Thinx earns polarized reviews: many report it works—comfortable, leak-preventing overnight and on light-to-moderate days with stylish high-waist, boyshort, and thong options—yet significant concerns surface. Reviews cite PFAS scandals, inconsistent sizing and fit, lingering odor, limited absorbency and edge coverage for heavy flow, bulk in higher-absorbency styles, and durability issues like fraying elastics and seams.

Worked very well for me but in one type of the underwear the pads could have gone a little bit higher.
As a concept, these are excellent. Mine worked really well- however, they began to fall apart after about a year of use. I also would call them completely leak proof.

Make sure to pay attention to wash instructions. I would not use these as my sole method of protection, except on very, very light days.
Thinx is such a game-changer. I've saved so much money not having to buy pads or tampons anymore and they're so comfortable. Sometimes I wear them even when I'm not on my period because I just love them that much! My fave styles are the sleepshorts, french cut, and high waist.
Thinx has really changed the period game for me. I'm way more comfortable and way less concerned about any leakage during my time of the month. This product has not completely replaced tampons for me - I mostly use them at night, but will try different styles for daytime use. Saved me tons of $$ on replacing underwear and is a sustainable option.

N/A- wash separately from all other clothes.

Testing has shown there are PFAS on the product, which I don't want in my vagina.
These period underwear are a great alternative for pads and tampons. They come in cute styles and practical styles, and they really work. They are easy to wash and care for and are of high quality construction.
Love my period underwear from Thinx. My period is on the lighter side so this is all I need for the day.

The fit wasn't conducive to all outfits / pantylines showed for some more fitted bottoms.
I love the concept of these and enjoyed them at first but with use the fabric stretched out. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it really is a great concept and alternative to pads and tampons and reusable cups, but they just don't hold up after continued use like I would have hoped. Cleaning is also a bit of a hassle. I have also experienced an offensive odor after making the mistake of putting a pair in the dryer. This brand has been found to have PFA's/ 'forever chemicals' in their product.
I bought these a few years ago. I got the thong and bikini styles. The fit was fine. Both were made of pretty thick material, as expected, but I didn’t expect the material to also have an audible crinkle noise. Every time I moved, I could literally hear my underwear. Because of this, the bulky feeling, and now the PFAs, I never wear these and will probably just throw them away. There are alternate brands that likely feel better and won’t harm you.

The chemicals used, the fabric, and the thickness of the material.

Thinx is the best thing to ever happen to me. Period. Pun intended. Not only is this underwear a more sustainable way to experience your period, but say goodbye to those pesky tampon strings that only get wet and annoying as the day goes by. Thinx products are not bulky like other brands so as you're wearing the underwear, you do not feel like you are wearing a pad or anything super thick. I highly recommend these to girlies with light-medium flow. If you have a heavier flow, make sure to get the thicker options for that such as the boy short, which is so cute, I wear it even when I'm not on my period. If you're thinking about it, do it! They are worth it, I promise.

The sizing can be a bit inconsistent. Sometimes I am a size XS, other times I am a size S. Their customer service was great and sent me another pair that was my actual size and let me keep the pair I already had.
The period products work but could be better, they don’t hold as much liquid as they report (in my opinion) and they still leak.
Feedback
They could do what they say.
This was the first brand of reusable period underwear that I tried and I like them a lot! They have a wide range of sizes and absorbency levels. I never worry about leaks when I wear these. The high-waisted versions are the best!

thinx is really great! i use these for sleeping as it’s a bit uncomfortable to wear a pad at night. i use the boxer brief ones and they are so comfortable. i washed them and hung dry them and they’re in great condition.
They’re really expensive and they have harmful chemicals in their underwear lining which have caused health problems for people!! Do not buy :(
I LOVE the thongs and the underwear for light flow. The underwear or shorts for heavier flow feel too thick and uncomfortable like I'm wearing a diaper, though.
Feedback
Anything made for greater than light flow feels like you're wearing a giant diaper.
The only underwear I use while menstruating. Has been my go-to for the past 5+ years. great quality with no issues.

Be upfront about PFAS use and publish studies on toxicity. Validate menstruating people's negative experiences and take them seriously if they believe Thinx underwear is contributing to their symptoms. Be willing to pay for medical costs due to toxicity from Thinx underwear.
The period underwear is great for monthly use. It holds as much as pads always did.
I have a few pairs of the thong underwear that I got to use as backup for tampons/cup or for days when I was expecting my period and wanted to be prepared. For those specific purposes, I have really loved them. Normal panty liners are obviously more wasteful than these and wearing the thong Thinx is much comfier (esp for work in an office setting) than trying to fit a normal panty liner into thong underwear).
Feedback
Can’t speak for the higher absorbency products at all, but would not wear the thongs as stand-alone protection despite the fact that they’re supposed to hold “one tampon’s worth” of liquid.

I've been using Thinx for over 5 years and they've only gotten better with more styles and better capacity to contain flow. I use Thinx exclusively and recently became a Thinx Leader. Their Thinx Air line can be used for everyday, even when you're not on your period.

Pay attention to how you care for these and follow the instructions to the T.

Love it! Does what it's supposed to do and it's still going strong after a year of wear :)
