Daily Harvest earns mixed reviews: it excels at convenient, plant-forward smoothies that many find tasty and inspiring for healthier habits, but its savory bowls and some scoops/ice creams often disappoint with bland, gritty, or chalky textures. Reviews also flag small portions and inconsistency across flavors, while praising easy prep, variety, clear ingredients, and manageable subscriptions; several cite a serious past recall and packaging waste as concerns.

I love the convenience element of Daily Harvest. It's appealing to me to have some healthy options in the freezer for days when I just don't have the time. Their branding is spot on, in my opinion, and I've enjoyed the flavors of all of the bowls, flatbreads, and chia bowls I've tried.

Maybe I'm just a hungry person, but I didn't find the savory bowls to be filling enough — I found myself adding an egg, tofu, or some other form of vegetarian protein to them. For the price I'm paying, I wish I was getting a little more.
Tasty and easy prep. I cooked the pasta in the microwave as recommended and it ended up cooking really well. The sauce tasted great. I couldn't tell that the pasta was gluten free, usually they're pretty grainy.
I tried the pesto pasta as well as the sweet potato and avocado bowl. I thought both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and hearty. The branding is sleek and has a good look. I do think they prices are quite high.

Their frozen meals are tasty and flavorful, and I have not been disappointed with any of the meals I have tried. The downsides are their products are quite expensive for the small portion size and not very filling.

Daily Harvest's frozen entrée left me hungry and disappointed—it’s a tiny, bland portion at a premium price. The flavors are underwhelming and the serving size is more of a side dish than a satisfying meal. Not worth it if you're actually hungry.

I was impressed by the flavor, texture, and general quality of this frozen meal. The ingredients are simple, it’s packed with veggies, it really tastes like a home cooked meal. I heated it on the stovetop and was pleasantly surprised that the pasta didn’t become mushy or gummy. One package could serve one person for a meal or two people with a side dish to fill it out. The only thing I would add is an additional source of protein to make it a bit more satiating. I don’t typically buy frozen meals because it is not as cost effective for me, and I enjoy cooking. But for someone who has the budget and wants a fresh option, this pasta issue worth a try.
I intially ordered a box of these online when I was staying at a hotel for work. I thought they would be easy to make for a healthy meal. Unfortunately, they were all very bland.

Dairy Harvest makes a good smoothie with fresh, tasty ingredients, but honestly, it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. It’s nice as a treat, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price every time. Still enjoyable though!
They have a blueberry chocolate smoothie and I have to say it is very delicious. I can only say I really enjoyed that one out of all the flavors I have tried. I do wish that you didn’t have to buy so many and you could buy maybe like six at a time rather than a 12 pack and stuff
I recently tried Daily Harvest, and I’m really impressed! The convenience of having nutritious, ready-to-blend smoothies and heat-and-eat meals delivered right to my door is a game changer. Each item I've tried is packed with flavor and made from wholesome ingredients, which makes me feel good about what I’m eating. The variety keeps things interesting, too—there’s always something new to try! While the price might be a bit higher than grocery store options, the quality and convenience make it worth it. Perfect for busy mornings or when I don’t feel like cooking. Highly recommend giving it a shot!
I bought a couple of bowls one day when they were on sale and they quickly became a fixture in my freezer. Really good flavor, nutritionally dense. I love eating them as a side to my protein rather than a main dish when I don’t have the time to cook a full meal.
Extremely poor experience. I only ordered them once, but the entire order was opened. Every single vacuum sealed item. There is no way that it happened purely accidentally and I was absolutely appalled it left the factory like that! Customer service made me “prove” it to get my refund and didn’t offer anything to apologize for the quality in terms of free product or even words (they defended their quality assurance team.) Never got to try any of the food given the horrible packaging making it a food safety issue, but frankly, the stuff didn’t look all that good for the price.

Lots of packaging and didn't taste amazing. Also website/purchase process was a little confusing...

I have been on Daily Harvest for about a year now and still love the product. This is regarding their smoothies only. I am lazy at heart and want a ton of variety for my morning smoothies, and Daily Harvest makes it incredibly easy to get my fruits & veggies in every day. They have a good variety of flavors, and the subscription is very easy to manage. I skip weeks whenever I still have smoothies on hand or am traveling. Daily Harvest also sends you a reminder in advance so you can update your box or skip before the ship date. It's pricey per cup, but worth it if you're not great at managing groceries, and want variety.
Portions were very large and hard to store once made. Some of the options were tasty, but other options were not as appealing and the ordering required you to order a large quantity at a time
Smoothies are good, the bowls we tried were not. Tried with a discount. Easy to make.

The best-prepackaged smoothie company around! I have been purchasing from them for about 7 years now, and I've loved it so far. I like the conveniences of it because it helps when I'm counting calories! and it cuts out all the extra work of buying frozen bags of various fruits and making sure I;m achieving my goals correctly. I have also tried other items such as their flatbreads etc. but I didn't find anything tasty enough to try again. I did stop purchasing for a while when the contaminated lentil thing happened but luckily the smoothies werent affected.
Had a subscription for a few months, receiving ~3 boxes total. I tried out the smoothies, flatbreads, oatmeal, and bowls, and overall just felt pretty underwhelmed at what I was getting for the price. The smoothies ranged from ok to good, but I can make better with frozen fruits on my own. I did not care for the bowls I tried, and the flatbreads tasted good but were usually a bit mushy and didn't crisp up well enough for me. The interface with the app was really good and it was overall easy to manage the subscription and shipments, but in the end, I did not find it worth the price to continue subscribing.

Would have preferred smaller shipments for lower prices - the products took up too much freezer space at a time, especially as it took a while to get through everything. Overall the focus seems to be on hyped (expensive) ingredients rather than overall flavor and texture of the products.

Just not for me, while I still think what Daily Harvest is doing is fantastic and I know so many people who absolutely love the company. I didn't find them all that tasty, and while I recognize they have some super healthy options, I just can't justify the price.
I always used DH for their smoothies because they were so easy to pop into the blender. I branched out to the harvest bowls, ice cream, and the flatbread and yiiikes that wasn't the move. The smoothies are great, the chia/overnight oats are fine, but nothing to write home about, and anything savory made me feel like a hamster -- never full or satisfied. Naturally, with the whole drama, I cancelled my membership, no smoothie is worth ending up in the hospital, but it was tasty while it lasted.
Feedback
The mechanism that DH uses to keep things frozen is asking for a lawsuit (a different one) it's just dry ice in an open plastic bag that I almost touched. There's gotta be a better way that isn't potentially really dangerous! And managing my subscription was a pain in the butt! SO painful -- the UX was just not there.
