Reviews mention

  • Buttery leather craftsmanship
  • Minimalist, timeless aesthetics
  • Chic, functional organization
  • Long‑lasting everyday durability
  • Peeling interior linings
  • Bulky, heavy bag organizers
  • Too‑short shoulder straps
  • Inconsistent color accuracy

Cuyana earns strong reviews for exceptionally durable, soft leather and minimalist, polished designs that function for work and travel, with standouts like the System Tote, Classic Zipper Tote, travel cosmetic cases, and alpaca pieces proving long‑wearing and chic. Reviews also flag weaknesses—interior linings that can peel, organizers adding weight and bulk, occasional strap length and structure issues, color variance, and a few reports of product wear and broken hardware—making the brand compelling for quality leather essentials but with durability and design caveats to consider.

  • obsessed with the leather quality on these bags, mine has held up for years with minimal wear. the organization system is great to have it be more structured at times. the double handle options keep it super versatile as well.

  • Cuyana is classic. I have purchased one pair of Ponte Leggings from them, two totes, and two pouches. The leggings are ponte material that are great in all scenarios; work, running errands, with a casual oversized tee etc... They have an amazing back seam down the back that elevate the pant. I love the small cut out detail on the bottom. I would recommend these pants, my only wish is that Cuyana made a higher waisted version as well. Although $148 for a legging is steep, I have had them for 6 years and through many washes, they have held up. The Easy Tote I have in caramel, it is a work horse and can hold a lot for travel. I love that it is open so things are easy to access. The leather is very soft and has held up with hundreds of flights and millions of rides to work. The Classic Easy Zipper tote i own in black and purposely bought it due to the zipper for travel, this way if shoved under a seat in front of me, I did not need to worry about items falling out. I also bought the insert organizer for this tote but realize I use it more without it, would opt against it. You can fit more in it without it.

  • Super cute products! I bought the tall zip tote from their resale site for a great price. Then I wanted the organizer which I ordered directly from their site. It fits well in the bag but does add some weight. I’m excited to start using it for work and think it’ll fit everything nicely!

  • Cuyana is really high quality in my experience. The travel case set that I have includes two pieces, one that I use as a small pouch in my work bag, and the larger one I use as a makeup bag when traveling. Both have held up really well.

  • I love the sleek design and minimalist branding the company has. I purchased a large jewelry travel case and love it! It is great for travel and housing my valuable jewelry in my tiny apartment!

  • I love my Cuyana System Tote. It is a versatile and high quality bag that I use all the time. Beautifully crafted leather and overall super stylish design. I love this brand and would 100% recommend.

  • Everything I have from Cuyana is pre-2015, so I can't speak for their current quality but overall their products have lasted the test of time. I have their shoulder tote with the organizer, passport case, the alpaca infinity scarf, and alpaca cape. I am a big advocate for the organizer if you have one of their totes (I love pockets!) even though it does add some bulk and weight to the bag. I honestly haven't thought about this brand in a long time and would check out their other leather products that look smooth as opposed to the pebbled leather they first introduced. The alpaca products from back then have also held up really well over time - I still have both and they feel soft as ever with extremely minimal pilling. I used to have one of their pre-2015 saddle bags with a rotating clasp which broke off (so sad!) and at the time there was nothing they could do to fix it, which was a bummer, but they gave me store credit.

  • Got gifted a crossbody bag as a gift, love the quality and practicality of it. I went to the store to get it monogrammed and the service was great, not to mention a pretty showroom. Leather is soft but durable and high quality, definitely would repurchase again.

  • Review after 5 years: I’ve used the Cuyana tote bag and backpack since 2018 (5 years to date). The bags were beautiful and in good condition at the beginning, but their interior leather began to peel off after a few years. Honestly I would have expected them to be more durable and last longer. Sadly both bags become unusable by now, as the peeled off “leather dust” would stick all over my belongings. In short, great look, mediocre durability.

  • Well-made leather goods overall in classic, minimal, timeless shapes. Over the years, I've purchased their tote, wallet and crossbody - and they've all held up quite well. Would recommend as an investment-type of purchase for a leather basic.

  • Love the concept and aesthetics of this minimalist brand, however the products I purchased: two make up bags and a bucket bag, did not wear well over time and disintegrated literally. I would not buy their products again.

  • Cuyana’s leather bags and accessories feel like that rare mix of polished and practical that actually works for everyday life. The designs are simple and minimal, so they go with pretty much anything, and they don’t scream “trendy,” which makes them feel like pieces you’ll keep for years. The leather itself feels soft but sturdy, with a nice weight that makes the bags feel more expensive than many mid-range options. Over time, the leather breaks in without looking beat up, and my bag has held its shape and stitching well with regular use. What stands out most day to day is how comfortable it is to carry and how easy they are to live with. The matching straps and pouches are genuinely useful—being able to swap a strap or drop a pouch into different bags makes everything feel more organized and versatile. If you value simple design, quality leather, and a more responsible production story, Cuyana is worth the investment.

  • A starless response would pale in comparison. I have written more than 20 emails with perhaps 5 automated replies to inform me someone relevant would respond within 24 hours - i never get one. Yet I do get promotion EDMs on a daily basis. I wonder what time frame they are on, and what system is being utilised. I am not their customer simply because i have made 14 purchases, all of which are confirmed and cancelled within 1 minute of each other. Nobody is resolving the issue - the bank on my end already white listed me so the issue is clearly not mine. I have had NO issues with any other brand’s payment system. i carted out 2-3 items each and every single time; 14 times!!! I have written through facebook, instagram and email. Quite clearly, they are uninterested in my business. This is the worst experience I have had with a brand. Fast fashion brands or supermarkets have better service than this. Im appalled and very disappointed. It has been almost a month. Ps. I have no photo of the item to show because the orders weren’t successful.

  • Perfect leather accessories. I have the cosmetic case in two sizes and it’s perfect to use for short trips or long trips. The leather quality is top notch. Great for yourself or for a gift for someone special.

  • This is my mom's favorite store & for good reason. It is on the pricier side, but it is top quality products. Their leather bags are so buttery soft, & their cashmere sweaters are some of the softest I've ever felt. They've mastered the high-end basics that would be good for moms or for work uniforms.

  • I love me a high-quality essentials brand that doesn't put a logo on their products. I've used their leather cardholder for about 3 years now and it's held up quite nicely! My cards still feel secure and though of course the cardholder has relaxed a little bit to accommodate the cards, it doesn't look worn out.

  • Everything I own from cuyana is a dream. Their products are super high quality and timeless. I live thstrhe branding is minimal and their focus is on quality and function. Ive got my eye on their weekender bag!

  • Very high quality leather. I love the makeup pouches myself and they also make great gifts.

  • Bought 3 bags from this brand as a gift for a friend. I love that the colors of the bags can be matched between the different bag styles! It makes for a beautiful and wonderfully color-coordinated gift set.
