Whereafter earns positive reviews for a sensorial, gentle body cleanser that lathers well, cleans without stripping, and often leaves skin soft and hydrated; however, reviews note mixed scent preferences, subtle-to-short scent longevity post-shower, and occasional underwhelming skin-softening effects. The brand’s standout fragrances—3 Nights in Madrid (Bergamot, Black Tea, Cedarwood) and Note to Summer ’16 (Mandarin Rind, Jasmine, Fig)—win praise, while some wish for stronger or more distinctive scent carry and complementary leave-on products.

I've tried both scents in the Sensorial Body Cleanser Duo and 3 Nights in Madrid is a standout — the bergamot and cedarwood blend is beautiful. Note to Summer '16 wasn't quite my thing scent-wise, but the formula itself is the real win here. I have pretty sensitive skin and have had reactions to a lot of body washes, and this one has been completely gentle. Skin feels soft and hydrated after every use, never tight or stripped. Really impressed with the quality of the ingredients.

I bought the Sensorial Body Cleanser Duo. One is called 3 nights in Madrid. The other is called Note to summer '16. Both fragrances spell fresh. Very smooth to the touch. The bottles come in a nice size of 16.9 oz. They are made with all natural ingredients. It is scented with Essential oils and botanical extract. Ingredients for hydrating the skin. It is on the high end for pricing but love the natural ingredients and scents. I would recommend.

The sensorial experience of Whereafter body cleanser is just w o w! While this might not be the choice for someone who is always on the go, rushing through a quick shower just to get out the door, it is absolute perfection for those of us who are big on our self-care routines. Luxurious yet affordable enough for daily showering, the thicker consistency of the body cleanser is incredibly moisturizing and lathers up really nicely. 3 nights in madrid: Bergamot • Black Tea • Cedarwood note to summer '16: Mandarin Rind • Jasmine • Fig After using both bottles nearly to the last drops, I have thoroughly enjoyed both scents. The scent notes are intense during a hot, steamy shower, yet remain gently subtle afterward so they complement all the other products I use. My personal take is that both scents work for PM showers but I do prefer the 3 nights in madrid for AM showers. As someone who hasn't been to Madrid and can't quite complexly capture the exact scents of past summers, I do have one thought on the aesthetic: the branding colors feel like they should be switched where summer '16 is the soft butter yellow and 3 nights in madrid is in the pale gray. Overall, Whereafter is definitely a niche brand for people who want a clean, naturally scented body cleanser that turns a shower into a total sensory experience. I happen to be that exact niche consumer! Will be restocking on the duo!

I really enjoyed this body wash mainly due to the consistency of the wash itself and the scent. The scent is not too overpowering but still makes you feel fresh and has a light lasting effect. The formula of the wash itself is very bubbly / moisturizing. One pump goes a long way which helped this last for over 2 months for my household of 2.

This is a really lovely body wash formulation. It lathered beautify, both scents smelled wonderful, and it left my skin feeling clean and soft without stilcky feeling some drugstore body washes can leave behind. But it is terribly expensive for a body wash. If you can buy it on sale I definitely recommend, but I would hesitate for full price.

As much as I love Three Nights in Madrid, I knew I had to try Whereafter’s new scent, Note to Summer ‘16. This is a refreshing scent that smells like summers at the lake. I will stock the lake house with this one for my guest as well as my home for my summer body wash. I won’t give up my Three Nights in Madrid- it will be back on my shower shelf this fall. NOTE TO WHEREAFTER: please make a matching perfume or cologne! I’m Obsessed!

Love the packaging and the size of the bottle for the price. It doesn't lather as much as I'd like but the formula is super hydrating and leaves my skin soft. I like the scent but it is super powerful when first coming out of the bottle. It doesn't leave my skin smelling super strong which is nice.

Both of the scents of the body cleaner (3 Nights in Madrid and Note to Summer '16) are really wonderful and unique. The lather is also fantastic. I don't think it is making a difference in my skin softness though, and the scent does not really persist after the shower. It's a little more than I'd like to spend for a product like this, though it is a good size bottle.

The soap smells so good! It lathers well, and you can smell it on your body after you're dry. I didn't notice a difference in how hydrated my skin felt afterwards, but I always apply body lotion anyway. It is a bit more expensive than I would usually spend on body wash, but I would love to see them release more products that you leave on your body so you can enjoy them longer.

This was a blind buy and I was excited for the fragrance that everybody seems to love, but it's just a-ok for me. I was excited for the black tea and bergamot, but turns out maybe not the biggest fan of cedarwood. That's my own preference - it's not so offensive I won't finish it. It's a good size bottle and it feels nice, but I think it's pricey and not my favorite body wash. I'm glad I was able to try it but it's not for me.

They’re not kidding, the first ingredients are Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Matricaria Recutita Flower Water, and Glycerin. I love the smell, and the bottle is nice and chunky (not small, which helps with the price). I appreciate the pump feature and the packaging was nice when arrived. I could see myself purchasing this again and I’m excited to see long term benefits from use!

Three Days in Madrid: A Love Affair in the Shower There are good names, and then there are perfect ones. Whereafter, the company name, sets the mood, and then Three Days in Madrid, the body wash, feels like it was named by someone who understands both poetry and skin. The yellow packaging is simple, modern, and feels like spa air bottled in sunshine. But the real magic begins when you open the bottle. The scent is otherworldly in the best possible way. It’s fresh and spa-like without ever feeling loud. You’ll find yourself wishing there were a matching moisturizer just to let the scent live on your skin a little longer. Three Days in Madrid is what happens when function and feeling find perfect balance. This isn’t just another clean, non-toxic body wash, it’s what they call a “sensorial ritual”. Most formulas start with plain water, but Whereafter replaces that with aloe vera juice and chamomile, turning every wash into an intentional act of care. It’s as if aloe finally found its purpose on the planet: to remind us that the simplest things can be quietly transcendent.

The scent is really great, slightly masculine, sophisticated. The soap lathers nicely and leaves the skin feeling hydrated, I’m still using lotion after the shower. The bottle is substantial with a nice matte finish, the color is a great neutral. A little on the pricier side though, comparable to Salt & Stone, etc.

After years of using various body washes, I was looking for something more natural with pleasant scents for my body washes. Randomly found this product and fell in love with how gentle it is on my skin. Whereafter 3 nights in Madrid body cleanser is a luxury body wash that has aloe vera and chamomile. It's gentle on the skin and yet nourishes the skin while properly cleanses it. It doesn't foam up much as others I've tried but I feel the difference in my skin after using it. It has a gentle scent of bergamot, cedarwood, and black tea. It's not overpowering nor dries up my skin. I would love to see other products by this brand with a mix of watermelon or peach and natural ingredients. I've loved this product and would recommend it. Makes an excellent gift for the holidays or someone's birthday!

I hate winter skin. My legs especially get so cracked and dry during the wintertime. I am so happy I picked up this body wash at the start. It feels so nourishing and I love the scent. It lingers a bit without being overpowering. It's a good unisex fragrance, woodsy and a little herbal. I think it's interesting that it uses chamomile hydrosol and aloe vera juice instead of water. It does really help with the moisturizing effects!

Ok, not going to lie, the first couple times I used the body wash, I was a tad bit disappointed in smell. I felt like it wasn’t potent enough but now after using it for a couple of weeks, the fragrance is stronger. Overall, I would purchase again, especially if it is easily sold in a store nearby.

My skin feels so clean, hydrated & smells so fresh after showering with this. I wish they made a body spray or perfume in this scent - Three Nights in Madrid. This scent is better than any designer perfume I own. It’s that’s good!

OMG this smells AMAZING. It's such a good scent, and uplifting but not overpowering. The texture is smooth and it feels so good on skin, washing off clean but leaving moisture behind in a non-cloying way. I am in love with this body wash!
