Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel chocolate
  • Inventive, memorable flavor lineup

  • Ethical, mission-driven sourcing
  • Overly sweet chocolate profiles
  • Thick, hard-to-break pieces
  • Inconsistent caramel texture hardness

Tony’s Chocolonely earns strong reviews for rich, creamy chocolate, inventive flavors like Milk Caramel Sea Salt, Dark Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee, plus mission-driven, fair-trade sourcing. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some bars taste overly sweet or bland to dark‑chocolate loyalists, the thick, uneven pieces are hard to break and share, and concerns appear about heavy metals in certain dark varieties and salt intensity in caramel bars.

  • Delicious chocolate, fun packaging, and a mission statement front and center. Love it!

  • i purchased the six bar sampler pack ... and accidentally ate over half of them. my favorites were the milk chocolate with nougat and milk chocolate alone, so creamy and milky and delicious. the branding is a little loud but the chocolate speaks for itself. and are free-trade made, amazing! my only con is the way that the bar is molded is not optimal for sharing or consuming, some pieces are bigger than others and some cracks do not break as easy. however this does not deter me at all from eating them, just a warning!

  • Call me a Tony's stan but I love this chocolate. Their mission, marketing and taste are *chef's kiss. Just recently, they released limited edition bars in Germany where I live covering Milka, KitKat, Ferrero Rocher and Twix and I couldn't get enough. Sadly, they don't sell these bars anymore and since Germany isn't known for it's variety, whenever I can find the 'pink' bar (raspeberry white chocolate) I go ahead and treat myself. They are a little hard to break into pieces, though and the price well, I guess you do get what you pay for.

  • This bar strikes a delightful balance between creamy indulgence and subtle cocoa depth. The 32% cocoa content ensures a smooth, sweet profile, with hints of caramel and honey that dance on the palate. Unlike overly sugary milk chocolates, Tony’s allows the quality of West African cocoa beans to shine, offering a nuanced richness. The texture is luxuriously velvety, melting effortlessly without graininess, while the signature chunky, uneven segments provide a satisfying snap.

  • This brand makes the best chocolate! I love the mission behind the brand as well. The caramel bar is delicious.

  • Heavenly taste. I love that chocolate and I love it way too much 😅

  • Really great high quality chocolate and unlike a lot of the major brands, they source their cocoa ethically! Lots of unique flavor combos to please both dark and milk chocolate lovers.

  • My cousin told me about this. Love the quality and what they stand for. That means a lot.

  • Toby’s chocolate is rich and creamy! They remind me of Willy wonka bars. The packaging is really fun and the bar is a good amount for what you pay. If you’re a chocolate lover, these definitely hit the spot

  • a great brand! does a lot of work against trafficking and has really great values. the flavors are all very innovative and delicious as well. a bit expensive but worth it when you know where your money is going and what it is helping.

  • I have eaten at least 6 Tony's flavors after a cousin said the brand is her favorite. I love stuff in my ice cream and chocolate, so it makes sense the Everything Bar is my fav...my least fav is the Ben&Jerry's collab Dark Milk Chocolate With Brownie Bar. I didn't like the crunchy bits. But I LOVE Phish Food. They also have white chocolates which is hard to find.

    I bought it myself
  • I love this company's mission — it's unfortunate there are so many ethical issues in the chocolate world and I trust Tony's Chocolonely. They have unique flavors at a great price point and I love the large bars for sharing. Chocolate caramel cookie is my favorite.

  • Love the mission and ethics of this brand. I recently learned more about the seedy underbelly of chocolate production and am glad then when I do splurge on a treat I can trust this brand to be transparent. The flavors range from classic to funky so there is something for everyone to try. The bars are also a very large size so while it is pricy I think it is worth it. Definitely support this brand if you are a chocolate lover!

  • Delicious chocolate with a great variety of different types of chocolate bars. I love the products mission that pays the cocoa farmers a livable wage and they avoid using exploitative child labor unlike some of their competitors. Great product with a great mission!

  • i’ve tried both the milk chocolate with caramel sea salt and the dark chocolate with almond. i’m usually more partial to dark chocolate because milk chocolate tends to be too sweet for me but i LOVED this milk chocolate. it was the right amount of sweetness perfectly balanced with the saltiness. the dark chocolate almond is my new favorite. it has the best crunch from the almond and the dark chocolate isn’t too bitter

  • The chocolate is one of the best I’ve eaten. The flavours are great. The only downside is that you can’t break the bar into a shareable portion.
