make these things yourself. However, they're great to have stored in the freezer when you're running low on groceries or just in a rush. I wouldn't order it weekly (like they recommend for subscriptions) but maybe ~monthly. Definitely feels more like a treat.

  • LOVED the soups and the grain bowls.

    Feedback

Found the smoothies to be a bit watery and small.

  • Their products are surprisingly tasty. The ingredients are simple and transparent. The packaging is sustainable but does take up a lot of space in your freezer. The delivery was nice. They pack the box with lots of ice packs. Downside: way too expensive, small portions and not filling

  • I really wanted to like this. I've seen ads for this for years and have even had friends try it and love it. I loved the idea of everything being made with fruits and veggies. I finally caved and got a huge box to try as much as possible, and I ended up hating most of it and barely enjoying the rest. The smoothies were unremarkable and seemed to just be things I could mostly make on my own anyway. The bowls weren't great, though my partner liked a couple. I enjoyed the carrot soup, but not enough to keep a subscription up. I think the biggest letdown was the ice cream. They were rock hard, very crystallized (as if they had been defrosted and re-frozen a bunch), and really just not edible. I unsubscribed fairly quickly from this one.

    Feedback

Everything tasted pretty bland. If I knew how to spice things up on my own, maybe I'd give it another shot, but one of the benefits is that it should just be great out of the box. I think they're aware of the ice cream being hit or miss, but if anything, I'd say adding more spices/flavor and working on textures for everything.

  • I've tried really hard to get into Daily Harvest and always struggle to do it. I've tried a bunch of different items (flatbreads, cookie dough bites, bowls, ice cream, etc.) and, unfortunately, have never been satisfied. I love the mission of the company and don't think it's tooooo unreasonably priced compared to similar options, but just don't love the products, although I wish I did!

  • Daily Harvest is a staple for me and has been for over 5 years. I love how they keep expanding their offerings and refining their packaging and recipes. They often reach out to customers for feedback. They are an incredible base to make eating healthy simple. The smoothies, flatbreads, and bites are the best value, though the lattes are a nice treat to have in the freezer. The best of modern convenience food.

Keep on improving, iterating, and refining!

  • Products were delivered in tact, still frozen, and tasted great. Great flavor combinations and lots of options.

  • I got Daily Harvest after I had my first baby. I wanted to try to lose some weight, get healthier and eat better food. It was good but I found myself getting bored with the options. I mostly went for the smoothies and they were easy to make. Easier than getting all the ingredients yourself.

  • I always really enjoyed the smoothies. The more meal-like products could definitely be hit or miss though. Everything was very easy to make though and helped save time!

  • Wanted to like it, but food was untasty; felt like I had to force myself to make it through my order each week. Convenience high, but ultimately not worth it.

  • We had a subscription for several months and after a while, I began to notice that the portion sizes of the meals (in the bowls) seemed to be shrinking. My husband was needing to add more food to make sure he didn't go hungry after lunch and we realized that it defeats the purpose of having "convenience" food delivered at such a high price. I also thought they lacked in flavor unless we doused with plenty of extra hot sauce or seasoning.

    Feedback

Really wanted to love this company and if they ever bulk up their food portions, would definitely consider trying again. We did have several orders that arrived with the packaging seal not intact, and the company was relatively quick to refund/resend the orders.

  • Some of their smoothies are great, but I am not really a fan of their savory products or ice cream. The taste is bland and doesn't feel like it's worth the price. The ice cream was horrible and I had to throw it out.
