Crazy they charge $7.99 extra for an e gift card. It cost them more to make and ship the plastic gift cards into the store. Sending an e gift card to an email cost them nothing.
This brand was something I loved so much when I was a kid, and I still think it's good today. Everything from the brand is expensive, but it's good for celebrating special occasions with something that will last. I've had over 20 stuffed animals from them over my years, and they do hold up well. I've never had any issues with them.
My partner and I have been long distance for two of the almost three years we’ve been dating, and for our first anniversary before we started long distance they got me a Build-a-Bear. It’s a little red panda and I love it so much— they’re my favorite animal! Though it came to me pre-made, I look back fondly on going to the store as a kid and making toys of my own. I think part of the joy of BaB is in creating it, and I find it much more suitable for younger kids. Still, I love my little red panda and think it makes a sweet gift for children and loved ones in long distance relationships. There’s also a nice variety of animals to choose from!

I am a grown ass adult and I love Build a Bear. Costs more than a regular teddy bear but it's the unique experience you're paying for I guess. There's just something about choosing, stuffing, dressing and naming a bear, and getting a certificate. Though I am autistic, so that may have something to do with my excitement and enjoyment about stuffed animals.
Build-a-Bear is such a fun experience to do with little kids. The child can pick out a bear, dog, bunny, or other animal plush, then pick from a wide range of outfits and accessories to customize their new pal. Even better, if you are ever at Disney Springs at Disney World, stop by the T-Rex restaurant gift shop and visit Build-a-Bear's "Build-a-Dino" option!
Build a Bear is such a fun place to take little ones. The entire experience is well thought out & curated for a good time. It's on the pricier side, but it will be something that they can keep for years to come. It's a super cute spot to take someone for their birthday!
I ordered a build-a-bear over the pandemic for my little cousin when we couldn't go to the in-person store. They have so many choices and options which I love, and shipping was fast and easy. The only disappointing thing was that I thought we would get to "build" our stuffed animal, including putting the heart and stuffing in. Unfortunately when it came it was just a normal stuffed animal. Not a big deal, but definitely not what we were wanting!
I won’t lie I have been and made a build a bear in the last year. It’s for adults too! I would NOT go w your significant, in the event you break things off your “bear” will be a sad memory and neglected. I def recommend going w your friends or for a fun friend date idea!
Nice idea to have customizable plush toys. It's a little bit on the expensive side so surely not worth it for everyone, but the experience is cool and the options are plentiful.
