Veja earns strong reviews for chic, versatile sneakers that pair with everything and often last for years, but the brand also draws criticism for stiff break-in, ankle-rubbing tongues, inconsistent comfort and support, and durability issues on certain models. Reviews cite standouts like V-10, Campo, Venturi, Esplar, Rio Branco, and Condor 2 for style and everyday wear, while noting sizing quirks, occasional squeaking, and soles or logos wearing down sooner than expected.

I love the classic look of these sneakers!

I wish they were easier to break in, my ankles always get shredded if I don't wear high enough socks

The plastic materials mean the wear-in time is longer than a leather shoe. Once they’re broken in, they’re super comfortable. Don’t think they last as long/keep the quality as a standard running shoe. Mine lasted less than a year before it became generally unwearable (the glue gave out at the sole). I love the sustainability mission, but not sure that plastic is more eco-friendly than natural materials?
Love the mission and the aesthetic, but wish there were more arch support in the shoes. Super versatile and wide range of styles.

Would love increased arch support in the shoes for greater comfort.
I love my Vejas, I just wish they were more comfortable! Because they're leather with minimal padding on the tongue, it took me a while to fully break them in and had some blisters during the process. I've now had them for two years and they're comfortable, but it took a bit! Super chic to wear out and about.
Love my Vejas - they’re sustainable and stylish, so not sure what more you’d want. Comfort improves over time, but the tongue is painful in the early days - super stiff.
Feedback
Main item is the flexibility of the tongue in the early days, which is stiff and digs in to the skin. That aside they’re a great pair of shoes.
My favorite every day sneaker. Great price point, good quality.

Insole offers no arch support.
My go-to sneaker for all moments of the week. Really love where the sit at the intersection of style and price point.
Love their sneakers! They look so great and fashionable, while also extremely comfortable, I can go for a loooong walk in Veja sneakers without a problem. Love their sustainable sourcing stories too, definitely make me feel better about wearing sneakers...
Love my Vejas! Definitely a cool girl shoe. Comfortable for every day, and love how it's made with raw material and relatively environmentally friendly. Lots of cool styles too. Everyone in Paris is wearing them!
Veja shoes are the cutest, they pair up for any occasion. They classic ones are very uncomfortable tho, they feel rigid and the tongue stabs your foot. The cloth ones are comfortable and cute but they are hard to put on and take off. They are very pretty and affordable tho.
I love my Veja sneakers. They are so comfortable. It feels like you are walking on clouds. Lots of color options and fit true to size.
I am currently on my second pair of Vejas. Reasons why the shoes are great: they look cool (I love the aesthetic), they last a really long time (my first pair lasted me 3 years of excessive wear) and they are produced more sustainably than other shoes out there. You do have to break them in depending on the model, and even after that they might not be the most comfortable pair depending on the shape of your foot - but overall, I am still a fan!
My absolute favorite sneakers. I have 3 pairs and the first ones I got 4 years ago. I’m still wearing them. I love that they all look so chic but are really functional and the colors they use are so nice and tasteful. I wear my old ones in the playground with my daughter and save the new ones for when I want to look a little nicer:)
Absolutely love my v10s. Had them for around 3 years and they're still going strong. I like to wear them when I need a smarter looking sneaker. Not aaas comfortable for all day intense walking, hence the 4 starts. But definitely generally comfortable enough. Easy to keep clean too (important if you like white sneakers but live in a dirty city/wet climate)!
Love their values. Pretty cool brand! Impressive growth.

These sneakers LAST. I've had my first pair for years now, and I've put serious miles on them, and they're still in good wearable shape. Surprisingly comfortable, great style, and good brand values.
these shoes are definitely adorable and well made but gosh are they pricey. I'm scared to wear mine too much bc they were so freaking expensive.

Super nice shoes with a lot of different fun designs but also love the touch of color available in a lot of the versions

if you have a bad back, these sneakers are not for you
The look is really nice, and I appreciate the company’s ethical practices. I have a pair of Campos sneakers, and they’ve become my everyday shoe. I also get a decent amount of compliments considering they’re just white sneakers. If you’re looking for a more ethical/sustainable shoe, this is a good option, especially since they’re fairly easy to find at major retailers. I got mine at REI, and they were actually eligible for a sale at the time.

The insole is fine but not that comfortable. I switched mine out within a couple months for something with more arch support. Also, definitely unlace your shoes before putting them on/taking them off - at least with the Campo shoe. The leather was kinda stiff and took some more effort to unlace than a typical shoe with synthetic materials or one with metal around the holes that facilitate movement/glide, so I got tired of unlacing them. But me slipping them on and off without unlacing them kept bending the back and some small holes in the fabric appeared within the first 2 months of me wearing them.

Bought my first pair in London in 2019 and have been a fan ever since. They go with every outfit and are super comfortable and versatile after you break them in. Love that they also do a vegan leather option for those who are interested. Most sneakers don't require a breaking in, but I think Vejas are worth the extra effort and time to get a perfect, soft fit molded to your foot. The tongue may be a bit scratchy and tough at first, so make sure to wear them with higher cut socks during the breaking in process!
