SmartSweets earns positive reviews for genuinely tasty, low‑sugar takes on nostalgic gummies like Sweet Fish, Peach Rings, Sourmelon Bites, and Red Twists; it satisfies cravings and often avoids “fake” sweetener aftertaste. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: many candies are extremely sticky or tough, flavors can be inconsistent with occasional stevia/allulose aftertaste and GI upset, and portions feel small. Overall, SmartSweets is good if cutting sugar, but texture quirks and formula variability make it a compromise for purists.

I have enjoyed these snacks/ candy. They nice because you can still have candy but with far less sugar. It satisfies the cravings.

Make them just a tad more solid.
Love the idea of these sweets! I unfortunately had a less than ideal experience with the gummy fish (like swedish fish). It was really sticky and hard to chew since it kept getting stuck to my teeth. For added context, I bought them on a hot summer day and they seemed to melt faster than other traditional gummies. Love the branding though, so eye catching whenever I see it in the store. Would like to try some other flavors in the future.
Feedback
Less sticky + higher melting point so it doesn't melt so fast on a warmer day.
I have a huge sweet tooth so it’s nice to have a healthier option to reach for. It is by no means quite as satisfying as the typical Swedish fish, but it will satisfy that craving when I need it!
Tastes like the real deal!
I love the concept of low sugar treats but taste/texture are meh.
Such a mixed bag! I've tried so many of the flavors - the watermelon, the Swedish fish, the sour patch kids These candies are STICKY! They stick to my teeth so much more than any other candy. Out of the three flavors I've tried, I only liked the faux sour path kids. They actually had a nice kick! However, for the other flavors, I like the originals way more, even though they aren't as "healthy"

Some of the candies are way too sticky that makes them difficult to eat
I've had the peach rings, gummy bears & the swedish fish. personally kinda of like them! they're definetly a good alternative to regular candy.
Feedback
chewiness is alittle off & kinda of pricey
As a sugar-obsessed sweet tooth, I would have loved this if it lived up to expectations, but it had lots of problems.
Feedback
Waaay to expensive, especially given the tiny portion size. But even more importantly, it tastes terrible, like stevia-as-a-candy. Gross.

Enjoy the taste of some more than others but i find it to be a good traditional candy substitute. My favorite are the fish and sour patch kids. If you're trying to cut sugar but have a sweet tooth, these are an effective place to start.

Love smart sweets. Have them almost daily (need to cut back!)

More variety of gummies! A little expensive as well.
These are definitely a "healthy" version of candy. Could never fully replace candy for me. You can taste the alternative sweeteners, but it's not overpowering. The texture is the main drawback. A little too sticky and the "sugar" coating on the outside is a bit dusty.

These are almost a guaranteed purchase for me whenever I'm at a Whole Foods. The sour rings and Sour Patch Kids have a strange texture to them but their gummy bears are incredible.
I grab these gummies at the store sometimes. They aren’t the best tasting or have the best texture, but they do as an alternative.
These are ok. If you’re trying to cut down then they’re fine but they just taste a little odd. I’ve tried the sour patch kids and watermelon sours and they just get stuck in your teeth. The price is a little steep as well so I wouldn’t get them again unless there was some sort of sale or deal.
Feedback
The texture so they don’t just get stuck in your teeth would make them more enjoyable
I enjoy the idea is “sugar-free”sweets, and I was drawn to their sour gummy kids because low sugar content and sour!? But, the monk fruit taste on these were killer and made these inedible. For the price and the taste, it was really disappointing. If you can tolerate artificial sweeteners or other alternatives, these would be great but they taste too off for me.
Feedback
Taste? I’ve had some good artificial sweetener goods (ex. Quest soft baked cookies), which use sucralose. Monk fruit just has such a distinct taste that I personally do not enjoy them.

Super expensive but such a nice little treat every once in a while. The concept is amazing but there are other healthy candy options for much cheaper. My favorites are the peach rings and the sour blast buddies.

Lower the price point!
Love the idea, tastes good!

Personally, the sugar alcohols make my stomach hurt
I love trying healthy candies and these are delicious! I go through bags of them at a time. They hit the right amount of sweet with a slight tang, but not at all sour. Sometimes they can leave a little bit of an aftertaste but I don't find it bad enough to not go for another bad.
Great in theory but poor in execution. I've tried a few of the gummy and chocolate options and find that the gummies in particular have a 'trying' texture. As in the first few you eat taste good... but the more you eat, the more you're thinking about the tacky gluey textured mess sticking to your teeth. Which makes you want to stop eating them. So I guess thats good if you're looking for a lil treat that will satisfy a sugar craving in a few bites? But I prefer my treats to be an joyful indulgence, not one that leaves you feeling a bit yucky
These come well reviewed online but I honestly didn't love them! The flavor and texture were off for me. If looking for a healthier alternative to your typical sweet treats, I'm not yet convinced they're worth it.
