  • Luxurious lathering texture
  • Gentle, soothing formulation
  • Hydrating, softening finish
  • Elegant, substantial packaging
  • Inconsistent scent longevity
  • Occasionally modest foaming action
  • Polarizing cedarwood notes
  • Limited product assortment

Whereafter earns positive reviews for a sensorial, gentle body cleanser that lathers well, cleans without stripping, and often leaves skin soft and hydrated; however, reviews note mixed scent preferences, subtle-to-short scent longevity post-shower, and occasional underwhelming skin-softening effects. The brand’s standout fragrances—3 Nights in Madrid (Bergamot, Black Tea, Cedarwood) and Note to Summer ’16 (Mandarin Rind, Jasmine, Fig)—win praise, while some wish for stronger or more distinctive scent carry and complementary leave-on products.

  • I really enjoy this product—both the scent and the way my skin feels afterward. Pros 1. It feels amazing to use: smooth, gentle, and lightly minty. With hot water in the shower, it’s honestly a bit magical. 2. My skin feels soft and smooth after using it. 3. I do feel it has some effect in reducing inflammation. 4. The packaging is excellent—probably the best I’ve seen for any shower product, even better than Aesop or Le Labo. Cons 1. I wish the scent were a bit more special. It’s not bad at all, just a bit ordinary. 2. Compared with Aesop and Le Labo, the bottle design could look a little more refined and high-end.

  • I'm growing to really like this stuff! At first I didn't quite understand why a brand would center around a single body wash, but if a brand is going to center around a single body wash, this should be the body wash. I mostly enjoy the lather, bubbly and light, and the scent is great too. Time will tell if I'll buy outside of a Thingdrop, but if I don't I can say I will miss it.

  • Generally, I had a good experience with this brand. Shipping time wasn't fast but was within reason, shipping packaging was thoughtful and not excessive. - Bottle came in a nice box, for that reason it could make a nice gift. Bottle packaging is sturdy, helps promote the idea that this is an upscale brand. - I think the claims their website makes about the moisture and scent lasting is true to an extent, I do catch a whiff of the scent even post shower and my skin feels different than when I use my normal soap, although without that kind of messaging I wouldn't be able to put my finger on it. - In the shower, this lathers up really nicely, better than my off the shelf CVS shower soap and my more high end soaps. - I don't particularly care for is the scent - in the shower it starts off floral with a very woody finish, which is not to my personal tastes. It is a fine smell, it's just not for me. I would consider buying from this brand again once they introduce some new scents. At $35, this would be a once in a while treat myself soap, not an everyday soap.

  • I’m absolutely taken with this product. It feels so luxurious and smells absolutely divine. It literally felt like a lotion while also sudsing and cleaning. While I have semi-sensitive skin, I had no issues with fragrance or ingredients. Will absolutely buy again and highly recommend it! My skin still feels nourished 24 hours later.
