SALT & STONE reviews reveal that while the brand offers luxurious scents and attractive packaging, its products can be hit or miss in terms of effectiveness. A major strength is the fresh and luxurious scent of their body washes and deodorants, which many users adore. However, a common weakness noted is the deodorant's inconsistent performance, particularly in maintaining odor protection throughout the day. Customers appreciate the brand's aesthetic and the luxurious feel of their products, but some find the price point high for the level of effectiveness. For potential buyers, it's worth sampling the products first to see if they suit your needs and preferences.

  • While the deodorant didn't work for me, I love the smell of their products, and the packaging is beautiful! I like their chapstick even though it's pretty waxy. I think their products would make for great gifts.

  • ’ve been using Salt & Stone’s deodorant and body bath for 2 months already, and I’ve got mixed feelings. First, the deodorant: I loved it at first! For about a month and half, it completely handled odor and even reduced humidity a useful and rare combo. But after that, it started losing effectiveness, and odors came back and i had to mix 2 deodorants for effectiveness until a go back to an other deodorant. Also, if you wear black, beware: it leaves white marks on fabrics, which isn’t ideal. Since it's very personal and not everyone has the same experience with deodorant i would say GIVE THEM A TRY! i was super happy the first month and half until my body decided differently! The body bath, on the other hand, is fantastic. The bottle’s format is generous, and the packaging is chic and minimal. My only complaint is the scent it’s quite strong and masculine, so it might not be for everyone but on my end i like it Overall, both products are stylish and feel high-end, but the performance of the deodorant faded too quickly for me.

  • This smells like a spa in the best way—fresh, woody, and calming. The scent feels elevated but not too strong. I keep it in my bag to reapply throughout the day and always get compliments. It's also a very light and not overwhelming.

  • I have a few salt and stone products. The perfume I got smells a bit too manly for me but smells nice if you’re just out of the shower and feeling out your dude chakra. I am still exploring their products.

  • Good ingredients and amazing smelling. I am just starting on the natural deodorant journey and I really like the smell of all of this brands line. I appreciate the aesthetic of the packaging. The regular deodorant feels a little grainy (not off putting) and the gel is smooth. I’m going to test out a few different kinds and report back

  • This is my winter deodorant, or my “sitting around the house working from home” deodorant. I’m not going to pretend this would hold up in the hottest summer heat, but for what it is, it’s perfect. The scents I’ve tried are Santal+Vetiver (my favorite) and Black Rose Oud, which I have currently. Love the gender neutral scents. It’s very gentle and I always wear it to bed. I do wish the packaging was not plastic.

  • I am liking the Santal & Vetiver Hydrating Body Lotion with Niacinamide by Salt & Stone The ingredients infuse nourishing seaweed extract and niacinamide to soften, protect, and restore the skin. It’s a deeply hydrating lotion that absorbs into your skin quickly. It smells very good but it does not have a very strong scent.

  • This is hands-down one of the best natural deodorants I’ve ever used — and I’ve tried a lot. Salt & Stone nails it with their sleek, minimalist packaging and luxe feel, but it’s the formula that wins. It glides on smooth, leaves no white residue, and actually keeps odor at bay without irritating sensitive skin. The scents (like Santal and Bergamot) are elevated — more like a subtle fragrance than your average deo!

  • I absolutely love this product. For me, it is super effective and a total game changer. For reference, I live in Texas and with the heat, doing any physical activity, especially outside can feel icky. It does what it says, leaves no residue on my clothes and it smells subtle but sophisticated. What's not to like?

  • The Salt + Stone body wash gel is my go-to, every day body wash. I love that it's a pump which makes for easy access, and the bottle is simple but looks cute in the shower. Also, although a higher price point, you get a lot of product for what you pay for and is the perfect 'little luxury'.

  • I have the hand cream and love the fragrance, packaging and how velvety the texture is. The product is easily absorbed and the scent last for a long time! The fact the the packaging doesn't use plastic (except for the cap) gives extra points !!

  • Amazing scents! I’m a huge fan of Bergamot so their Bergamot & Hinoki scent is right up my alley. The body wash is great - feels very luxurious, lathers just enough, and locks in moisture with the hyaluronic acid. If you love fragrance without all the overwhelming-ness that can happen with scented skincare this is great. If you want a scent that lasts though, it might be worth exploring different a different alternative. It’s a bit on the pricier end and I feel like you could get a “better” body wash for the price point but still a solid choice if you’re in the mood to splurge.

  • PRODUCTS & OVERVIEW: Santal & Vetiver Body Wash / Lotion Duo and Hand Cream; Bergamot & Hinoki Hand Cream OVERVIEW: I fell in love with these scents while exploring coastal California near Big Sur. The fragrances evoke the clean breeze, salty air, and natural aromas of the luxurious, mountainside beaches. The hand cream is buttery and melts into the skin without feeling greasy. It’s my go-to in both my purse and gym bag. The lotion has more slip but is perfect for layering Santal scents that linger throughout the day. The body wash smells lush and elevates every shower with its rich scent. That said, I recommend cleansing with a soap bar beforehand, as the body wash alone doesn’t have strong cleansing power. WORTH THE PRICE? Absolutely! It’s a luxury splurge, but it makes you feel oh-so-special. I’ve repurchased these products and plan to continue doing so. I keep the duo in our guest bathroom so visitors feel like they’re on vacation. I also reach for them when I want to feel like I’m back in Big Sur or to treat myself to a little at-home spa day. LONGEVITY: I’ve been purchasing these products for two years, and they’ve never disappointed me. I did try the deodorant, but from what I remember, I didn’t like it. Natural deodorants just don’t work for me but that’s more about my body chemistry than the product itself. BRAND MISSION: Salt & Stone creates high-performing, luxurious body care products that connect mind, body, and spirit. I appreciate their commitment to mindful packaging, sustainability, and their connection to the natural world. That mission truly comes through in their products.

  • I was recently gifted a salt & stone trio of items and I really love them! The scent is amazing and the products work so well. The body wash suds up very well and makes me feel so clean and hydrated after use!

  • Salt & Stone deodorants are my go-tos. Love the scents, especially the Neroli & Basil. Also such a treat to get the shower gel once in a while. Seriously all of the scents are excellent. Great unisex gift.

  • I love their packaging and the scents are nice but I unfortunately only liked their body washes. The deodorant didn’t work for me, the lotions were lacking and the candles put off too much soot and were only usable with a candle warmer. The products look like something from a luxury brand but are just really unremarkable.

  • I purchased as I was looking for alternatives to Aesop and DS&Durga products. My first mistake was buying items online without seeing or smelling anything in person. My second mistake was thinking this brand offered premium products I could stock in my guest baths and primary baths. Unfortunately, the smell and feel of the liquid body wash was too perfumy and super liquidly. I felt like it was watered down and it did not have a luxurious weight or after touch to it. I won't buy again and would not be excited to see this in any home.

  • Living in Chicago means I'm dealing with weather extremes, and Salt & Stone's deodorant has been a total game-changer. Most natural deodorants leave me smelling less than fresh by noon, but not this one! The eucalyptus scent stays put through my morning runs and even hot yoga. Plus, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin like so many others. The sustainable packaging is an added bonus.

  • Deodorant is good, but not long lasting. Products always smell good.
