  • Convenient, time-saving preparation
  • Clean, transparent ingredients
  • Varied, evolving menu
  • Attractive, functional packaging
  • Inconsistent, bland savory flavors
  • Small, unsatisfying portions
  • Gritty or chalky textures
  • Notably wasteful packaging

Daily Harvest earns mixed reviews: it excels at convenient, plant-forward smoothies that many find tasty and inspiring for healthier habits, but its savory bowls and some scoops/ice creams often disappoint with bland, gritty, or chalky textures. Reviews also flag small portions and inconsistency across flavors, while praising easy prep, variety, clear ingredients, and manageable subscriptions; several cite a serious past recall and packaging waste as concerns.

  • There are some things I really like from Daily Harvest, like the energy bites and the smoothies. Others, like the grain bowls and flatbreads, I just didn't really enjoy – harder to justify the price.

Maybe more variety?? And some flavor improvements

  • The flavor and textures were a bit off for me. Personally didn't like grittiness that some of the items had.

    Feedback

Did not like the ice cream. I ordered black sesame and chocolate with avocado. The black sesame texture was weird and didn't have that creaminess I was looking for. Chocolate was creamier but didn't taste good. Also felt the pricing wasn't worth it for the portions.

  • I love their smoothies!

    Feedback

Some smoothies are chunky (mostly the chocolate ones)

  • I loved how easy it was to make everything. But it’s super expensive and the food isn’t that great. It lacks a lot of flavor and it’s not very filling.

    Feedback

The smoothies were great, but the food needs improvement. Lacks a lot of flavouring and the prices are so high.

  • The smoothies taste great!

    Feedback

I wish they had a couple more “normal” flavors. Sometimes I just wanted something a bit more simple.

  • A good variety of options to choose from. Think I tried almost every item and enjoyed most. Good healthy option for a quick light meal or snack.

    Feedback

    A little expensive

  • I tried Daily Harvest for one month and immediately cancelled after. I love smoothies, and wanted an easy solution for in-home smoothies so I could have a wider variety to choose from to help me from spending so much from foodservice smoothies. The Daily Harvest items were just eh.... nothing terrible but nothing great. I didn't look forward to them, and 1/2 of them I just hated the flavor (or lack there of). They're too expensive for what they are. I also added a few food items to my monthly subscription and couldn't finish a single one of those items. I love healthy food... and these were just not it. I will give them credit for their ice cream though. I still think about it... and may just get a subscription just to have that in-stock in my freezer. The ice cream was the only product worth the price.

  • I really like daily harvest at first. The smoothies were nice and I liked some of the bowls. Felt like they were a nice, low calorie, filling option to have on hand for a quick lunch or snack.

    Feedback

The subscription was kind of rough - I kept getting surprised by shipments and they sent me waaaay too much. There wasn't an easy way to get less daily harvest or pause indefinitely, so they lost me.

  • I love to cook, but with a busy life sometimes eating healthy can be too time consuming from scratch. I love the bowls and often add a little protein to make a full meal. I always cook them on the stove vs. microwave. The DH mission is fantastic and I love how easy managing my subscription is.

    Feedback

Sometimes the bowls are a little under-seasoned but nothing a little salt or hot sauce can't help.

  • I really wanted to love Daily Harvest! I tried the smoothies and soups; I didn’t love the smoothies and didn’t find they did more for me vs. making my own. I found the soups to be overly salty and have found better alternatives for instant, frozen, or ready made soups.

  • Loved the smoothies. Didn't love the savory bowls. I think daily harvest is very convenient, but I do find it pricey... now that I am working form home i'd rather make the smoothies in my house, since I have more time and all the tools i need handy.

  • I subscribed when DH was smoothies, soups, lattes, and little harvest bowls. I loved it for quick lunches, but quickly got tired of it and the cups started to stack up in my freezer. The food is excellent, but I think the stagnant feeling was more a personal problem than a brand problem. It was easy to pause and cancel my subscription.

    Feedback

More protien. A little cup didn't fill me up for lunch.

  • The food is truly good. Great for work lunches and quick breakfasts. A bit on the expensive side, but this food is ready to eat. I found with the subscription that the food started to pile up.

  • The reviews at THINGTESTING seem fair. Daily Harvest does not cater to best flavors or anything that people expect. They are using whole foods and no additives and just like what you cook yourself sometimes the flavors are not there... but oh when they are! There is nothing better. Yes its pricey but at least there is a decent reason. Also they have offers to help and provide great customer service. The less ingredients the less chance you are ingesting something harmful. Investing in preserving that idea instead of taking chances with "convenience' is the better price to pay.

  • I love their stuff. I started w just the smoothies but lately have been into the flatbreads and their side dishes as well. I have found this is a great way to get my kids eating extra veggies.

  • great product, love the shakes. the soups were underwhelming. the shakes were convenient and easy to make and drink.

  • I used to like some of their items, but then they had a very poorly handled recall. I had the recalled item in my freezer and it took them months to notify people of the potential danger. A lot of people that ate the product were hospitalized and had organ failure. I'm disappointed in the ethics of this company.

    Feedback

The product itself was a means to an end and nothing to rave about. The portions shrunk and the price increased.

  • I wish I could return all of it. The food wasn't flavorful or enjoyable. I had to add cinnamon and a bit of sugar to the oatmeal for it to be palatable. The smoothies had weird ingredients I wouldn't have placed together. The grain bowls weren't seasoned. The food was void of any flavor or soul. I really wish someone would create vegan food that tasted good & was enjoyable because this wasn't.

    Feedback

The food needed not just to be vegan. It needed to be flavorful & enjoyable to eat. It wasn't.

  • I liked the concept, but the taste of the smoothies didn't seem worth the price.

  • I enjoyed the ease of this companys products. I was excited to have an easy and healthy breakfast on the go. All of the smoothies have have fresh and nutritious fruits and veggies in them however they are not as sweet as I expected. I know healthy isnt always going to be the best tasting, however with the amount of fruit in them I was assuming that they would be fruiter. Many of the smoothies didnt have that much taste to them either unless it had bananas in them which was the only fruit I could really taste.

    Feedback

Adding more taste to the smoothies such as adding natural sugars like monk fruit or stevia.
