BIRKENSTOCK earns strong reviews for comfort and longevity: the contoured cork footbed molds to feet, offers solid arch support, and many pairs last years, even through daily wear. Reviews also flag drawbacks—tough break‑in with blisters for some, sizing can run wide or confusing, footbed imprints and odor in heat, water can damage cork, and several cite faster‑wearing soles or recent durability concerns.

  • I have birkenstocks that have lasted years. Highly durable and functional. Good arch support.

  • I've been wearing Birkenstocks since I was about 5 years old. I love to see that they have managed to stay relevant and evolved their brand in a meaningful way. The quality is as good or better as I remember and although they are slightly pricer they will last through multiple beach seasons.

  • Birkenstocks are their own kind of shoes. I love every pair of Birks I get because of their uniqueness. They last forever

  • I love Birkenstocks and have been a loyal wearer since middle school. In particular, I've worn my 2-strap sandals on long walks for nearly 6 months out of the year since COVID-19 started. They're very versatile and have held up to thousands of miles of walking.

  • I absolutely love my Birks! They hold up from year to year and seem to never go out of style. I have several pairs and at the end of the season I put them away for next season. I think I've had my current ones for about 5 years now.

  • Classic! Birkenstock shoes redefine the meaning of comfort. The moment you slip your feet into these iconic sandals, you understand why they've become a classic. The contoured footbed provides unparalleled support, molding to the unique shape of your feet over time. It's like walking on a cloud, and the arch support is a game-changer for those who crave both style and wellness. The durable materials ensure longevity, making them a wise investment. While the design might not suit everyone's taste, the sheer comfort and health benefits make Birkenstocks a staple for anyone seeking a perfect blend of style and foot-friendly functionality. Walk a mile in these, and you'll never look back!

  • Best comfiest summer shoes (despite the painful break in period) and then even with heavy wear mine last for years

  • Long lasting slides with great arch support.

  • Good quality but difficult to locate repairers who are certified to take care of making them last for more than two seasons.

  • The comfiest and most convenient shoes to exist. I love how timeless and durable they are.

  • I have owned 3 pairs of Birkenstocks - they are some of the best shoes I've ever owned! A lot of us wore the classic clog in middle school (where my 30 year olds at!?) so our love for the brand started early. These shoes are well made and effective at helping you have a more comfortable shoe bed. I will wear birks til I'm dead :)

  • I'm a Birkenstock fan for life. I bought my first pair (the suede arizona sandal with arch support) in 2013 ahead of a 6 month backpacking trip, and they took a few months to break in and form around my feet. I was so glad I had them on that trip, and they didn't cause any blisters on that trip after the original break-in period, even though I was walking many miles in them every day for six months. I've had the same pair this whole time, making them over a decade old now, and they're still in great shape! No issues with the sole at all, and the arch support is shockingly still decent. I've added some new holes to the straps over the years as the suede straps have stretched gradually, which has been a sufficient fix, but just this past summer, I noticed my feet sliding a bit too much (causing blisters for the first time since breaking them in) so I think it might finally be time for a new pair - 10 years later!! It's sadly so uncommon these days to find a product that lasts more than a few years, but Birkenstock is the exception and truly a brand of quality goods. A great investment and sustainable purchase.

  • I have been wearing Birkenstocks for 30 plus years. The level of comfort is beyond words. They are worn by every age group in my family ....... from 60 to 1 yo...... even fashion conscious teenagers. We own many different styles. The durability compares to no others. I have sandals I have had for 20 years - even though they are showing their age (they possibly have aged better than me) it is hard to part with them as they still have life in them and they are so perfectly molded to my feet.

  • All day, everyday. I wear nothing else in the summer and even rock them with socks into the fall. Comfy af.

  • I've worn Birks for decades and won't stop now! I love how many new designs they've come out with over the years, and they reman my most comfortable shoe that stands the test of time. Summer staple for the rest of my life, probably.

  • I like their sandals. I have found them to be less comfortable than I feel like most people say but they aren’t uncomfortable necessarily, just not as comfy as some people say

  • LOVE this brand, mission, sustainability, quality, comfort. Most recently have the boston clogs and they are SO worth the money!

  • Had a pair of classic arizona sandals for years until my puppy ate them. Good all-round (summer) shoe. Pairs well with most outfits. Only bad thing is that they feel rough when wet, like when I'm at the beach, it feels almost like sandpaper. And sometimes, the inside would give me blisters on the insides of my feet after wearing for a long time.

  • I’ve had one pair for several years now and it’s been worth the money. Even with cleaning it several times, the footbed still maintains its comfort.

  • I’ve had the sandals and the Boston’s and both have held up for years. I wear my Boston’s every day and they are still as good as new and get compliments all the time.
