Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I wanted to like this pasta but it just isn’t the best. The only time it taste good it when it’s fresh and does not reheat well. It’s very easy to overcook and can not be used for meal prep or pasta salads.

  • My kids can’t tell this isn’t normal pasta but my husband can. But I cook it up for the kids. It doesn’t have the same taste / consistency as normal pasta but hey, if the kids like it and it’s a healthier alternative, I’m game. I get this at Costco

  • Banza is a solid meh from me! The pastas are pretty good considering they're not pasta, but they are kind of a mess to make and I find you have to really undercook them to get the right texture. I have to stand next to the pot the entire time I cook the pasta because of the foam! I have to blow on the pot every 2 seconds so I don't make a huge mess on my cooktop which is kind of annoying.

  • Great pasta replacement but not easy on the stomach. Love the pizza for a quick solution!

  • I feel extra healthy eating this - love the protein and how heavy it is. It helps me eat less and keep my blood sugar low and healthy.

  • Not my favorite pasta. Has a very strange texture to it.

  • A good gluten free alternative with a nice taste that is definitely not pasta you’re used to. It can get clumpy and stick together if you overcook, so have to follow directions carefully!

  • It's decent, if you can get past the texture. You have to watch it closely when cooking it or it overcooks easily. My kids like it though!

  • I purchased this just to try something new. Was great tasting. I have nothing bad to say.

  • These are great for a protein rich pasta . The texture is almost spot on with regular pasta and your Family won’t know the difference

  • I really loved the texture and taste :) would but again!!

  • Good alternative if you need to be gluten free or are upping protein. Have their own flavor so while they go well with sauce they aren’t a 1:1 replacement for wheat pasta.

  • Great pasta for when I am looking to eat a little healthier.

  • Great protein option. It does not taste as great as regular pasta but when you are craving pasta and want to get protein in, Its a good choice.

  • A good pasta alternative, can tell the difference in texture but one of the better taste options out there.

  • Banza is a great alternative to pasta. It has a great texture and flavor that is unnoticeably different than regular pasta. The reason for 4 starts and not 5 is that the cooking is difficult because of all the foam. I like Banza if you are looking for a GF alternative, but personally I prefer gluten pasta.

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Banza pasta has completely transformed my pasta game! Not only does it taste delicious, with a texture that rivals traditional pasta, but it's also packed with protein and fiber, making it a healthier option. I love that Banza is made from chickpeas, providing a nutritious alternative to traditional wheat-based pasta. Plus, it cooks up perfectly al dente every time, holding sauce beautifully. As someone who is health-conscious and values flavor, Banza has become a staple in my pantry. Whether I'm enjoying a classic spaghetti dish or getting creative with macaroni and cheese, Banza never disappoints. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their pasta experience!
