Thinx earns polarized reviews: many report it works—comfortable, leak-preventing overnight and on light-to-moderate days with stylish high-waist, boyshort, and thong options—yet significant concerns surface. Reviews cite PFAS scandals, inconsistent sizing and fit, lingering odor, limited absorbency and edge coverage for heavy flow, bulk in higher-absorbency styles, and durability issues like fraying elastics and seams.

Absolutely love using thinx. A revolution in menstrual care.

Mine started leaking after 2-3 uses. Maybe it didn't like being machine washed, but I only washed it as directed so I'm not impressed. The absorbent area is quite small in these panties.

I used to LOVE them (like no joke 10pairs) but I'm so fucking pissed that cancer causing chemicals were found in their materials after they touted them being safe. FUCK YOU GUYS.

I finally bought a couple pairs of thinx on clearance at Target. Glad they only had some that were two sizes bigger than I normally buy, as they fit perfect... The big disappointment is that the lining doesn't cover the whole underwear. There is a big seam across my butt. I also usually leak down my butt crack and these will not help with that.

UGH. Was so excited to try these for ‘stress incontinence”- aka bladder leakage. They are SO big, bulky, and seam-y. I will never wear these. I feel like it’s one step away from an adult diaper. I know. It is. Anyhow, I won’t wear these except with the thickest, least flattering sweatpants, only when no one will see me.

I've been using Thinx for five years, and generally love them. The sizing is small, I'm usually a size Small but am a Large in Thinx. There have been times where they haven't held up (especially post-partum), and are too expensive to keep buying new pairs (I have about 6 on rotation). Overall great for an alternative during your period.

Over time the underwear goes hard / stiff in the gusset area

I couldn't use them for heavy flow. My butt is non-existent so it didn't fit right which made the first point I made worst.
Feedback
Absorbency might be overestimated if you're heavy flow.

If you have money to burn… I bought 3 pairs for my daughter. It turns out I should have ordered the next size larger. When I tried to exchange (not return, but exchange) they told me that because they were on sale (not clearance) they were non-returnable. These things are EXPENSIVE and their customer service doesn’t give a whip about their customers. There are other companies out there with similar products, and perhaps are companies that care about their customers and generating repeat business. I will gladly give them my business but Thinx, you need to “thinx” about the big picture.

It took some time to get used to (I worried a lot about leaking), but it worked alright -- some minor leaks could happen and I can't rely on this solely on the first two days of my cycle, but it works great for days 3-6.

I really enjoy these! They're nice to have when I have a light period day and don't want to wear a pad, especially on days when I'm hiking or out all day.

I think that the idea of period panties is pretty much fantastic. It does solve a very big real-life problem of mine which is wearing very uncomfortable pads during my period. From my experience, the material of the underwear is soft and they are really comfortable to wears especially my thong. After 4 years of using my underwear I had a small tear on one of the pairs I got.

I used to rave about Thinx and recommend them to everyone- lately, there's been some weird/not great headlines about the underwear containing chemicals that mess with your fertility or could cause cancer- try another brand first
Feedback
More clarity in what chemicals the underwear contains and how they're being tested to protect the users

These are a life saver. I hate pads and the thought of these underwear sounded disgusting at first but, in my line of work, I can't just run to the bathroom as needed throughout the day. I started wearing them as a back up but, after you've gotten used to the different absorbency options available, they can be trusted without a tampon as well depending on the day and pair you choose to wear. I've bought additional styles and absorbance options, leggings, training shorts, sleep shorts...I love it all!!! I've saved a ton of money on tampons, reduced waste, felt SO much more confidant in managing leaks and the products are stylish and comfortable. Personally, I feel they're true to size, they do mention ordering a size up if you question it. Washing is a little gross at first but worth the trade off. I haven't just tossed them in the washing machine without rinsing them out first though they do mention that you absolutely can do that. I rinse in the sink or shower, throw them in the wash and lay them out to dry. I've accidentally had some land in the dryer and they're just fine but I imagine it would eventually hurt their longevity if you didn't let them air dry as recommended. I would encourage trying a couple of different absorbency options and styles to find what best fits your body. Give them a chance, you'll be glad you did...might be a little odd at first but you'll love them...no more leaking through your pants at work, the gym, out having fun, on your couch or while you sleep! You get what you pay for, they're worth the price. Don't even get me started on what a life saver these are on vacations...yes!!!

Keep up the awesome work THINX...thank you!!!!

overall good for medium or light days, much more comfortable and breathable than a pad. takes some getting used to if you're a tampon user, but way less bulky than a pad and stays in place much better
Feedback
not great for overnight for the same reasons pads leak overnight - leaks tend to get out around the absorbent area (ie out the back)

Very comfortable. Easy to wash and protects from leaks all throughout the day and even night. Worth the purchase!

Improvement could be more selective colors to wear.

I first loved my Thinx, but then I started developing bacterial vaginosis and I didn’t think twice about it but it’s linked to the time I started wearing Thinx. I really wanted to recommend as I think they’re a great sustainable solution but not anymore. The customer support was great though in sending me free pair when mine ripped.

LOVE IT! These are great and so comfortable. I think it's impossible to only own one pair; they are so awesome that I can't imagine not having more than one.
Feedback
They hold smell a bit, no matter how many times they go in the wash. Also, they fade quite a bit, not that this is an issue, but just something to be aware of.
